Although it looks cute and delicious it’s not. I literally spent 18 $ on a box of bullshit. There’s 3 tables which were all taken so I asked the lady at the counter if she knew if anyone was leaving anytime soon and she just shrugged her shoulders So whatever I finish paying and I see one table clear so I say what about that one Turns out they gave it to the people that came in after I had asked the first time So fine I took my selection to go I get home supper excited because I’ve been craving sweets for a while. I was so disappointed! The only thing that tasted half decent was the strawberry shortcake and even that wasn’t anything to rave about. Everything taste so dull Don’t waste your time, go somewhere else.

Very pretty and tasty desserts, perfect for a special occasion or to do something nice for yourself. We bought a box of assorted pastries and enjoyed each and every one. Very fresh and high quality, bakes perfectly and nice to look at! Prices are a bit higher than most Asian bakeries in the area, hence one star less, but it’s still a great bakery with excellent service worth visiting!

I been going to this place for many years and I love their cookies and cakes… However, their Pre order Christmas cake this year was the worst thing ever. It was so disgusting. The bread part of the cake was made mistakenly or something. It tasted separated, watery with no taste. Worst Christmas cake ever. So disappointed… We should have ordered elsewhere or just got the fruit tart from here.

My go to place for ordering birthday cakes and picking up desserts for special occasions. I love the mocha cake as it’s super light and not too sweet with fresh strawberries, blueberries and raspberries on top. Other desserts I recommend are the chocolate cake, green tea mousse cake and mango mousse cake but you really can’t go wrong with any of them! The staff are all Japanese and super nice and polite. There’s a few seats inside where you can have your dessert with coffee but I usually take my dessert to go to enjoy at home. Be sure to order your cake in advance if you want it for a special occasion. Definitely recommend this place for dessert!

A slice of chocolate cake and a café latte The bakery is small, cute and japanese owned. The workers are very sweet and smile to greet you. Their selection isn’t as much as other bakeries. I got the chocolate cake today. Not too sweet like American style cakes, very soft and moist. Japanese baked goods are always balanced in taste. it’s not as heavy. Everything is so cute and dainty here! Great place for a lunch date. I really want to try the Mont Blanc. Will come back to try!

I am OBSESSED with this wonderfully quaint, little café. I stumbled across it as I was trying to satisfy my daily urge for coffee and pastries. I sat down to have a fruit tart and a cup of coffee and immediately felt I was back in France having authentic French pastries and amazing coffee. The only difference: at Bonjour they also have extremely friendly service. The ladies who work there are pleasant and attentive. However, the most superb aspect is indeed the fruit tart. With lustrous pieces of fruit carefully selected and artfully planted on top of perfectly sweetened cream, this tiny dessert is truly a master piece. I fall in love each time. My sincere respect to the chef(s).

The desserts here are actually pretty and petite. And yes, it’s kinda a girly place with all the Asian ladies drinking coffee/tea with dessert. The desserts are less sweet than American counterparts which I prefer. I like their ice coffee and the service is very good here. It’s fun to go with several friends and share desserts.

Japanese French fusion bakeries are my favorite! This is definitely a great place to enjoy delicious cakes. You can’t really go wrong with any of their cakes. It’s all good. I’ve tried most of them and still have to go back and try the rest. My two favorites are the strawberry and the green tea. The cakes are like sponge cakes. It’s very consistent, just right amount of moisture, and sweetness. Their ice coffee is pretty good as well. Definitely a good pair, refreshing coffee with some yummy cakes. There are other baked goods as well like cookies and pastries but I’ve never tried it before. Looks good though. I like how you have the option to dine in at the bakery if you’re too eager and can’t wait. The workers there are very helpful with recommendations and eager to serve you. It’s definitely worth to try this place. Hope you all enjoy it as much as I do.

Bonjour has been my favorite bakery since yet 1992… It’s been around longer but 1992 was when I first discovered this cake heaven. They were most popular for strawberry short cake. Mmmmmmm sooooo goooooood!!! Sponge cake is super moist and cream aren’t as sweet as other bakery that are around. I personally don’t like overly sweet cakes. Their ice coffee and ice tea so gooood! something about their ice tea turns ordinary summer afternoon to a perfect summer afternoon~ so refershing and yummy. My other favorites are raisin sand, Mont Blanc, Fruit tarts… i think i like them all. They make the perfect custard. Their custard is the base for custard puff and the fruti tart. i’ve taken their fruit tarts to a housewarming partys… family gatherings and its always hit of the party. people can’t stop talking about how good they are all the time. This place is definately jewel of the town and so glad I live close by.

A couple of days ago I found that Patisserie Chantilly was closed for renovation for a couple of weeks so a quick search on Unilocal threw up Bonjour French Pastry which seems to be modeled on similar lines(Japanese + French fusion) so I decided to give it a try. Bonjour French Pastry is located in the corner of a small strip mall with a bunch of other Japanese restaurants. It’s a pretty small place with a single display case containing goodies. As it was my first visit I decided to get some recommendations. I was told that their Profiterole($ 3.75) and Mont Blanc($ 4.50) were their best sellers so decided to get one of each. I had to pay cash as they have a $ 15 minimum requirement for using cards. Taste wise the Profiterole was terrific. It consisted of layers of cream puffs topped with chocolate. The Mont Blanc on the other hand was too monotonous and too bland for my taste. It was really delicate like a mousse that had a hazelnut at the bottom. I didn’t care for it very much. Price wise most items are in the $ 3 to $ 5 range which is in-line with other similar bakeries so no issues there. Service was also very good and the person behind the counter was eager to help. Overall I was satisfied and should be back to sample a couple of more things off their menu.

This French inspired Japanese pastry shop located in Gardena makes me so happy. I’ve been here too many times to count. It’s my go to for goodies when I’m hosting dinner for my friends and family at home. The presentation is absolutely immaculate. The quality and taste are consistent every time and this is why I keep coming back for more. There are a few tables inside, perfect for a quick tea or coffee date! The profiteroles are my favorite. They are filled with cream and covered in chocolate– a must try! They offer seasonal goodies, so stop by regularly to make sure you don’t miss out on any of them.

Been by here 1000s of times and never knew this place existed until Unilocal. Located in a Japanese Strip Mall in Gardena… this little place is a hidden gem. Everything is of quality and packaged neatly in true Japanese fashion. The ladies that work here are very kind and the sweets are awesome. Im hooked.

Great place to sit and chat with a friend over delicious desserts! Tucked away in a plaza, this Japanese/French bakery has a small seating area for customers to dine in. Service is always great, and the waitresses are very courteous. Normally I’m not the biggest fan of eating a lot of sweets, but when it comes to Japanese/French bakery I’m all in! Their desserts are always light and not overly sugary. They actually make an effort when creating their desserts, whereas American desserts seem to be doused in layers of disgusting supermarket«whipped cream.» Most of the desserts here are delicate and everything always tastes fresh! I highly recommend trying out the different desserts, and having their coffee with coffee cubes while dining in!

Came here after work a good month ago — not the best time since they were about to close and really didn’t have much desserts/pastries left — I only came cause my company had received cakes from this place before and I was curious as to what else they have to offer. I ordered a few items: small apple pastry, two types of cheesecake — one was Japanese, the other was a regular cheesecake and a Chestnut mousse for my mom. The Japanese cheesecake was a little chewy at the top — didn’t really like it. The chestnut mousse was interesting and not very sweet. The regular slice of cheesecake was alright and the apple pastry was pretty good too. I ordered four pastries which cost me about $ 20…so $ 5 a piece — they were pretty small so I would say it was pretty expensive. The quality and taste is alright. Friendly services but if I do come again or I suggest perhaps come in the afternoons — probably have more choices.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while but I gave up because it was always closed when I stopped by, even during its regular hours. I must have stopped by at least four times in the past and never had any luck. There were no signs posted either as to why they were closed. I only got to try this place because my wife picked up some desserts here last week and brought them home. Not sure on the names but she bought some sort of cheesecake, Mont Blanc, choux(cream puff), and matcha mousse cake. The pastries here look and taste very similar to the ones at Patisserie Chantilly, although I think Chantilly is slightly better. The matcha mousse cake was quite good with a strong matcha flavor and soft, spongy texture. It wasn’t too sweet but the contrast between the red bean layer and matcha cake layer tasted off balance. The one at Chantilly had a more consistent flow of flavor with a better balance between the sweet red bean layer and bitter matcha layer. I can’t comment much on choux because it sat for too long before I ate it so it had lost its freshness. I will have to dine in for this item to make a fair comparison. I’m not too familiar Mont Blanc dessert. At first I thought it was some sort of chocolate dessert but it was more of a light cocoa flavored layer with some chestnut purée filling. The flavor threw me off a bit because it’s not what I expected but it tasted pretty good and the texture was very silky, smooth, and creamy. Out of the four items I have to pick the cheesecake as my favorite. It sounds really simple but the cheesecake was really soft and moist, unlike the traditional American version, and had a custard like flavor. I will definitely come here to give choux another try and also get few more items, but I’m calling ahead next time to make sure it’s open.

What I don’t understand is how a place like this can go easily unnoticed while other bakeries, which basically have the same treats, can be so popular? Every little pastry dessert is SO cutely decorated; it makes you feel like you MUST have it. But then when you do buy it, you don’t want to eat it because of how cute it is. The best example is the profiterole, which looks like a pyramid of chocolate cream puffs topped with nuts! They were delicious! They’re similar to the famous chocolate Beard Papas, except the one here is a bit sweeter because it is glazed with caramel on the bottom. Looking at the other pictures, I know for sure I want to try more of their treats if I’m in the area.

Fantastic array of desserts and pastries. If you don’t like your desserts to be too sweet then this place is great for it. Everything they make here has that sensible touch of the Japanese. Its all incredibly well made and tasty, but in a restrained way. There’s no flavor bombs here waiting to punch you in the face, everything here is very subtle. However, beware of the prices! a cake here an roll there and a profiterole there and a cheesecake or two and when you pay the bill you’re gonna ask yourself if did you really just drop $ 50 on some pastries?(they aren’t really that expensive most items are about $ 3 – 4 but they all look so good, you just might drop that much money there)

French-Japanese Patisserie! Yuri aime Bonjour boulangerie beaucoup! 百合は、Bonjour ベーカリーを非常に愛する! This has been my favorite dessert shop for many many years! The price is very reasonable on their desserts! I Love, Love, Love their Profiteroles here! Miniature chocolate covered cream puffs w/almond slices stacked on top of each other with honey-like candy glaze and sits on a lil’ bit of cream and tart shell! I feel so spoiled with my cup of coffee, taking my time savoring each mini puff and then to finish off with the cream covered tart shell! OHFREAKIN’ YAYA! Then there’s the simple baked cheesecake. Airy, almost flaky… and never disappoints! Apple Chibouste, you are my top five, along with the fruit tart and apple tart! So far, I can’t say I had a dessert I didn’t like here. FYI, CASHONLY for purchases less than $ 15! So they now accept Visa/MasterCard for said amount and over. Shared parking lot. Never had a problem finding a spot. Bön appétit !
