The food was ok. I had a bacon burger. The bread was cold not what I was expecting. The service was really good though.

That pulled pork sandwich is the truth. Besides Oinkster in eagle rock, I don’t know of any other place in SoCal that puts as much effort into fully smoking their pork. Juicy and sumptuous with burnt ends and smoke flavor, partnered with a balanced sauce. Fries were a little greasy and soft, I think the oil was probably a little too cool. But fast food places get the leg up from me by only needing one rockstar that I can get on the go with consistency, so it gets 4 stars on the pork alone. Staff was friendly and authentic, very independent business atmosphere.

Tried to go here a few times when it was supposed to be open. We could see someone inside but door was always locked and knocking did nothing. One of the times we were there knocking another family were waiting to. We asked if it was any good, all they did was shrug and say yea… Not convincing.

OC Burger was bought by another owner and renamed. There were very little changes to the menu but over time, the menu started changing more! When we first came to the grand opening, we met the owner. who indeed, ran the store all by himself. The owner himself was generous, kindhearted, hard working, and humble. He always had accomadated to our preferrance of ingredients. Close to home, we come very often. He had hired a few employees to help out. They’re always kind and polite. Food served here comes from pizzas, good ol traditonal american hamburgers, hotdogs, and wings. Good for lunch or just a quick bite. There’s also a drive thru for allyou lazy peeps!

I pass by this place constantly and today I thought I would give it a try. I ordered the OC burger combo. I took it to go. The fries were gross, soggy, and blackened as if they were fried in month-old oil. Don’t believe me? I’ve got the pictures to prove it! That was not an accident. The owner had the audacity to serve me blackened fries and try to pass them off as edible. Trust me when I say I will never come back to this place and I will warn everyone I know about this place.

Had a 2 double cheeseburger lunch here today. Well needless to say I did not get a lot of work done afterwords. Good ‘ol fashion burger. Fast service and nice people. Cheaper than Jack in the Box without the risk of consuming kangaroo meat. I used a Unilocal deal, but also saw a Groupon NOW. You won’t regret it.

Great lunch spot. My coworker and I got the $ 6 for $ 10 deal and ordered two bacon avocado cheeseburger combos. I dont eat bread. No problem the guy said we’ll wrap it in lettuce. Usually they look at me like i’m some kind of homosexual or something. Nice seating outside. Inside the Olympics was on a flat screen on the wall. Outside they were playing really good music. The food was great, very good quality meat and charbroiled. I don’t know why anyone would give their money to a chain fast food restaurant when this place exists. Also, this place is cheap. I ate like a king for 10 crispies. Will go back for lunch often.

If it wasn’t for Chad A.‘s OCCD Swap UYE, I probably would have never came here because I just don’t frequent Garden Grove all that much. Give me some of that deep fried zucchini that tastes so good it doesn’t need any sauce! Woohoo! Ever eat a deep fried corn ball? I have. It may sound weird, but it’s yummy. They use real corn kernels and they’re vegan. The beer battered onion rings were good and so were the chili cheese fries. Everything was prepared to order. Gotta love that. Lots of seating inside and out. And the owner is nice and personable, too. The OC Grill is a mom & pop fast food restaurant worthy of representing the Orange County name.

…Flush… Ahhhhhhhhh, I feel 10 lbs lighter. Now, I can type my review for The OC Grill– I made my way here to The OC Grill for Chad’s You Go Grill UYE. I’m a fan of non-chain eateries. I believe everyone should support the local mom ‘n pops, the hole-in-the-walls, the Davids over the the corporate Goliaths. Of course, they can be hit or miss. I can gladly say that The OC Grill is a hit. The sides were great. The beer battered onion rings were large, tasty & took me downtown to onion town. These aren’t the crappy rings you’d find at Burger King. These are the real deal. The fried cheese sticks were delicious due to their cheesy, unctuous goodness. Also, the fried creamed corn poppers were sinfully delightful. Bad for my diet, but oh so delightful. The mad scientist(aka the owner) gave me the honor of being a human guinea pig for their latest creation, the cheeseburger pizza — complete w/tomato slices & dill pickles. They had me at dill pickles. Did I mention I love dill pickles? I found it surprisingly good. Not too much dough, not too much sauce. LIke Goldilocks, juuuuusssstttt rrrriiiggghhhhhttt. I must come back & try their other dishes, such as their BBQ pulled pork sandwich & their pastrami sandwich. The owner is über nice & can accomodate any reasonable requests. He’s willing to experiment with ingredients to see what sticks & what doesn’t. Creativity should always be applauded, as that makes life all that more interesting. I recommend people come by and get their eat on at The OC Grill. Burgers & pizza & pulled pork sandwiches, O my! NOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM

Foodies will love this place!!! This is one of those places you can impress your friends with: «I know this rockin’ place for eats!» The burgers(Angus ground chuck) are much better than In-N-Out. The fries are potato-y goodness. The pizzas(fresh hand tossed) are better than any pizzeria. Why spend money on McDonald’s, Burger King, or even In-N-Out when you can enjoy Orange County’s best little secret? Let’s not keep it a secret. Tell your friends!

Been driving by this place for a long time. Finally decided to see what was inside the big orange triangle. They have BBQ Tri-Tip and Pulled Pork Sandwiches($ 6 each) that aren’t on their menu. Ordered the pulled pork sandwich and onion rings to go. Pulled pork sandwich was great. Not buried in sauce, and very tender and flavorful. Really glad I tried it. Onion rings were some of the best I’ve ever had. They were tasty by themselves and even better dipped in their ranch sauce. The food was definitely 5 stars, but the tables & floor were dirty, so they lose a star for that. No one else was in the place, would only take a few minutes to wipe down the tables. Makes you wonder how clean the kitchen is.

OC Grill, have you always been here? This may sound strange, but I have been craving BBQ sauce lately. A pulled pork sandwich has a good amount of BBQ sauce, right? So, that was how I ended up here. I came here and got a pulled pork sandwich and some fries. The sandwich was really good. The pork was tender and very flavorful. It was not too wet nor too dry. It was really good, but halfway through, I felt it was missing something. I don’t know if pickles are normally in pulled pork sandwiches, but I think pickles would have really given my sandwich another dimension. The fries were okay. They were very thin and I prefer thicker fries so I probably won’t get them again. I did like the fact that the potato skin was left on. This place was very tiny. Small, but bright orange so you can’t miss it. It has a drive-thru, but the food took awhile to come out. The menu was very extensive. They even have pizzas! I have never gotten a pizza at a drive-thru before, but that sounds interesting. I don’t know how long that will take though. So, the good food and convenient drive-thru mean I will definitely be back. Next time, I think I will request some pickles!

I’ve driven by this place many times. It’s bright orange, has a steeple roof and sticks out like a sore thumb on Magnolia ave with the sign«OC Burgers». I figured I got try a place that’s so bold in it’s appearance. I went though the drive thru and ordered a double bacon cheeseburger and a lemonade. They were out of lemonade and it was only 11:30am. WTF? Bad sign. Anyway, I swap for a sprite and take my first bite out of the burger. Ya know what? Not bad… pretty decent actually. Juicy, nice balance of cheese, condiments and bacon. It’s not in the league of an In ‘n Out, TK Burger or 5 Guys, but it is a respectable burger. I didn’t order any fries, so I can’t comment. They also have pizza too. I might try the pizza next time. Who knows, it my be pretty good. Alright, OC Grill is not a place I’m going to go out of my way for a burger, but next time I’m driving by it in the mood for a burger, I might try it again.

How am I going from 4 stars to 1… here ya go: First of all, get the damn drive thru system fixed! -=EVERY=- time, I pull up… «can I help you»… I place my order… then I hear«Hang on» and they come out to my truck with a pad and paper to take my order… and every time they act surprised like they don’t know why they couldn’t hear me… Seriously, either fix it, or just go greet cars right off the bat, don’t make your customers give you their order twice… it is very annoying! Does that in itself warrant 3 star demotion… nope… but the rest of the story does… I have been here a hand full of times over the past few months, and I order the same thing… and I order it the same way… the first few times, great! then, it started slowly going downhill… At first, the pastrami on the pastrami burger was grilled and plentiful… this made the meat crispy around the edges and brought out some of the flavor… now it is just put on. Ok, fine. But the amount of pastrami has diminished as well… and this last time, there was barely any pastrami and the damn thing was SOAKED in mustard!!! Not just a little too much, WAY too much… and not just on the pastrami, it was on both buns and there was so much it oozed out. All I tasted was mustard… and to add insult to injury, my onion ring order was about half as much as it usually is… There is NO consistency in the preparation of their food… and for the price, quality portions have gone way down hill. Now, I really want to support this place… but I am out… this was my last visit. There are too many other burger places in the area that are consistent in their food prep and portions… I like to know what I get when I revisit a place.

OC Grill, this is located in the area where I was born, the taco bell I used to go to pretty much everyday as a child right next door. At the time I believe this was an Albertos or Allertos. One of the two, then it became some chicken house… I Think… Will agree with Chad this is a pretty amazing Mom and Pop burger joint! Again if you all didn’t know I love to new places with at least 3 or more people so I can at least try everything a place has to offer ya know? When we first got there we were the only ones there, I noticed that there was only two of them working, and both seemed really nice. I came with my friends Jacob and Rob, I know rob ordered I believe just a regular burger. I ended up going with the OC Supreme Burger, which was a regular burger but it also had some kind of ham, with carmalized onions. Their french fries were made to my liking! Crunchy outside, soft and potato-eeee in the middle, excellent! When I first took a bite into my burger, right away you mouth is attacked by a wave of flavors as you are faced with the seasoning and taste from the burger patty, also the slice of ham blended in with the onions it was pretty good! Its not something to be like holy crap out of this world burger, but its a pretty damn good burger. It was one of those burgers where you can find yourself craving for it in a couple days, or shoot maybe the second day?! My burger wasn’t at all dry, it was on point, and very satisfying to eat. Jacob ended up going with the Pastrami burger, it pretty much looked like mine, except you can totally see the pastrami all up in the burger. I remember watching Jacob take his first bite, and even before words were spoken I knew this was a really good burger. The first words coming out of Jacobs mouth…“awwww yea… perfect…just perfect” all while his head was shaking left to right. We exchanged burgers for our tasting, and when I bit into the Pastrami burger… oh lord it was jam packed with goodness! Just how well the pastrami complimented the burger patty so well, absolutely no dry-ness in the burger as it had enough fat from the pastrami as wel as the burger patty. Amazing is all I gotta say! Ssp’s Final Thoughts: Overall, I am 100% sure I will be coming here more often, just because it is really good for cheap as well. I am very curious on how their other burgers and/or dishes taste as well.

Checked out OC Grill tonight for dinner. It was empty when we got there and stayed empty until we left, except for a man came in for a burger to go. I got the Pastrami Cheese Burger combo with Zucchini fries and a diet coke. The food was good. Not terrible, but not something I MUST come back for. The bread was really soft — this is good. But the bread was very thick — this is not good. There was more bread than there was meat. And I had two kinds of meat — a beef patty and pastrami! I also should have got the thousand island spread on the side because it made my burger really wet. And I don’t like wet burger. It made the thick soft bread mushy. Half way through my meal I had to peel off one side of bread. The zucchini fries were good. But in my opinion, it was kind of pricey considering the amount of zucchini that was given. It was about 6 – 8 tiny pieces for $ 2.89. The ranch like Chad A. was saying is runny. Tasty but runny. It’s like dipping into soup almost. My gf got the Cheeseburger combo with Onion rings. She said her meat was dry and she didn’t care too much for the onion rings. Said the batter was too heavy for her liking. I agree. I’m not a big onion ring eater, but the best onion rings I’ve had were from The Habit. It’s a burger joint too. The staff was friendly. This place has only been open for 5 months. Something I found amusing were their Unilocal signs on the window. I don’t think it’s legit. I think they made their own and taped it up. Smart if you think about it, but ethical? hehe. I’m sure real Unilocalers will know the difference.

Good price good food, Can’t say anymore then that. I LOVE mom and pop shops, my friend came into work just yesterday with a beefy burger. He says«Bro… Take a bite its heaven for an affordable price» under 5 $ for a meal, fills you up just right.
