Waited @ least 30 min for our food. We were never checked on or warned it would be an abnormally long wait. Was never offered water for waiting so long. When the food was done, the man apologized saying the other person went home early. He was working alone. I was going to rate this place 1 star, but after going home I changed my mind. I enjoyed my kobe beef phở. The broth was good! Not too salty. Bf enjoyed the grilled chicken & short rib… short rib wasn’t all fat & was a pretty good size. I’d try this place 1 more time… maybe not go late on a week night. The food is worth the second chance.

Even though the place was empty and we were the only customers, We did not receive our food for about 20 minutes. The broken rice was very hard. The server did not check up on us and even saw that we needed more drinks. Wouldn’t try again.

The soups are good and filling. ITs a small restaraunt, café sitting, PHO type atmosphere. «quick» and inexpensive. $ 6.50/$ 7.50 for a bowl of PHO. Many other traditional vietnamese options for a few more dollars ++. They speak limited English and take cash only. Fyi. IF you can deal with that and point to the menu with no changes, youll be fine. If you like to change your order because the menu doesnt suit you and make things complicated, forget about it.

Very good Vietnamese place, their portions are huge and the price for the amount of food you get is really fair. The owner is very nice and she comes out and helps you out herself. Everything we ordered was cooked well and you get A LOT of food. This place was empty when I went, but it’s only because they’re fairly new. All in all though, Broken Rice and Noodle is super underrated and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good broken rice place, especially since they’re often hard to find.

Found this place while in Anaheim because we were craving broken rice plates and saw that this one was fairly new so we decided to give it a shot! The food here is delicious and the portions are very generous for the price you pay. I got a small combo rice plate for $ 7 and it was almost too much for me to finish. The service here is also very good. The owner made sure we were taken care of and even offered suggestions for next time. Overall, I’d highly recommend this place if you’re looking for something inexpensive to fill you up!

I love supporting mom and pops shop so I came here to try their phở. The phở was just okay but they are doing a one week sale oh half off phở! Probably wouldn’t get it again but lucky their was a sale I happened to stumble upon. Came here a week ago and tried their com tam and Lau. I’d say their Lau was good and then com tam was huge but a little on the greasy side

I like this place. I have only had the broken rice here and it is really good and cheap. Free tea or soda! I think the portion is perfect. Best thing is they accept credit card!

Wanted to try because of the average of reviews that trickled in so far. And only because my doc office is down the street. The place isn’t hard to find, they still have their ‘Grand Opening’ banner up. Apple maps is also accurate. Came in here Wednesday before 5pm. NOONE was in here except the waitress/worker. Empty chairs and tables. Clean tables at that. Dark and quiet up in there. So, plus, plus and plus. The menu looked a little different than the one posted in Unilocal review pics. We ended up ordering the combination plate that comes with(5) items — which is(3) main entrees and(2) sides. You get rice or vermicelli noodles and a comp little soup with it. Can’t remember the name of everything, but I do know we had chicken, pork, eggs, short ribs(?) and the husband ordered ox tail soup also. Loved the plating. Husband loved his food. I liked my eggroll and the chicken? Overall though, the meats just had this pungent marinade that didn’t match the needs of my palate. My husband thinks I am just not made for non-westernized food. And I partially agree. Waitress only served our food and shortly went home. No one ever checked on us after. With that being said, the husband loved it. I thought it was okay. Nothing was terribly bad to me. I just ended up getting Del Taco a few blocks down after my husband ate the rest of my food:)

Got the Phở bro. Nice clean taste with fresh galangal and good meat. Got the filet mignon. Went with the Large bowl, there is just small and large bowl. Next time I would go with the small cuz its pretty filling. This spot is near Brookhurst, kind of around the corner from that big steel thing that is getting built. They only take cash, and only speak viet… but menu has english on the backside. They just opened recently, and are in a little mini mall. I went at 3 after the lunch rush so parking was fine.

They have buy 2 premium phở bowls get 1 free !!! That’s the only reason why I go here in my opinion. Their phở was alright. Their broth was normal… darker than other restaurants for some reason. The thing i love about this place is their beef!!! It’s so tender and they gave me a good amount. I always get their filet mignon phở and it always comes out hot and looking so good. My parents always get their oxtail phở. I never tried it but it looks pretty good!!! They also give you a lot of veggies on the side to add into your phở! I wish they have fresh banh phở rather than instant banh phở. Their rice dishes also look really good too. NExt time i go, I would probably try their rice dishes. Customer service, is on point whenever i went! The phở comes out pretty fast ! Within like 5 minutes for 3 bowls of phở. Overall, not a bad place for phở, but i wouldn’t come back if they didn’t have the promotion because it’s sorta pricey. They do give a lot though. I get VERYFULL off their small bowl of phở. Only other critisism i have here is their broth. I’ve had better broth.

OK, who gave them 5 stars review? Their family members and friends? This is a mom and pops place and they just opened, so I understand there will be glitches, and I’m willing to come back one more time to give them another chance. But this was my first experience: I came in and ordered broken rice dish. I have diabetes and my sugar were getting low. That means I could faint, or even die. I WAITEDOVER30MINUTES! They kept telling me that it was coming. I asked if I order Phở, if I can have my food faster, because I am diabetic and I really need the food NOW. They kept saying it was coming. John T. wrote about me in his review, yes that was me. I left them a dollar and took my toddler to eat next door. I finished eating next door, I came back to see if they cooked my food anyway, since I ordered 1 portion to go for my husband. They said I left, so they cancelled my order. That’s lame guys, you lied. I said again to them, that if they had already cooked my food, I will buy it and bring it home for my husband. They told me to wait, and I had to wait for another 10 minutes for them to finish cooking the meal that I ordered an hour ago. Slow wait aside, the taste of the actual food: The rice was dried and hard. The portions are ok, not huge as the other family members – i mean, Unilocal reviewers said. Their steamed egg and meat(cha) was very small in portion. The pork chop was a bit salty. The short ribs’ marinade were amazing, HOWEVER, it was inconsistent. I got both portions home, and my meat tasted different from my husband’s, in other words, their marinade was inconsistent. I am willing to give it another try because I believe in helping small business, and plus, it is so close to my home. But I hope they will read this review and improve a lot more for my next return. This is definitely NOT«HOT and New»

Very quaint place to dine it at. About 12 tables inside. Run down — I ordered the Kobe phở and rice plate totaling 15 and change Phở is 3⁄5 which tasted good enough but not spectacular which I ordered since it was on their special 3.99 small bowl Rice dish 3⁄5 I ordered the special 10 $ but it didn’t come with any 5sides!!! So I decided to ask nicely for the steamed egg even though getting juked out of the other four options. Sadly instead of my steamed egg I had ordered on the side came out a fish cake tofu skin dish . The place is very clean but they need to work on there put out time on food and language barrier. Their demeanor as an establishment was super nice. But they need to pick up their game a bit coming off as a hot and new place. after 7 minutes of my initial order for my rice dish I decided to order the Kobe phở to make or break this place. Phở came out 5 min which came first Rice dish came in at 20 .*There was a mother and her child who came to dine in and sat for about 15 min who had their drinks served but ended up walking out on their order *left a tip for their time* because I over heard her saying her child was hungry and they waited long enough.

I went here on grand opening night and the food was delicious! Cheap and the portions were huge. I got the special rice plate combination(com tam) and my friend got the phở. Phở was the bomb. Will be coming back here soon.
