The Green turtle delivers fine dining coupled with great view in this intimate venue, and offers outside dining overlooking the harbor. Top notch wine selection, attentive service and farm to table produce, seafood and meats make this my #1 choice in Gig Harbor. Menus vary daily.

I thought everything was delicious, never had anything bad. Prepare to pay the price for delicious food and you won’t be disappointed.

Beautiful view, great service, but with the price you pay the food isn’t up to par. If I’m spending 24 dollars on a chicken breast meal the meat shouldn’t be cooked to the point that is is dry. I ordered my steak rare and had to send it back because it was cooked well done. The second steak that came was still cooked over well done. I took my wife and grandmother here for dinner and was quite dismayed with the quality of food provided. The steamed clams were tasty and my grandmother liked the duck, but I was dismayed at the fact the chef couldn’t cook a rare steak, or a chicken breast.

My boyfriend and I were visiting from California and we had Jason as our waiter, the service he provided was excellent and the food was fabulous, I ordered the Halibut with the Curry sauce, it was amazing, spectacular views and we will go back when we return to Gig Harbor, a little Gem!

I absolutely LOVE The Green Turtle for lunch. I have eaten here multiple times and it has been great every time. Their steak salad is devine! I have also had the Salmon burger with gorgonzola and the Kobe sliders and both of those were fantastic as well. In addition to that all their produce is ORGANIC and the the views are spectacular. The customer service was great and they even let my little little Fiona(maltese) come sit on the deck next to me :)

I have no idea what these other reviewers are talking about. I absolutely love this place for lunch. First, they have ORGANIC produce which is amazing for health nuts like myself. I always get the steak salad which is amazing. My husband got the kobe beef sliders and chowder and he LOVED his meal. Hands down the best lunch place in gig harbor and I’ve tried almost all of them. Is it pricey? Yes but if you like healthy organic food like myself it’s worth the price. All of the waiters that I have seen have been SUPER friendly. I will be very upset if this restaurant ever goes out of business. Even a business partner always likes to meet here for lunch because he believes it’s the best restaurant in town and he’s from Port townsend.

Stay away & save your money. Atmosphere is outstanding. Service is good. Food is horrible. Soup was cold and watery, with no taste. Main course was very small, cold and tasteless.

A great deck on which to enjoy your meal. The food is good, and combined with the ambiance of the deck and it’s location on Gig Harbor, it’s a great place for dinner. Good view of Mt. Rainier.

I was really excited to try this place because I’d always heard it was super gourmet. We sat out on the patio, which has a beautiful view. I ordered the steak salad. Sounds good, right? I was imagining rare slices of grilled steak and a yummy dressing. What I got was gray hunks of bland meat, three croutons, and a slice of tomato. The creamy dressing was almost definitely not homemade. It tasted like Hidden Valley ranch. Bleh. Really mediocre salad. And it was $ 17! The rest of my party didn’t seem to enjoy their entrees either. My friend’s avocado in her sandwich was so hard she couldn’t bite through it! The desserts were all very yummy, though! Can’t go wrong there and they probably don’t make them in house. That’s a good thing. The service was also not amazing. He was not helpful in breaking up the tab at all. I wouldn’t return here.

Our first night back in Gig Harbor & we were told to try this place for dinner. When we walked in there were only 2 other couples eating, the place was pretty empty. The service was excellent, we had a very knowledgable server who was very friendly. My dinner was good, not great but I will try this place again maybe when we are able to sit on the patio.

What is the minimum age to eat here? My wife and I ate dinner here for or 20th anniversary. We are in are early 40s and were the youngest people there by at least 20 years. Shouldn’t some thing with gorgonzola in the name taste like gorgonzola? And if you are not going to season your food please put salt on the table.

Same owners as the Cliff House in Browns Point, although you would never notice by the menu. This is the sort of place you go for drinks on the deck. Went in for lunch and the food was very bland. I liked the seafood chowder although I had a hard time finding seafood in it. How on earth they are still open is beyond me. It’s almost comical.

We(finally) came for the first time after living in Gig Harbor for years. This is a small white-tablecloth kinda place. Service was prompt with the one server, but there were only two tables seated when we entered and a few more filled while we were there. There are almost twice as many tables on the uncovered deck, but since it was pouring rain, no one was interested in sitting at them. We both had cocktails, which were tasty. Served in a martini glass, they come with the tumbler included, so you functionally get two drinks. We were both in a surf-and-turf mood, so can really only review one entré. The entré came with a choice of seafood chowder or Ceasar salad. Again, we were both in a mood for chowder, so only one appetizer to review. I’m not a huge seafood fan, but the chowder was good. Creamy and mild, tasting like fresh seafood(but not fishy). The surf and turf was a slice of filet mignon resting on mashed red potatoes with two large shrimp, some small sweet peppers and a few green beans. I had mine medium-rare and it was cooked well. My partner’s was ordered as medium, but was a little overcooked. Both steaks needed a little more salt and pepper. There were no shakers on any of the tables, and the lone server was too busy to interrupt him to get some… unless we wanted cold steaks, which we didn’t. There was a white sauce on top which was OK, but just a cream sauce which did not add much. Having said that, both of our plates were quite clean when we were done. We shared a Crème Brulé for dessert — cold custard with a flamed, crusty burned sugar topping. Good. In summary, the dinner was good, but not spectacular. With the drinks and dessert, it was a bit north of $ 100. Nice place, good food, but I’m not sure it was almost $ 150 good.

This place gets a 5.0 for the view and a 3(sadly, recently) for the food. We’ve been going here for several years and the quality has been quite good for lunch, but but I would agree in this last outing, something has changed. The view is spectacular in the little street off the main part of Gig Harbor. We love the view and especially what you can see from the patio. For lunch we had a salmon wrap which was a little underseasoned sadly, although the clams were quite nice. It wasn’t expensive, so perhaps the main thing is to enjoy the view. In years past, the entrees have been quite inventive, so it could have been that we were just on an off day.
