This place is the perfect restaurant for AYCE sushi. My sister and I were craving some sushi and we were just about to go to our regular sushi place, but we decided to try this place based on a friends recommendation and Unilocal reviews. When we first entered, we got seated right away by our server Kathy. The place was pretty empty besides a couple of parties. We were seated at our table and Kathy started our drinks for us while we looked over the menu. Surprisingly, there was a large variety of sushi and appetizers to choose from. Overall, the sushi was well prepared and tasted very delicious and the appetizers were equally as satisfying. My favorite sushi roll was the Lobster Killer and my sister’s favorite was the California Hand Roll. We also both enjoyed the Gyoza and the Green Muscle appetizers. As for the server Kathy, she was very attentive and knew the perfect times to check up on us. The place itself was pretty small, but it was well decorated and felt very comfortable. Overall, the whole experience was perfect and you will be seeing here again.

This is our favorite lil ayce sushi place in OC. I’ve tried Joe’s(crap) and sake2me that ppl keeps telling me to try and that’s even crappier. This place is sooo bomb! Their rice is perfectly cooked for my taste & seasoning is spot on. Not too bland or too salty. My favorite item is the big eye. There’s no rice in that roll for some of u who don’t wanna fill up on the rice. Sooo yummy in my tummy. I love it. I love it. I love it The only bad thing I could think of is that the bathroom is OUTSIDE of the restaurant in the back. Kinda creepy especially during dinner time. No can can hear your screams

The sushi here gave me diarrhea and stomach pains the whole night. The staff was friendly, and some of the rolls were tasty though. I would not recommend because I don’t want anyone else to experience what I’ve experienced. Also, DONOT try the citrus roll. It tastes nasty.

Food was excellent no complaints I would come but beware they are open from 11 – 3 and reopen from 5 – 10 or so… I usually go to sake 2 me but this my new favorite place. The waitress was friendly and the chef was cool too!

When I arrived at the location, I was very skeptical because it didn’t look like a very prestigious building, but I was wrong. I came for all you can eat sushi, and the servers did their job and came around quite often. They gave us water before we got the chance to ask for some. The food came out at a moderate rate. The sushi was delicious and satisfying. I had a very pleasant experience and definitely would come again.

Better than your average AYCE sushi. And with the ridiculous amount of bad places out there, that’s enough for a good review in my book

Walked in and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. They explain how they serve, whether the all you can eat or ala carte. We chose all you can eat because we wanted to try a few different rolls on the menu. The price was very reasonable and the sushi is pretty good. The server brought our drinks immediately and took the order and our first roll was on the table pretty quickly. The server had a fantastic attitude and was very helpful in informing us on the different flavors and styles or sushi. They had television and music for everyone to enjoy. The sushi chefs created delicious rolls and some, kind of unique. This place is a definite recommend to anyone craving delicious sushi. Kudos to the service and the food.

Yes, a good AYCE sushi place that is close to me! I went here the other day for lunch with a friend. After looking over the menu, we decided to get the AYCE. I only got the nigiri since I don’t often eat rolls anymore. I loved the cajun salmon and the mackerel. Definitely get those. The fish-to-rice ratio was also awesome. Thick slice of fish on a tiny ball of rice? Yes! The salmon skin salad was also really good. Service was good. Restaurant was on the small side and it can get really loud inside. I think I found my new AYCE sushi place! Big recommendation!

My weekly destination!!! Usually come here with my sister for lunch. Love their nigiri especially salmango, cajun salmon, and eel. Love their soy sauce comes with almost everything. Such a nice place for a comfortable and quite lunch time. 4 stars because I’m obsessed with a super clean place, and theirs cannot satisfy me.

Soyo AYCE sushi is good but not awesome. Anything AYCE is good to me cuz I am a foodie but… Soyo has some good rolls and nigiri(they also don’t flood the nigiri with a ton of rice), and the fish is decent. The AYCE selection is worth the lunch prices but I probably won’t pay $ 25 for dinner. I’ve had better AYCE sushi more north towards the LA Valley. Salmon and yellowtail nigiri good. Some of the rice for my specialty sushi rolls was a bit too baked. It was ok…

I honestly love the environment and the smallness of this restaurant. It shapes and looks a lot like an island hut. That’s my type of place to eat at! The decorations around the restaurant are very nice and creative. The service is good, everything was served quick. When I read the menu, I like how they show big pictures with not many sushi options. I do recommend the restaurant to take better pictures of the food so they can look more attractive to the customers. The«Energy roll» is my favorite. I almost missed picking that kind because the picture looks ugly until I saw the recipe below it. Well, the other rolls are great! Most of them are deep fried(my favorite) and have many ingredients. There are also some 2, 4, and 5-piece sushi too. Very good food, I am satisfied! I did come there for lunch and paid $ 19.95.

I came here last night with a party of 8 for a birthday dinner. The place was nearly empty which was great for us because we were seated almost immediately. What we ordered: WAYTOOMUCHFOODTOREMEMBER. But for the one’s I enjoyed are the… ROLLS: Vegas Roll, Bianca Roll, Lobster Killer SUSHI: Salmon, Seared Salmon, Seared Tuna, Spicy Scallop, Fresh Water Eel Lightly Salted Edamame The food here is pretty good. My absolute favorite of everything I tried is the seared tuna and seared salmon. Although not fully cooked nor fully raw, it was perfect in flavor and consistency. Venue: This place is small but surprisingly not packed on weeknights. I’m not sure how they are like during the weekends, but I’d suggest coming during weeknights. The place is decorated nicely with dim lighting and upside down umbrellas. Service: I love the waitress that served us. She was very attentive and kind. She did everything with a smile and even joked around with us a bit. Love her. Price: Dinner price is $ 24.95 Parking: Parking lot is fairly(fits around 10 cars) small however there is a lot next to the restaurant in the case around back is packed.

I always thought most all you can eat places their food quality can sometimes not be as high if you want food at cheaper prices. I prefer to go to less all you can eat when I rather pay more for better food than be disappointed. Besides if you really want to be on a diet you shouldn’t be eating so much. I like quality delicious tasting food. This all you can eat sushi for $ 24.95 dinner was worth the quality even the food taste. I can’t remember all the items we ordered so maybe just show them the pictures on Unilocal and they can tell you what the item is. I do suggest dinning here with more than 2 people unless you have huge appetites. Be sure to order a few items each round when the regular sushi with the rice will fill you up fast. This will allow time for you to digest then look on the menu to decide on the next round what to order. Parking is a little tight here so it may be difficult for those who have trouble parking. Maybe just park across the street and walk across may be a better idea if you feel uncomfortable in such a small parking lot with tight parking spaces. A friend can always help direct you to park too.

Good for ayce, the fish was fresh for the most part, and the rolls were tasty. Appetizers were yummy as well. However, do not get the oysters! Soooo stinky and fishy, I could tell they weren’t fresh the moment they set it down because the smell was so overpowering. Recommend: garlic albacore, unagi, yellowtail, salmon, crunchy roll, dragon roll, spicy edamame, tempura, and calamari. Overall everything came out quickly and the service was good.

Atmosphere: Casual. Very small house type sushi restaurant, table seating and limited sushi bar seating. Ordered Items: Spicy Tuna, spicy albacore, and yellowtail hand roll on soy paper(extra charge for soy paper), Lobster Killer, jalapeño, Las Vegas roll, yellow tail, albacore, seared tuna and ahi tuna sashimi, samurai burrito, and spider roll. Favorite item: Samurai Burrito SoyoKraze is a good AYCE spot in Garden Grove. I was a fan, they have tons of choice on the AYCE, which isn’t the case for most places. Every roll we had was great. The jalapeño roll was actually spicy so if you’re a spice lover ORDER now, a super spicy jalapeño stuffed with cream cheese, crab and tuna deep fried. The sashimi was good, I wasn’t a fan of the yellowtail, it was a bit fishy(noooo good) ate it anyway(I was that hungry). The only thing that grinds my gears is the service, we didn’t receive service at all. I felt like I was begging the girl there for anything, she didn’t like me.

My first time at SoyoKaze. We were warmly greeted & sat at one of the tables near the sushi bar. The three of us ordered the AYCE lunch menu. Our 3 Rounds of AYCE Sushi included: (1) Miso Soup — Hot & delish! (2) Gyozas — Deep Fried Pork Dumplings — Yummy! (3) Baked Mussels — Scrumptious (4) Baked Lobster Roll A delight with all of the baked lobster on top of a CA roll. (5) Shrimpion Roll Tempura shrimp with a special sauce topped over a spicy tuna roll. A winner! (6) Sushi: Tuna, Yellow Tail, Albacore, Scallops Sushi. We started to try the sushi and noticed that it was room temperature. I immediately told our server who apologized and removed our sushi from the table and said she would speak with the chef. A few minutes later, our server said that she would bring us another order of our sushi and apologized again. She brought our sushi which was cold and tasted as fresh as the ocean … 5 Stars! (7) Crab Roll Crab on top of a CA roll … yummy! (8) Rainbow Roll Fresh and absolutely mouth watering! (9) Fried Lobster Roll Deep fried pieces of lobster on top of a CA roll. Sooooo good! SoyoKaze earns 5 stars for their excellent service and food. I’ll be back!

Overall: The rolls are decent and a tad cheaper than other places, but I don’t recommend the sushi. The sushi rice is subpar and the paper thin fish isn’t the freshest. Food: 3 Spider Roll has soft shell crab, avocado, imitation crab meat, gobo, and cucumber with a drizzle of eel sauce. It’s a standard roll with 5 pieces. I like that they cut it a little less thickly than other places because it makes it easier for me to eat. Tiger Roll has avocado and shrimp on the outside and shrimp tempura, imitation crab meat, and avocado on the inside. Again, it’s a very standard roll. The 8 pieces are a good size so you can actually pop in the whole thing. Scallop Sushi is 3 pieces of scallop coated in a mayo-like sauce. I was hoping for plain scallop on a bed of sushi rice, but they do a good job with keeping it from becoming all together too much. Yellowtail Sushi: 3 pieces seems like a steal until you realize that they’re fish is cut paper thing. Their only redeeming factor is that they use a very minuscule amount of rice. Although, they might do that because their rice is way too dry… it’s not good sushi rice. Soyokaze Udon: The noodles are overcooked to softness and the soup was too sweet. There were a lot of veggies but 2 measly pieces of fish cake. Service: 4 The waitress is attentive and nice, but she wasn’t always thorough. For example, we asked for an extra bowl to split the udon, and she brought it out without bringing an extra spoon. The sushi chefs weren’t particularly talkative, but they were really nice… they gave us their special on the house! ^.^ They were attentive; they always asked if we wanted anything else when we finished a plate. Ambiance: 3.5 It’s a small store with lots of natural lighting and it’s decently clean. There aren’t too many customers so it isn’t very loud. Bathrooms are outside. Parking is decent because they have their own lot.

If you’re an AYCE sushi fan, you needed to try this place like yesterday. Soyokaze blows every other one of its kind out of the water. It’s even better than some low tier sushi places I’ve been to. I drooled over their Unilocal page for the longest time before eating here with my siblings. The boys can eat a lot and are also sushi fans so needless to say, they were very satisfied. Then you have me and my sisters… AYCE fans with small stomachs but a penchant for getting our money’s worth! So if the quality and service aren’t there, neither are we. And thank god, it is. Soyokaze is currently my phone’s wallpaper. The food LOOKS great coming out, the fish looks appetizing. No grey hues here! And it not just looks, but it tastes great. Fish isn’t soggy or fishy, it’s firm and above par for AYCE sushi joints. I think that surprise made me turn a 180, since my expectations were quite low. They have a great selection of rolls and sushi. And obviously, yo girl can never make an AYCE sushi stop without ordering 5 orders of baked mussels. On top of awesome food, service is good! And even better, their Happy hour was all day, 6 $ for the first beer, 99c for the second! The wait was not bad either, but that may be due to relative anonymity in the ayce world still. Highly recommend the shrimpion roll. Just damn. The yellowtail and salmon were also good! Honestly did not have anything I didn’t like. The rolls are various sizes so you can try different types! Joanna dreams of sushi. Still.
