Rarely does eating a meal make me angry. But Sole Mex wins that prize. I’m angry because it was a waste of my money, and I was left still feeling hungry. I ordered a burrito. It came with a side of chips. The woman at the counter asked me if I wanted hot or mild sauce. I asked for both so I could try both. The burrito is a joke. The chicken was dry and flavorless. The burrito was overstuffed with lettuce and lots of chunks of iceberg lettuce. The pico de gallo tasted like only onions. And I have no idea what the two sauces she gave me were. The«hot» sauce tasted like chili flakes in water and the«mild» a green liquid tasted like nothing. When I asked the lady what it was, all she said was green tomatoes. The service was fine, they were kind. But the food needs a total overhaul. You’re better off spending your money at Taco Bell.

Walking around the food court my girlfriend and I tried all the samples that were offered so we could choose whatever we really wanted to eat. This particular stand offered in my option the best sample around the whole court. I love my Mexican food and the particular quesadilla they offered as the sample tasted so fresh I had to eat here. Of course I went against the sample they offered and ordered a steak burrito with a chicken taco. I ate the taco fist and initially I thought the meat was dry. Veggies and filling were what I was expecting but the rest didn’t offer what I wanted. Turning to the main attraction, my burrito, I still had high hopes as I always do paying a little extra for steak. My first bite, which contained no steak, was marvelous. It was fresh, filled with guacamole and simply bliss. However as I continued to devour my burrito the steak was dry and mostly burnt while as I went further into the burrito the guacamole dissipated. As a side they severed chips but provided no salsa. They gave a small cup of hot sauce which was typical but coupling that with salsa would have been nice. I can see chips if the food would be messy so I had something to scoop the fillings up after but they warped the burrito well and the meat was so dry it didn’t matter. Over all the friendly staff wasn’t enough to bring me back and I wish I had just gone elsewhere.

I know it’s from the food court but this place is awful! I could have gotten way better nachos from Taco Bell and for cheaper. The nachos are almost $ 7 and all it consists of is soggy tortilla chips, a small dollop of sour cream, gucamole, pick de gallo, and like 20 black beans. Oh and 2 slices of white cheese that’s hardly melted. Gross

A five year old can make better food than this… I am writing this as I have their flavorless food in front of me. Horrible food, no flavor at all!!! This place is an insult to Mexican cuisine. Zero star really!

Worst Mexican meal I’ve ever had. Taco Bell a couple stands down would taste better. The meat is old and hard to chew, guacamole and salsa are both extremely watery, as are the mild/hot sauces. Don’t spend your money here. Maybe the veggie meals are better — I haven’t tried them — but the meat ones are no good.

i tried the veggie burrito with sundried tomato tortilla and it was gooood! i could do without the nachos though. And the buy 1 get one free smoothies is a good deal but its 5.99 for one? Not a fan of the price but the piña colada was good.

i ordered the steak burrito. It was fresh meat and veggies but it lacked flavor. I had to order it without sour cream and cheese because i cant digest it. I think these items were their flavor enhancers because i felt like i was munching on a flavorless burrito. Around my area the meat is marinated with flavor and i dont need dairy to make it taste good. This burrito cost me 7.59:(. thats weird. why does jaime l. only review sole mex?

If you’re looking for an alternative to gross processed fast food, Sole Mex is the way to go. They have an awesome taco salad with very tasty fresh grilled chicken. Salad includes all the fixins you would expect on a taco salad. It is a great addition to the Roosevelt Field food court. In this day and age of the high fat oversaturated(no pun intended) fast food market it’s great to know that while you’re shopping you can find a delectable afforable dining option in a mall setting.
