The layout of this place is kind of unique with a bar in the middle and seating around it. It makes it easy for ordering drinks and seeing people across the bar. Service here is a lot easier than other places so it’s easy to get a drink and flag down bartender. Bathrooms are small and are in the back with a back entrance and a small porch for smoking. The drinks are decent with specials everyday. They even pour dollar shots and pass them around the bar, which makes it easy to pick up when you’re on a big group. This place seems pretty clean, good to go with a big group.

Walking distance from Amtrak stop in Galesburg which is perfect for refueling after the train ride from Chicago. No food but friendly service every time we’ve been there.

Very cool pub in historic area. The bar is very original wih the stools attached to the floor and beer is cheap, Score. The night I went the small crowd was young and hip. Hoping to go this weekend when my buddy comes to visit me in the Burg.

When it’s 3 below not many people come out to the bars, so I was the only one here for a while. The bartender, Stephanie, was great. Friendly service, good prices, and a good variety of bottled micro-brews made this place a great place to visit.

Love it. I only discovered it once I officially became 21, but after that I loved it. It has a great outdoor area for when it is nice out. The bar is kind of small and can get kind of crowded, but I was never treated poorly here unlike some other institutions. The only problem was it is pretty far from campus. Which, if you think about it and went to a large state school, you’d laugh at us for thinking that.

Free popcorn & $ 3 sex on the beaches? What’s not to love about Seminary Street? Yeah, I must say, I miss the pleasures of small-town drinking. I had many formative drinking experiences here, and Seminary Street is dear to my heart. I mean, the place is historic, there’s free popcorn and an outdoor patio, frequently live music(although rarely good), and you can get totally smashed while tipping generously for under $ 20. Man! I will be sad when I go out tonight and spend $ 8 on the cheapest glass of wine…

This is probably the first public bar that I drank at as an underaged student. The drinks were pretty good, too… but you can’t really mess up beer. I saw an amazing student jazz performance here on a Thursday when I wasn’t writing a paper.
