My first time here. Cali Roll was good — I wish they would remind patrons the Crab in the rolls is Krab – unless you specify real crab. Fine print to ask for real Crab is at top of menu. Don’t order the ‘Sweet Cheesy Corn’ appetizer — unless you don’t mind canned corn and veggies with cheese. Staff was nice.

Great little sushi place! Had the Ruby Roll, Spicy Rainbow Roll, and Baked Scallop Roll-all delicious! Seafood was fresh, great flavor mix, and rolls are large & priced well. Will definitely return!

Great sushi… I always recommend the Domo roll; it’s much better than the Mana Roll(just kidding). Also highly recommend the Ika salad.

Worst sushi I have ever eaten. One step up from Safeway sushi. People who eat sushi often, beware. The rice is mush and has no flavor. There is way too much of the rice in the rolls too. Maybe for the demographic in GIg Harbor, it works. But for me, oh man. Not good. I guess the first warning would have been the Chinese and Korean food on the menu. My husband had the sushi combo #2 and he is so full because of all of that rice! I think there was about 4 cups of rice in that combo. Lol. Service was good and the restaurant was clean. The Chinese food was ok. Overall, it is an Americanized«sushi» restaurant.

Excellent sushi. Have been here multiple times. Our favorites are the playgirl roll, Julie roll, duble red tuna roll, and orange blossom roll. Order the avocado bomb. It’s not on the menu. It’s amazing. The owner is amazing as well. 3⁄16 update — lunch here is awesome. 10 bucks and you pick three ½ rolls. Their miso soup is seafood based and is the best I’ve ever had. Love this place. 4÷21÷16 update — why do I go anywhere else? This place is awesome. I’ve probably been here 20 times and nearly every time the service is excellent and the food is always top notch.

I was very excited to eat here, as I had heard a lot of great reviews. My review is less than stellar. I’ll start by saying the sushi is ok. My cousin and I went to eat there and the roll she ordered was supposed to have two types of fish, it only had one. Our server never once came to check on us, so she had to go up to the sushi bar and get a different server. Who then replaced the roll with the correct one. The miso soup wasn’t good. I didn’t like it at all. I make better miso soup at home. The service was horrendous. Our server was nice at first, but then she never came back to check on us. There was 3 men behind the sushi bar and what appeared to be 3 servers. And one of the servers kept looking at us, and smiling at us, but no one checked on us. It’s frustrating having to wave someone down. The only good thing about the place was their avocado boat. That was delicious. But the next time I go for sushi it will be to Mizu.

Great food, modern décor, and great service. I will be back for sure. I especially enjoyed their ahi poke. Their menu is huge, with food items ranging from Japanese, chinese, and even korean food, despite their diverse menu I was impressed with the freshness of their fish. I had myself a sashimi platter and was very satisfied to find good quality blue fin tuna(not yellow fin) and salmon. I have been to a lot of sushi places disappointed to see fluorescent watery yellowfin tuna. I will be back!

My service writer suggested this place. We drove over mid day on Good Friday. I like the small setup, I don’t even mind the prices. What I didn’t care for was how dirty and unkempt the waitresses looked. The menus were tattered. The sushi was pretty good, not the best I’ve ever had(or close) but better than most I’ve tried in the area.

Domo sushi has a wonderful menu with tons of variety when it comes to maki sushi rolls. I have tried the 911 roll, sans avocado, and the red ice ball roll — both were spectacular with delicious, fresh tasting fish. The staff is amazing and very friendly as well, making the overall dining experience very enjoyable.

I highly recommend Domo Sushi. The Lion King roll is probably one of the best on the menu. If you aren’t in the mood for sushi, try the yakiudon with tofu. The noodles are so tasty and filling! Honorable mention: The takoyaki is super hot and melts in the mouth. For drinks, if you like sake, give Taru a try. It was fairly balanced and light, with a dry finish.

A surprisingly upscale suishi resteraunt next to Michaels. Don’t let the small storefront keep you from going in, it’s very modern and roomy. Outdoor seating and very clean in and out. Service was fast and friendly food portions were average for the price. We got the heart attack which was very good, also we got the Gig Harbor roll, very tasty and we’ll made. Finally we got tuna sashimi which was cut nicely and we’ll portioned.

Wide menu selection Typical sushi prices, great presentation and taste. Had a bad customer service experience the one time I went where we were not checked on for a while when we needed something.

We have gone twice and it is great. Friendly, helpful and delicious. Love their miso soup… and I usually don’t care for it. Really great sushi!

We usually come here during the week if we do go and we place our order to go. We don’t usually have an issue with service. Sometimes it does take quite a long time to get our food(20 minutes or more). We have had their sushi rolls, teriyaki, bento boxes, and udon. All is good, nothing amazing or standout versus your usual sushi place. It’s convenient for us, the food is good, and our experiences haven’t been anything to complain about.

In my three visits to Domo there has never been a host or hostess at the front of the restaurant. This has always meant I am waiting around to put my name on the list or pick up my food. Have I forgotten to remove my cloak of invisibility Domo? On my last visit the udon was good and the $ 8 bowl was satisfying without needing a second stomach. Saying there are vegetables in the udon, while accurate, is a bit of a stretch though. Shaved onion is vegetables like Kreayshawn is music. broccoli broccoli, bok choy bok choy, mushrooms mushrooms… nada. Our waiter was kind, but when he forgot to bring the miso before the udon noodles he went«Eh, it’s free anyway.» Well let me just don my invisibility cloak and score some miso already.

All those great food photos, so I ordered an Ahi Tower which came with hardly any Ahi. I asked for more Ahi, and they brought me a decent amount to compensate. We also ordered a Dinner Salad with Teriyaki Salmon. The Salmon was a little on the dry side and was not Teriyaki, but the mix of stuff in the salad was great. It came with Teriyaki sauce on the side, but didn’t keep the Salmon from being dry.

I have to say this place is pretty darn good! Sometimes the service is hit and miss but the food is good and that’s all that really matters, especially when your dealing with raw fish. Two thumbs up from this sushi snob !! Went again recently(4 – 28) and food was great but service was terrible. Forgot some of our order, and what did come out was almost 30 mins after ordering. Also, we saw some of our sushi was still sitting there and no one brought it to us. Very disappointed with service… don’t know if I will give them another try.

Excellent sushi in Gig Harbor! The place is very popular so it would be advised to arrive early! I got a couple of rolls, the Spicy Tuna Roll and another spicy variety type roll and both were simply wonderful! Definitely one of the better sushi restaurants in the Tacoma area and it shows if you show up later and find yourself in a line! Also some great local beers on tap. A worthy stop!
