Very hole in the wall type of feel. I came here because OC & lau (around the corner) was closed. I visited this place with my sister and it was amazing! The server girl is super cute too. Her English wasn’t very well but still the service was great!

One of my favorite vietnamese restaurant. Thuy’s meat quality was pretty good. i came here to celebrate a birthday and had a wonderful experience. The service here is really good. For most of our dinner. I thought that would result in lack of service. The food was good.

Great food at even late hours. The service is on point. Thuy is actually there helping out and serving the guest providing a very comfortable environment. They make sure you are satisfied and well before leaving, providing tea or complimentary soup.

It’s a friendly spot to chill n hangout. It’s my regular spot to come to eat when it comes to food. Food is fresh n dishes are good like the lamp, filet mignon, grill shrimps, especially the seafood hot pot that can serve up to 4 ppl. I don’t know what more I can say for this place. Wong timeless highly recommend it. Come try it out n u will enjoy it… Promised

Great spot to hang out $ 2.50 beer for import, yes you know it, that’s pretty cheap for a drinking spot. Food is excellent, been here many times and quality is consistent since there is only one head chef here that cook 7 days a week. If you are into karaōke this is a treat because there is a live keyboard or you can sing your favorite tune from youtube. Btw guys there are many cute ladies working here so yes, eye candies for ya!

It’s a bar that occasionally serves food, there’s a lot of inside smoking. We ordered our food waited more than half an hour only to be informed that the kitchen closed an hour ago. The majority of customers are men drinking with hostesses wearing shorts shorts.

Took my non Vietnamese friends here because I couldn’t go another day without nhau food and they all loved it. Everything was delicious and the workers are A++ !! Loved everything about this place except it a lounge style Resturant and you know how those are

Third time visiting here! I have been to a lot of these local joints with similar theme and have yet to find one that is as fun. The waitresses here are really pretty and friendly, and the boss lady too of course:)) also the food they have here have not yet to disappoint! The price on beer is $ 2.50 per bottle so. Cheers to that! Best «quán nhu» in town. Definitely recommend for a late night hang out with friends or celebration!

Was here for drinks after work, but ended up ordering the «ngheu hap xa» with seafood and it was delicious. Also had the «kho qua cha bong», very healthy and hit the sport with all the drinks ! The restaurant is very clean, great place for good drinks, to catch a game on the many tvs and food is good! Food +++++. Drinks +++++, service +++++.

Good food, nice service, we got free soup after all. We definitely come back here for next times. Come and check it out guys. You will love this place! Remember to ask the owner for free fruits, She is lovely!

I’ve had my fair share of going to quan nhau (Vietnamese drinking joints) being in oc. However, I’ve retired my nhau lifestyle for quite some time now haha. Some friends were in town and wanted to nhau so it was really nice to try this place out –brought back lots of fun memories.
The restaurant is a good size. The food selection was abundance! Sorry Vince, the food came out really quickly so maybe you can try again? :)
This restaurant had all the requirements of quan nhau
–Good food
–Good beer (no hard liquor)
–Good service– chi Thuy herself was there
–Live entertainment –the gentleman on the keyboard was awesome. He was able to play and harmonize with all the different songs the patrons were selecting.

I’d like to say though, the amenities in the restroom were above and beyond! The was lotion (cause you ashy girl), tampons and pads galore (in different thickness-​attn to detail or what), blowdryer, bobbypins, make up, pumice stone to scrub your feet (que?), and many more. I was so impressed that even took pictures to post here haha.
I’m definitely coming back for more.

I can’t believe this is not mentioned in other reviews but lots of smoking INSIDE the restaurant including one of the cooks. I walked out smelling like cigarettes. Do NOT bring your kids or parents to this place. It’s more of a bar/​karaōke joint with shady characters (men drinking with hostesses wearing short shorts and heels). I came with my wife and noticed she was the only female customer present. I wouldn’t come here unless you really know what it’s about.
Too bad since the food was a bit pricy ($ 80 for the 2 of us) but actually decent.

The food here is seriously awesome. The flavor was spot on, and the place had that wonderful nhau feel. I walked in and knew I would love it.
Full disclosure: I am a tourist, visiting CA on business. I needed to get off of the resort and have some good food, and with Little Saigon so close, I was hankering for some Vietnamese (which I eat a lot at home) and this place got rave reviews so I paid it a visit.
I walked in and, as a single diner, was told to sit wherever. I ordered a drink, then ordered the bò tái chanh. It was SO GOOD. SO DAMN TASTY. I cannot stress the quality of this dish enough. Yum yum yum, everyone should order this because DELICIOUS.
However, I took one star away because I felt a tiny bit patronized. Before the food came, I was asked if I wanted the chili dipping sauce (normal question, nothing wrong there). When I said yes, she kept asking if I was as sure. I said yes a couple of times, and after a few «are you sure“s, I finally said «yes, I would love to try it, please.» When the food came, I was asked twice if I wanted a fork. I had to say that chopsticks were just fine twice, again with an added «are you sure?». I completely understand that I am definitely not the general audience that this place sees (you don’t see a ton of solo white girls in nhau places), but it just felt a little bit like I was being ignored or stared at by the waitresses.
… Back to the positive: the other patrons were so friendly! I had a couple of fellows come up to me, share a drink, and ask me if I liked the food and strike up a conversation with me. We had a lovely conversation that ended with «we’re all human; we love good food and good beer: cheers!»
Very fitting end to my experience at this DELICIOUS (again, I can’t stress that enough) restaurant.

*** Hello??? Where’s the cook? (Garden Grove) ***
My family and I went here to have some drinks and food. This is a Vietnamese style «drinking» establishment that sells food as well. I guess the equivalent would be a bar that sells bar food. We were the first customers of the day and placed in our order. The waitress was really nice and friendly, but the food was slow to arrive. We received our drinks and hung out for a while, then realized that about 1.5 hours had passed and we were still waiting for about 75% of our order. When we asked about the status of our order we were told that they didn’t start preparing it yet because the cook wasn’t present.
Hello??? Where’s the cook? You could have told us that an hour ago when you took the order. We would still stayed for a few drinks, but leaving out the part that the cook was not even at work yet was bad.
Here’s what I liked…
* The shrimp on a stick wasn’t bad.
* The clams were good.
* I don’t drink, so the water was as expected.
Here’s what I didn’t like…
* No cook = No food… It would have been nice to have been informed a little earlier in the game.
Food = what came out was good.
Seating area = ok
Service = very friendly
Restroom = unknown

I don’t write reviews at all but this place just have delicious bomb ass food! The flavors are spot on. The service is great but don’t expect much from the ambiance. I think the lady owner was the one talking to us– Thuy. She made sure we were all happy. I don’t know about you all but I rate a restaurant for the flavor of the food and all of the dishes were just amazing.
We had the grilled clams with cilantro– bomb! Grilled scallops– oh yeah hit the spot!
Bo luc luc which was pretty good!
Nuoc mam friend chicken– finger lickin good! Fried tilapia– yumm-​y!
Combination fried rice– give me more of that!
Not to mention the free soup at the end and free fruit platter. Definitely recommend!

I’ll give them 3.5 stars because they ran out of seafood at 11ish pm.
Friendly service. The food was pretty good. We got the grilled chicken and steak. The dipping sauces complement the dishes.
They gave us complementary soup: Pork bones with pasta, potatoes and carrots. The broth was sweet. I’m guessing quan nhau places tend to give free stuff to increase their tips.
Beer is 1.99 everyday.
You can call ahead for them to make the food so it’ll be ready when you arrive. Come early or the kitchen will close or they might run out of certain food.
They accept card.

At first, I was a little bit sad because Thuy’s Vietnamese Restaurant took over one of my favorite Korean Restaurants but after dining here, I am very impressed at how good the food and customer service here is that now, I’m glad they took over!
First things first, this place is in fact a traditional Vietnamese bar, so yes there will be the aroma of cigarette followed along with live Karaōke singing — which is just what I like! The customer service here was also outstanding. The employees along with the owner, Thuy was very attentive and was constantly checking up on us to make sure we were satisfied. The location provides plenty of parking and the inside of the restaurant is spacious and offers plenty of tables and chairs.
The food here was also amazing. I have to admit that this place is probably in my top two places for Vietnamese «quan nhau» food in Orange County! I would highly recommend ordering the bloody clams & the Bo steak here because that was my favorite thing here, but everything was just as delicious!
This is definitely my friends and I go to spot for Vietnamese drinking spot/​food!

Very spacious inside. The owner, Thuy, is very nice. She always makes sure that my group and I are comfortable. Tables are constantly being cleaned. Bowls and chopsticks are replaced very 45 minutes. They have live entertainment everyday till 12:30am.
Food is always tasty. Yellowtail sashimi, com Chay/​crispy rice, and chicken feets are among my favorites. Thuy always prepares nicely decorated fruit plates with candles for birthday celebration. Will definitely come back

The food is so good! I’m drooling as I’m scrolling through the food pics. It doesn’t help either that I’m hungry while writing this review. My favorite has got to be the house oysters and blood clams. Please try the oysters! The owner is also really nice. She always goes out of her way to ensure our visits here are pleasant. Definitely a plus. Restrooms are so well kempt too.
Come here if you’re in the mood for some good beer food and beer! Sing a song or two if you’re drunk enough, but please only if you can sing. :))

New Vietnamese drinking spot. I’ve been here like 3 – 4 times already. The owner, Thuy, is very very nice and welcoming!
I don’t usually eat here but I always get the osyters! OMG its so good! I’ve been on a diet so I can’t really eat much but I will eat next time on my cheat day and update more on whats good!
I love places that has soju because I don’t drink beer, so I’m glad this has soju, and I think its cheaper than all the other «quan nhau» places too.
