McDonald’s

It has a nice view to the gulf coast while you eat McD food with restrooms (small) and wifi so I can’t complain. Good breakfast and the staff was friendly.

While it was a quiet time 40 minutes from closing prior to a holiday, it took nearly 15 minutes to get our food, the and the Big Mac was lukewarm to almost cool. If a restaurant is open and charging full price, you should expect your order to be, within reason, delivered with same consistency you’d get at any other time. They didn’t do that.
***UPDATE*** We went back a couple of weeks later and the service was just as slow, the staff showed little interest in taking our order much less any other service, and the food was cold. This location does anything but help the brand.
***UPDATE 2*** After trying them for a third time, shockingly with the same terrible results, I went so far as to reach out to the franchise owner. He was sincerely concerned and appreciative of my comments and seems committed to rectifying whatever is wrong at the beach location. I find his response very reassuring and expect better results in the future — but time will tell.

After a long drive to finally get to Galveston, the kids were in need of a quick snack. This McDonalds is located right next to the water with great views. A must stop for us.

They didn’t have their breakfast menu out on display. And when we were ordering, they were rude.

This is one thing of the most polite and happy McDonalds I have ever been to. Everyone smiles and greets you. Plus the food is hot and good.
If you are in a rush, you might want to hit the drive thru as it moves more quickly.

I’m not a McDonald’s fan, really (although I do like their breakfast menu), but I always stop here when on the island for an ice cream cone or something to drink. It’s got free wifi, which is important to me, and it’s got a nice view of Stewart Beach nearby. It’s clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. Even got a free refill of my coffee this morning!

Nice staff, clean restrooms, tables clean, food was fresh and fast, we enjoyed the grilled chicken sandwiches and southwest chicken salads. Walked to Wings while parked there. Very convenient to Stewart Beach Park.

Terrible service, rude management. Don’t eat there– save yourself the time by choosing 53^rd & Broadway’s. I called up there to get a Togo order going because I had a tight sceduale that day, the immediantly manager hung up in my face… Fine don’t take my money. They got 3 stars because I called the 800 number on there butts and the person over them out them in check about their unprofessional behavior.

People, it’s a McDonald’s… in Galveston. Don’t get your fancy panties in a wad, not if, but when the food and service fall a little short of your high standards.
But when it’s done right, it’s worth raving about!
Today I got Mr. Elmer at the register and he was so wonderfully accommodating and patient with my order. I realize this is not a gourmet coffee shop, but he and his team went out of their way to make a decaf iced coffee for my pregnant self and it turned out pretty good! Drank it with my Egg-​White McMuffin, which is SO much better than that dubious yolk that I used to dig out anyway. Thank you, Elmer, for being so respectful despite my picky order and my use of a coupon!

Dear McDonald’s on sea wall,
Yes you serve standard McDonalds food quickly and some of your employees are nice. (that’s why you get 2 stars not 1)
However when I went through the drive throu on march 19, 2012 the service was well below subpar.
First I pulled up and waited. And waited and waited and waited. There was no one else in the drive throu (no other cars!!) finally I decided to just leave and I was flagged down by the lady in the first window. I ordered
1 small chocolate shake
A #10 (chicken nuggets)
And a crispy chicken sandwich off the dollar menu.
Seems easy right?
Nope, I get my bag of food and happen to glance down and notice it says «hot and spicy» so I ask the guy is I really the hot and spicy or just the wrapper?
He replied
«that’s the only chicken sandwich we sell please drive on»
I left and called the manager when I was verbally accosted and told that this is the only chicken sandwich McDonalds sells (referring to the hot and spicy crispy sandwich).
