Cornucopia-Natural Food & Fine Cheese

We had a slice of Mediterranean tart and a cinnamon roll. Both were really, really good!

Impressive small local organic grocery shopping place. I would come here all the time if I lived in the area. They have a great selection of all sorts of items from yogurt to grains, bath products to cheese.
Service was very friendly and even promoted their sales flyer.
I’ve never seen such a great selection in a small town local shop.

We contacted Cornucopia about the possibility of catering our wedding at Walnut Grove Farm. We ended up having our wedding elsewhere and therefore did not use Cornucopia, but Maury was incredibly kind, helpful, and let us sample some of their food. They seemed incredibly willing to cater a vegan wedding for 70.

Great little health food store in a small town. We stopped in on our 1700 mile drive for snacks and a few items we needed. I enjoyed the smaller sized store, it didn’t overwhelm me like Whole Foods always does. Like another reviewer stated not much in the way of fresh produce but they did have some staples. I wish my little historic hometown had one of these nearby!

Great selection of organic pre-​packaged food. If you’re looking for fresh organic, probably not the best selection. But they had a lot of anything else you’re looking for as far as supplements and my friend who is really into oils always goes there to get her stuff, selection looked big.

This quaint little store really impressed me and it was well worth my stop during a long road trip.
I walked in with no idea what I wanted, but the staff was very friendly and helpful. They has several prepared vegan foods and I gave the eggless egg salad a try. The gentleman that helped guide me (perhaps the owner?) throughout the store had many great suggestions and even strung up a conversation with my about my travels.
It’s one thing to provide customer service, but they really went above and beyond.
Not to mention they had several vegan options a from snacks to desserts, deli options and much more. I’m not sure if I’ll ever be in the area again, but if I am I would definitely stop back in.

Having Cornucopia nearby for the 9 months I lived in Galesburg was «as good as it gets». I did quite a bit of my weekly shopping here; I lived a couple of blocks away and managed to keep as much of my business as I could local. From the corner bulk selections (chai yogurt covered almonds? YES!) to the cheese case with local Prairie Breeze and interesting selections from further afield, I love everything about this little store. What brought me in and kept me happy was the consistently good service and their talents at handling my everyday needs and special requests. What made me a proselytizing shopper who sings their praises, though, is the deli case. Vegan sloppy joes on rye bread with sharp cheddar. Mushroom turnovers. Spanakopita. Creamy Pasta and One World Salads. And the Eggless Egg Salad. I’ve eaten so many quick lunches out of the case, I can’t think of anything there I *haven’t* tried. And they’re all delicious — but the vegan sloppy joes? They’re just about my favorite thing to have when I’m feeling nostalgic. You can grab a bag of chips and a ginger beer with your sandwich and people watch at the two-​top by the register, and you’ll love every bite. I promise.

We love this little store. Great staff, good selection of products. In a town with no Trader Joe’s or Whole Foods, this place is a God send. We stop in for essentials every time we visit Galesburg.

This seems to be pretty hard to find in this part of Illinois, but they do great with special orders and keep a healthy stock of organic foods.
Excellent selection of chocolate and cheese by the way ;)

Very helpful staff, super cozy décor and nice selection of whole/​health foods. They had raw honey and spelt berries, two items I have a hard time finding in Central, IL. This is a gem of a store! They also have some prepared organic foods and breads.

Five stars for surviving galesburg and responding pretty well to special requests. Only place of its kind here.
