The cupcake shop is super cute, very feminine, and trendy… perfect for my ladies church group during our weekend trip to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge. The cupcake display of the beautiful cupcakes draws you in like a magnet. I love that they offer sample tastings of some of their cupcakes. The customer service is fantastic — the girls behind the counter were extremely helpful! I will say, the different flavored cupcakes that I tried were overwhelmingly sweet, primarily due to the butter cream frosting that is typical of cupcakes and cakes. I hoped that there would be a larger selection of cupcakes so that I had something a little more subtle and less sweet to choose from. I ended up getting the Wedding Cake cupcake, which was very pretty and good. I scraped off most of the frosting and ate the yummy cake. I would go back to Gigi’s again simply to try a different flavor or a different type of dessert.

I don’t feel the way everyone else does apparently. We went in and got red velvet which wasn’t red it was literally chocolate cake :(. The frosting was okay but i didn’t like the frosting in the middle. My husband got cookie dough and it was a muffin with frosting. It was dry

Gigi’s Cupcakes are(almost) too incredible to eat! Recently, on our way home from a family vacation, we stopped in Gatlinburg as a pitstop and to break up the drive. I still had a couple souvenirs to buy and wanted something a little less predictable than a magnet or t-shirt. Enter Gigi’s. I had never heard of Gigi’s prior to coming across the shop on Parkway. It’s a small, quaint little shop, nestled in the heart of Gatlinburg. The cupcakes are phenomenal. The icing is stacked higher than the cupcake itself and is a very rich, creamy icing. I’m not a fan of an overabundance of icing, but Gigi’s icing has a perfect consistency and flavor that doesn’t make it too overpowering. The cupcakes are baked fresh daily and, for purchasing at 8PM, were still incredibly moist and delicious. The menu changes daily and is available in an array of flavors. I purchased Carrot Cake for myself and Merry Margarita and Wedding Cake as souvenirs. Carrot Cake speaks for itself and is topped with a cream cheese icing. Merry Margarita is margarita flavored yellowcake with margarita cream cheese frosting. Wedding Cake is white cake topped with a vanilla cream cheese frosting. All of the flavors were delectable and rich and I can only assume everything offered on the menu is the same. Descriptions of all of the flavors available can be found on Gigi’s website. The girl behind the counter was very knowledgable on the cupcakes and was more than polite in answering the questions I’m sure she’s asked 100x a day: How long do they last? What is this flavor? What kind of icing is that? She was very patient with my indecision and very willing to help. The cupcakes are a little pricey($ 3+/cupcake), but definitely worth the extra money, compared to a bland, store-bought cake. I highly recommend Gigi’s and will be returning to one of the locations closer to home in order to purchase cupcakes for an upcoming birthday party!
