Horrible service. I asked the lady what size soup they had. She looked around, lifted up a small cup and said that this was the only size. I figured it shouldn’t cost too much… Almost $ 8 for a small cup of chicken noodle. Barely any noodles. Mostly broth and it wasn’t even good. Never again. Go to Hale and Hearty instead.

At Roosevelt Field Mall waiting for another store to open its gates. Noticed extreme line for this place. My curiosity got the best of me. So I strolled over. I was completely confused by their services and realized they don’t have cashier. Only serve you when the bell is rang. Although I was there just for the coffee n bagel @9:30 am. Didn’t expect to pay nearly $ 8.00 for it. Nor did I expect them to Jack up my bagel. As for toasted bagel with cream cheese., Instead I got a buttered., and it wasn’t toasted.

if we are talking about the one at roosevelt field it is open — i had the best time of my life — 1st on line to meet larry thomas from seinfeld — I have never seen so many cameras in my life — now the food — i had two cups of the lobster bisque — big pieces of lobster — some have given the food 3 stars — that is not fair — first we are at a food court in mall — you are not spending 25.00 on a sandwich — based on the theme and the soup — i give it 5 stars — i am lucky enough to have larrys new book what you can find on soup — one of the mall management offered me 500.00 — then a thousand for my copy– sorry no book for sale. larry was kind and gracious and there is a wonderful review on — people always post the bad — for the money — you are getting a nice meal and you will be wanting for more . christian john nielsen ridge ny

I had lunch for the 1st time today @ The Soup Man in the food court of Roosevelt Field Mall. A half turkey BLT, a small cup of New England Clam Chowder, a bottled water with the«fixins» which was a ¼ cup of fresh fruit and one piece of chocolate candy and a piece of a hero roll for $ 14.07. The competition in Garden City is a SOUP Restaurant offering similar homemade soup, a wrap combo, a piece of fruit for less than $ 8. That’s the last time I stop at The Soup Man for a light lunch.

Drove 40 minutes to get here, called them and asked them what their soups for the day were and was disappointed to find out they didnt have clam chowder, but they had lobster bisque and I was craving this place after watching Seinfeld. So when I finally get there the service was sooooo slowwwww there were 2 women in front of me and it took almost 10 minutes to serve them and there were 3 people working. Finally it’s my turn and I order the lobster bisque, and the person who was working the counter said there was no more lobster bisque. IT’S ONLY2pm seriously how do you run out of a soup by 2pm. she didnt even apologize, and then I asked what other soups they had that day and she started looking around at the soups trying to figure out what they were, she didnt even know the soups they had. I got pissed and left to go eat at café spice which sucked btw.

Summary: NONO, you don’t get no soup. Is this that Jerry Seinfeld show? Well I did get soup here. That’s all they serve here. I wish they listed the six top allergies here because I ordered the soup I believed had no dairy. Ranch 1 that operated the soup man couldn’t help me. They told me that Al man made the soup and they don’t know what’s in it. I had the jambalaya seafood and it tasted so good! It had bits of lobster, shrimp and other seafood. Too bad this soup made me use the bathroom painfully plentiful for the next 3 days. It came with bread and a few pieces of fruits. Rating: 3⁄10

Amazing soup, awful service. As the previous reviewer wrote, this place is attached to the Ranch 1 in the food court at Roosevelt Field mall. As a result, they don’t actually have anyone working the register unless a customer comes by. Not surprisingly, the employee who waited on me didn’t really know much about what was available(sandwiches, types of soups, etc.) Also, there were conflicting signs(a printed one and a hand written one) regarding«today’s soups». I went with the crab bisque and half tuna sandwich. The crab bisque was incredible. I probably should’ve just gotten a large and skipped the sandwich. The tuna was decent, but took way too long to make due to the incompetent service. Would it be that hard to have a dedicated employee for this location? Again, the soup was great, so if you want to at least check it out, i’d recommend it. Just be ready for poor service, which is obviously frustrating.

Here’s the quick and dirty. Good soup, terrible phone service. Perhaps it’s simply to emulate the infamous Soup Nazi but every time I call to see what soups they have for the day I get hung up on or have to wait a ridiculous amount of time to find out. if you happened to be one of the few people who purchased the groupon for this location I highly recommend the New England Clam Chowder. Totally worth the $ 11 a bowl. It’s attached to the Ranch 1 in the food court at the Roosevelt Field Mall.
