So many times, procrastination(my own, of course) has put me in a bind. Potlucks, for example, ones wherein whipping up something homemade was originally intended, are usually my downfalls. Don’t get me wrong, I cook. It’s just that I’m not thinking ahead as I should, and… Ok, I procrastinate. That’s when Lien Hue comes into play: For a 100-count order of their flavorfully crunchy, can’t-eat-just-one(or five) egg rolls, it’s only $ 55. And that’s a great deal! Because as soon as you bring that tray of deliciousness to the party and set it down amidst the smörgåsbord of other tasty offerings, those egg rolls will begin to disappear. They won’t last long, guaranteed. And you’ll feel pretty good about how little time you spent preparing for this potluck, and how little money you spent to bring so many smiles to the table. And you’ll then see that sometimes even procrastination(oddly enough) has a pretty sweet silver lining as well. You’re welcome.

Is the fish sauce really expensive that they did not give me enough for my order? Banh La: 2÷5… I think they mixed meat together with the shrimp. Banh beo: 3÷5… too thick. Vy da and Huong Giang are better. Banh canh: 5⁄5 BBH: 4⁄5 Cha gio hoa tien: 3⁄5 The man was quite rude when taking order over the phone.

Lien Hue on Euclid, I think this place satisfied my appetites on Bun Bo Hue, I have no complaints on there Bun Bo, good portion, lots of meat and vegetables plate on the side. Try their Cha Gio Hoa Tien, only .90 cents, should cater that instead of Egg Rolls. I think everyone will like that over Egg Rolls at your next parties.

Food is edible. Not really the best Hue traditional food. Don’t order there for important events. Ordered food for a Saturday. They took the name, order and date down. Check with them couple of days before. When I came, they said they«ran out.» They told the guy before me the same and told him to go across town to LH #2 to pick up his order. No apologies. Stone faced unprofessional uneducated practice. Will NOLONG be going there. Unfortunately, they don’t realize that there are MANY respectable professional places that sells Hue traditional food nearby. Only a fool would continue to be treated like that.

The best egg rolls in town, just like how mama made them! They may run out by the time you get there, but if you’re willing to buy a dozen of them, they’ll cook them up for you within 30 minutes. I also like the bun bo hue here. Be sure to come here with someone who speaks Vietnamese though!

Bön bo hue soup is too sweet but lots of fresh vegi. Not too much taste to it as far as soup goes.

Fuck this place! Fuck the guy short skinny Asian guy that’s always working in the front. Asked him to help me carry the 100 egg roll trays out and he goes«I can’t, just carry it out, I’m very busy.» Ok no one was even inside and you weren’t doing shit. Fucking annoying ass bitch. Lazy ass couldn’t even cover the egg roll tray up completely. As for other places when you order a large amount they bring everything out without you even asking.

I ordered small Mi xao and egg rolls for my last day at my inter site. The teachers there loved them. They even asked me for the address. One teacher said she will drive all the way from Carson to Garden Grove because the food were so god. I am happy that they liked them. BTW, they are Mexican and Black :)

Mi Quang and bun bo hue to go, large portions and very reasonable. To go service was fast. For the bun bo hue I trim the meat of visible fat and tossed the congealed blood(my aging parents don’t need to eat that, seriously) which is what I recommend if you are feeding friends that are squeamish about organs and weird meats. I liked the mi Quang better than the bun no hue, but had I not eaten them both the same day I would have found them equally tasty. They give a decent amount of veggies and fixings for the soup portions but honestly I could have had more. I like my Vietnamese soup to be like a brothy salad with some noodles and meat! Overall yummy soups to bring home and reheat. A large bowl is good for two meals if you are not a big eater.

Tiny place with no AC made for a really stuffy dining experience. Especially when you’re stuffing your face hole with hot soup. Both the bun bo hue and the mi quang were good, not great… but portion sizes were huge! Service also lags. Come ahhhhnnnn.

Located between Tra Teahouse and Boiling Crab. Parking spots are super small around here and it seems to always be crowded! There’s a parking spot specifically for Lien Hue if you’re lucky! Walking in, they do have a couple small tables if you want to eat in there, but my parents just send me here to pick up party trays for them. We’ve ordered egg rolls, grilled pork, and«rocket shrimp» aka«tom hoa tien»(70 Pieces for $ 63). I don’t remember how much the egg rolls and grilled pork were. My extended family seems to like the food here and since my parents keep coming back to order food here then it’s good in my book! The rocket shrimp is definitely my favorite here. It’s is shrimp wrapped inside of the egg roll stuffings, breaded, and then deep fried! Service has always been quick. Food is ready to be picked up already when I get here and the ladies have always been nice.

Came here twice to buy some food to go. The cashier’s attitude was worst both. It’s like she would behave good only for white people. Vietnamese or Asian-taking order like yelling at us(WTH!). The second time I tried«Banh Canh» and found this onion with black Roofs. I should have known with that kind of attitudes, there would be no cleanliness here.

I was a little reluctant to eat at a restaurant that specialized in food catering, but I am glad that I did. The restaurant is tiny with about 7 tables and only accepts cash. My family has catered food from here before, and everything I had was delicious. My favorite dish here is the tom hoa tien, which is a big egg roll with a shrimp in the middle. These are $ 0.90/each and you have to order a minimum of 10. The banh bot loc la is a clear dumpling with pork and shrimp inside wrapped inside a banana leaf. This is also really good, and I think it is a little under $ 0.50/each. I also enjoyed the banh beo. When I ate at the restaurant, we ordered the bun bo hue and the mi quang. The bun bo hue was a little sweet for my taste, but my sister and aunt really liked it. My favorite, by far, was the mi quang. They are generous with the meat, and the noodles and broth are so delicious(I just wish it came with more broth, but traditional mi quang is served with very little broth). This dish has turmeric noodles and has pork and shrimp. There are also peanuts in there, which I could have done without. The mi quang was $ 6 for a small bowl, and $ 7 for a large bowl. The small bowl was the perfect size for me. The waitress was very nice. This is by no means a fancy restaurant but is perfect for a quick and delicious lunch or dinner.

In my opinion it’s probably the only acceptable Chinese-style BBQ in the area. Service was great and the meat was delicious. Recommended!

Wow, this little hole in the wall is the best kept secret in town. Tried the banh beo and the bun bo hue, excellent!!! I deducted 1 star because it’s on a cash only basis. I would have ordered more things to go but I was running out of cash. Highly recommended for the great tasting food they serve.

Sadly I have to give this place one star. I just tried this place out for the first time today. Although the broth for their bun bo hue was delicious, halfway through my bowl I discovered a big dead fly in my soup. I have dealt with hairs and such things just fine, I understand these kind of things just happen, but the sight if this left me disgusted and I spat out any food that was in my mouth. I’m not one to complain but my friend brought it up to the lady who was working and she apologized and didn’t charge us for the bowl. Aside from this, the meat pieces seemed over cooked and much too chewy. I had to ask for a pair of scissors to cut up the big pieces of meat. I might have really enjoyed their bun bo hue, but finding a bug in my bowl was enough to deter me from ever returning here.

Egg rolls were wrapped in a super thin paper, with pork and carrot filling to the edges.

Bun Bo Hue here is so good!!! One of the best in OC. I also really like their Bun Thit Nuong. The Thit Nuong is very flavorful and juicy. Get the big portion. It is only $ 1 more and it huge!!! Why not? The Nem Nuong Cuon is good but I’m not too crazy about the sauce. Mi Quang and Banh Canh are alright, nothing special. I would buy this togo instead of eating in because I saw how the lady clean the table… yuck!!!

As you can see, I love this place for I am the duchess at the moment. It’s a tiny hole in the wall, ideally for catered takeout food. They also have a few tables if you decide to dine in. I usually order the bun bo hue, banh canh or mi quang here and I must say, «All of these dishes are delicious and packed with flavor.» The catered takeout tray items are decent and perfect for any party. Make sure you call and order in advance. You can also bring your own large pot if you decide to cater bun bo hue. Score! I’m a fan!
