Just Your Style

I am currently a red-​head by choice, and we all know that reds are the first colors to fade. Julie has been working with me for two years now to come up with different shades of red that last vibrantly between cuts (5 – 6 weeks.) She also has consistently given me a good cut. I’ve recommended my family and friends to her. In fact, when my teenage son was ready to cut his waist-​length hair, I couldn’t think of anyone I’d rather have do it than Julie. She donates the clippings to «Locks of Love» and, for long hair, «Wigs for Kids.» Julie is probably one of the sweetest, most accommodating people I’ve ever met. People in her shop are friendly and unpretentious, and her prices are very reasonable. She’ll book me with my husband so she can cut his hair while I’m processing. It’s always a party! Julie is also an amazing humanitarian and puts her money where her mouth is by volunteering for political and social causes.

Sarah did a wonderful job with my cut. She was very sweet and did exactly what I wanted. $ 25 for the shampoo, cut, and style was amazing and worth it. I plan on going back. The only negative thing I would say is the atmosphere. But hey! With low overhead that’s how they keep their prices so low!

My sister is a hair stylist and I moved to Texas because she lived here and I knew I could get good haircuts. A year later she moved… For the last four years, I have been searching for Julie.
I am happy now that I have found someone to cut my hair to Just My Style and not the way they want it to look! Julie believes in working with natural wave and cuts my hair so that I can work with it. I don’t usually have the stylist dry my hair because I can never make it look the same as they do (maybe if I could take my head off and stand behind it). I still don’t get it quite the same look as Julie does, but I am happy with it and have gone back to natural curls and scrunching and not trying to make every hair so perfectly placed and straight.
I love the shampoo and massage that I get every time I go in there. The charge for a wash, cut and style is only $ 25. no separate charge for each service like most salons charge.

When I walked in the door, the first words out of my husand’s mouth was ‘omg … what a hack job!” I cried so, he took me by the hand and walked me into his office, where he took out a pair of paper scissors and fixed it. It looked a ton better. That says it all.
I have medium length hair and wear it straight. I’ll I wanted was an inch or so off the already straight cut. All JULIE had to do was follow that line but she left me with extremely jagged ends. It was so badly cut it’s difficult to believe she didn’t do it intentionally!
This place is a dive; an absolute dump inside. But I was hoping that the reviews I read here were true, so I overlooked the salon and believed I would get a good cut from Julie. Boy was I wrong.
If you wear your hair in an updo or if it is short and wavey, you could get away with one of her cuts, but if you have straight hair go without before you go here. JULIE can actually make you look worse!

Usually, my bank account shrinks right when my split ends grow to a point when I’m afraid someone is going to take my ‘girl’ license away. So I go to a cheap place for a cheap fix. And almost always, I run home, frantically trying to trim my choppy bangs and uneven hair. Thanks to Julie I’m in remission from my cheap haircut habit.
They are generous, affordable, comfortable and make your hair beautiful.

Just went for my first cut at Just Your Style! Sarah was my stylist and she was just precious. The salon has a very comfortable, homey feel. Don’t go here if you’re looking for a lot of frou frou or upscale touches in your salon. I personally am a bigger fan of salons with a relaxed atmosphere. I can’t stand places that make me feel like I need to get dressed up just to go to the salon, so this was perfect!
Again, Sarah was my stylist. Getting my appointment was quick and easy, and I arrived just before my appointment. She was ready to go! She’s friendly and put me at ease immediately. She looked carefully at my hair, asked me about how I like to style it and what I was looking for, then whisked me off for a shampoo.
I was not going for major change-​just cleaning up my dead ends and reshaping my super long hair. She did just that. She made my stick straight, baby fine, TONS of hair (it’s baby fine but there’s a whole lot of it) look bouncy and lively instead of flat. She did it quickly and effeciently, confirmed my satisfaction, and at the end said «Now if you wake up tomorrow and don’t love it, you be sure to let me know and I’ll fix you up!». Talk about good customer service.
Now the best part-​the price. A cut and style only set me back $ 22! Talk about honest prices.
I’d highly recommend coming here for a good, honest hair cut, without the pretense or the price! I’ll definitely be back.
