My wife got her hair cut and colored there. The person who did the work did a terrible job. I’m not a writer, so the pictures we took will have to do. As they say a picture says a 1000 words. The«hair dresser» who cut and colored her hair was fired thank god. We requested a credit and the owner said that it wasn’t his problem. When I tried to get a credit from Discover, he wrote to discover that I was a «lame dude», what ever that is supposed to mean, and told them since the girl that did the work was fired he shouldn’t have to credit us. This was all over $ 77.00. My wife in turn had to go to a reputable salon and paid almost triple to get it all fixed. You get what you pay for and I would stay away from this place. It will most likely be out of business soon anyway. Three stars on Unilocal, ouch, guess there is a reason and we should have checked first.

I used a groupon for a shellac manicure and basic pedi. Quyen(sp) prounounced«Quinn» did both. My nails looked great and lasted 2 weeks before the first chip and this was AFTER I helped my husband build a wood pergola. So picking up wood planks, drilling, hammering etc. and my nails still were perfect. My toes were also great! Two reasons they didn’t get 5 stars: 1) The masseuse offered me his card and services which was fine. Then he came up and offered me a free sample massage about 5 minutes later. That was a little annoying and slightly pushy. My other reason was I was there about 2.5 hours. I’m not sure how long a pedi and shellac manicure would take but that seemed like a long time to me. But maybe perfection takes time because I can’t find one issue with my results.

After two visits I will not go back. Its not a very relaxing atmosphere. The staff are friendly but the«spa» also hosts art classes and I had a hard time relaxing with a large group of teens having fun in an art class on one visit. During my other visit the art lady had a very loud business conversation in front of me with another employee for well over 10 minutes. Both times the pedicure was very rough and painful ebough to make me cringe a few times. Both times my pedicure had bubbles and lines once it dried. I thought It was my fault the first time but I was super careful with them the second time. Might be old nail polish or odd chemicals used? The first shellac manicure was nicely done but the second one is very unevenly done with heavier color pooled at the tips of my nails so that it almost looks like I was attempting some sort of ombré effect.

I have been going here for about 10 years since I was in high school. The owner, Trang, is the sweetest and I always ask for her if I can. She even came to my high school graduation many years ago. She takes her time and doesn’t rush. I always love the way my toes look afterwards. If you are looking for a quick nail place, this isn’t for you — but if you want to relax and take your time come here! I’ve never been disappointed. They have reward cards too so get one started and earn free pedicures and manicures.

I went in for the shellac mani and pedi. I had an appt and showed up about 5 minutes early. I was addressed to go sit down but not told how long it would be. 25 minutes later, a lady came and took me to the pedicure chairs. She gave me the box of colors to choose from. It was pretty overwhelming. I finally just picked a color and quit trying to look at them all. The lady started my pedicure and another worker came by yelling at her for using her stuff. I couldn’t believe she was scolding her in front of everyone. The woman doing my nails was nice about it. They were a bit rough on the feet as others mentioned. After the pedicure, you have to walk a good ways down a slope in those foam slippers to get a manicure. It was here that the woman doing my nails mentioned that she usually does hair but needed the business so had just started doing nails. She was trying really hard but I could tell it was tough for her. My pedicure ended up rubbing off within two weeks and my manicure has big lumps. Oh well!

Edited 6÷21÷2015: Groupon issued a refund for both of the services I bought — the haircut and mani/pedi. TL; DR: Weird place, rude staff, and ridiculous«fee» that is the same amount as the Groupon for hair longer than who knows what length. I was so disappointed with my experience here that I decided to finally create an account so I could warn others off of the Groupon. I purchased both the Groupon for a haircut and for the shellac mani /regular pedi. I arrived for my appointment and there was no one at the desk. It smelled like human waste. I’m sure this had to be the smell of salon chemical, but it was overpowering by the door. My first impression was not«day spa». The feeling of the page was WEIRD. There was what looked like a painting class going on, some merchandise for sale near that(i didn’t stop and look at that), and a unisex bathroom in the very back. The strangest thing was there was one customer on a Thursday afternoon. A moment after walking in, a stylist came in behind me and asked if I was there for the Groupons. She did not introduce herself. From the moment I walked in, I felt like she was put out. I thought maybe I had interrupted something she would rather have been doing. I explained what I wanted to do with my hair. I wanted mostly a trim, my layers had grown out. She looked at my hair, then asked if I knew about the fee for longer hair. I said I didn’t.(It is in the fine print of the Groupon. I think all salons have that somewhere on their services list.) I have worn my hair the same length for my entire adult life and have never been charged extra for length. I was surprised when she mentioned it. I asked her how much the charge would be, and she said $ 20. A $ 20 fee for a $ 21 Groupon. That means I’m not saving any money by purchasing the Groupon. I can get a good haircut in several places for $ 40 plus tip. i voiced dissatisfaction over that, and told her that no one mentioned a fee for hair over a certain length when I made an appointment. She snapped that I hadn’t talked to her. I told her I would seek a refund from Groupon, and that I didn’t want to have my nails done there. I didn’t get an apology. Maybe other Groupon folk hadn’t tipped on the full price of service. Maybe the stylist was having a very bad day. Either way, I felt like I had wasted time and money and was treated with contempt laced with apathy. I’m glad I left and would recommend avoiding the Groupon and this«day spa». If there is a certain length that causes the price of a service to double, it should be clearly stated before hand. «Hair over 10 inches long will incur a $ 20 charge».

I bought a groupon and decided to give this place a try. I am so happy I did! The staff were all very friendly and I was able to get started as soon as I walked in. I will be back and definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Purchased a groupon for two shellac manis and two pedis. I used one and my friend the other. The name day spa in downtown Georgetown is very deceiving. This is a hole in the wall slightly down the street from the courthouse. I was nervous. Pink flamingos is their deco choice. The pedi was ok. She cut me once and I couldn’t relax during the exfoliation it was so uncomfortable. My gel nails look like my nine year old did it. I had to ask her to get it off my cuticles as she just left plum nail polish on my fingers. This was not even worth the price I paid for a groupon. Most disappointed I was under the impression this was a nicer facility. Don’t judge a business by its name.

Had a groupon-called at 12pm for a same day appt. Ms. Trang answered the phone and was super nice and accommodating. Arrived 30 mins late for my appt. but she was waiting patiently. Took care of my nails, we laughed and chatted. Spa had clean floors and was very organized. Loved my nails. Even found some quality outfits at 85% off! Will visit again.

I came in for a mani and pedi. First, the girl that was doing my pedi was new and you could tell. She hurt my feet many times. Even after I jerked, she didn’t change what she was doing. Second, they took forever to do my nails. There were three workers and I was the only customer!!! It took about 2 hours to do a mani and pedi, way too long in my opinion! The lady doing my nails kept getting up to answer phone calls and fixing things. What about the other workers?! I didn’t even like the way she did my manicure. The only pro was their selection of nail polish collection. I would not go back.

I had a Groupon for 2 spa pedicures and shellac manicures purchased for me for Christmas. I used the first one in January and was rather disappointed in the shellac manicure polish. Their choices were very limited and I didnt feel that it was applied properly since it peeled in a matter of days. I thought it was just the fault of the manicurist since she did the work a little fast and sloppy. There were gaps on the sides and she didnt get the top coat all over the color portion. I should have spoke up but didnt. I used the second one just a couple of days ago and thought that since a different person did the manicure it would be better. This was NOT the case. While it initially looked better, here we are 4 days later and its already chipped and peeling up. I have had shellac manicures in other places before and they have lasted for weeks. Im not sure what they are doing wrong but I dont recommend this place for shellac. The pedicure was adequate.

While I was trying to explain I had this Groupon to use she she told me to «call Groupon and get you money back we too busy» So my oldest daughter had a Groupon too and she was going in with her friend to get nails done they told her«ok come in» they get there and they are told«we only do one other come back» my daughter was baffled THESALONWASEMPTY!!! This was a horrible experience for us both and we will NEVER recommend or give these people our money!

I went here for a mani pedi using a $ 20 Groupon deal. The salon is pretty large and was mostly empty. It didn’t feel very luxurious or relaxing but was nice enough and I wasn’t there for a relaxing spa day, just to get my nails done and move on. With that said it served my purposes well; they were quick and efficient and the place seemed clean. The manicure is not the best I’ve ever gotten and she was a little hurried. Bottom line, it was a good experience and a good value but don’t go there expecting lots of pampering and relaxation.

I found this place because of a groupon! So I made my appt, and went to redeem it. I was in the pedi station right at my appt time, and the ladies were all so sweet and nice. They carried conversation with me and the other customer next to me, as well as each other. Pretty inviting. As for the service, it was really good! I had a basic pedi, and a shellac mani. All my nails look good!(this was also the first lady to ever get my ingrown toe nail without making me wanna climb the wall!) The massage was mediocre, but I’m 8 months pregnant so I’m going to assume she took it easy because of that. Other than that very clean, organized, and the staff was super friendly. It was such a nice break from the in and out nail salons I typically go to.

My name is Ashton Strader, LMT. I am a massage therapist at Beauty Escape and would like to redirect the reputation of this place. We’ve been rated one star that effects the whole spa, for a massage therapist, but I am not the massage therapist mentioned. The Beauty Escape has many talented employees who deserve positive reviews. The massage therapist mentioned in other reviews may do things a bit different, but is experienced and has had positive results with his clients– though some people find the style outside their comfort zone, and this is understandable. Though he has taught me some useful techniques, he and I have quite different styles. I do mainly Swedish(relaxation) and go a bit deeper when asked. My massage includes full arms and legs(gluteals as well), hands, feet, back, neck and head– any can be requested as areas not to cover. With that being said, if you’ve had a bad experience receiving a massage at Beauty Escape or simply feel more comfortable receiving a massage from a female, I would like for you to try my services. One hour is $ 40 introductory and $ 45 regular. I am here Tuesday through Saturday. Call(512) 930‑0605 to make an appointment today. If you have had a positive experience with any staff member for any service, I would greatly appreciate your review. You are welcome to leave criticism as well, so we can do our best to change what needs to be changed. Thank you, Ashton
