The staff is really nice, friendly & helpful! The place was clean & the food was great. The mac n cheese is my favorite thing here. There’s free ice cream(which I made into a root beer float)! Will return!

The food(especially the Brisket) is to die for!!! I’m so disappointed to read the bad reviews based on service, out of all the times I’ve went(at least 3 times a month if not more) I’ve gotten my food within an reasonable amount of time. When things get busy, yes it can take a while but I’ve experienced this at the brea location as well so I’ve grown patience lol(where else am I gonna get delicious Brisket!!!) overall awesome place!!! P.s there is a sign on the door saying they are capable of running out of meat at any time, hence the Father’s Day fiasco but at least they warned em ;)

We just drove from the Brea location that had an eviction notice on the door all the way to this Fullerton location because we really wanted some BBQ for dinner. We called on our way just to make sure they were open since it’s a holiday and I wasn’t sure of the hours. I was assured they are open but no other info. They were open when we arrived. We stood waiting for the employee cutting the meet to acknowledge us. After a few minutes he did, then proceeded to tell us that we will not even have our order taken for at least 20 minutes as they were fulfilling online orders! What?!? I’m standing in front of you… pregnant and starving with our young daughter and my husband on Father’s Day and you won’t serve us because someone placed an order online?! Terrible customer service. If I was sure I wouldn’t have blown up at them for all patrons to see I would have said something. Instead we turned around and walked out like the people before an after us. I’ve never heard of such a thing. I have no desire to go there again… and we WERE frequent customers. ***i received a comment to my review to reply with my contact info… there is no way to reply or message Dickeys. Please send me a separate message so I can reply to you and reply privately.***

I love the food, but am constantly disappointed with the SLOOOOOW service. Why on Earth would you only have 4 people working on a Sunday, your most popular day? It literally takes 25 minutes with 3 people ahead of you. Management needs to revamp things. Last Sunday I was there, 2 workers asked the same question 3 times to the lead. «Beans and coleslaw?» «Yes.» Five minutes later: «Beans and coleslaw?» You get the picture.

We love Dickies usually! Went to this location on Father’s Day at 4:45pm. The restaurant had very few people in it. We were turned away saying they had too many online orders to fill, therefore they could not help us! We were blown away! Probably will never come back again! We ended up going to Meats Up in Placentia and had a wonderful meal. PS I was asked to send my email address and phone number but it does not say where I can send that info to. I believe the business needs to go to Messages, send me a message and I can respond to that.

Dickies is really good the brea one was very good n they closed it the Fullerton one is ok but the are out of meats sometimes and you no if they have to rush to make it it’s not going to be the best the ribs fall right off the bone a lil to much for me u should be able to jus get your bite off the bone not all the meet but very good! Free ice cream can’t go wrong kids love it but everyone that work here is helpful and nice kids eat free Sunday also! Perfect

The food is very good. Got Ribs and Brisket to go and the meat was hot, tender and juicy. Also, make sure you take home all three BBQ sauces. All very tasty. Give this place a try. Excellent !!!

Food is great, but they are a little unorganized. Chances are it could be because we went on a Sunday evening when kids eat free, but they definitely need to beef up the staff on these nights. The trash was too full twice while we were(finally taken out when piled over), the beverage and condiment station was out of many things, ice cream cones ran out, and there was no one to wipe the tables down. Some of the sides are freshly fried, which is nice but they send you to your table without them and then are supposed to bring them to you. They were so busy tonight I had to ask numerous times for our different sides and kids meal to be finished. The staff was running around 100 miles per hour trying to do everything when one person could have been assigned to take care of it completely. One suggestion would be to have someone taking orders and writing an order ticket to be passed along the line during the making process and then to the cashier. When you get to the cashier, they ask what you ordered. So again you have to tell them and make sure you cover it all. Overall, the food is really yummy. I had a chicken sandwich and hubby had pulled pork. Both tasty, and the mashed potatoes and onion tangles are also good! Kids meal is a great deal. They just need to get a little more organized.

This is my first time here and i can describe my experience in two words: clean, healthy. I know, a barbeque place is clean? Healthy? But let me explain. I got the lil hoagie plate that comes with two sides. Beef brisket with all the toppings with the creamy spinach and baked potato casserole as sides. When I bit into the sandwich my first reaction was, wow this feels homemade, as in the ingredients were clean and fresh. The sauce wasn’t overpowering. Usually with barbeque places you can’t really tell if you are tasting the sauce or the meat. Honestly I was expecting some kind of sodium drenched sandwich but I was really surprised by how great the meat tasted and how crunchy the onions were. The crunchiness of the onions, the softness of the meat, and the chewiness of the buns really balanced each other out. And the greatest part was that I could taste each ingredient without any distractions from the sauce. The sides also, were surprisingly clean and healthy tasting. They really taste like homemade southern food. Yes, I had legit homemade southern food, in a home, with legit sweet tea. One of the best food experiences of my life. Now this place isn’t going to wow you like the traditional barbeque places like Phil’s BBQ. But for a semi fast-food joint, this place really delivers great food. It’s like Jersey Mike’s version of the BBQ industry. Now the only thing I would recommend for others is to come as a group, because honestly the portions are huge. Too much for an individual. So in conclusion, the food here tastes fresh and healthy, for a Barbeque place. But the portions are huge, so if you find yourself getting fat from eating here blame it on the huge portions haha. 4 stars.

I really like their food for lunch or dinner but I was extremely impressed with their Easter Feast. The meal comes with a ham, green beans with bacon, a Caesar salad, a baked potato casserole, and a dozen rolls to serve 10 – 12 people. I purchased an extra dozen rolls and 3 lbs of the beef brisket because I was having a dinner for 15 people. In all, this prepared meal made my holiday meal planning easy and delicious.

The management at Dickey’s were nice and were very concerned that we did not have a pleasurable experience. They offered us the opportunity to try them again and we did and what a difference experience it was. First of all the staff there is outstanding. They are friendly and outgoing but they were wonderful also on our first visit. The only issue we had with the first visit was the quality of the meats and the price. This visit was quite the opposite. We tried the chicken and ham since that is what we missed out on the first time. The chicken was flavorful and surprisingly moist. The ham was delicious as well. I now see why they sold out of these on our first visit. For my sides this time I tried the Mac and cheese and the onion tanglers. I was worried because I am very picky when it comes to Mac and cheese but this one was on point. Loved it but my new favorite thing is these onion tanglers. Delicious and tasty and I was pleasantly surprised since I am not an onion fan. My husband had the baked beans and the onion tanglers and he enjoyed both. Thank you Alen for allowing us to change our minds and that you actually read our first review and did something about it. It shows you care and now we are fans and will be back. This trip the food was worth the prices they charge. I can definitely endorse them now.

I love the ribs. Perfect flavoring. The meat is just the right amount of tenderness. Pulled pork was also amazing. Other places are either too fatty or too dry. Sooooo good!

Now I really hate to be that guy, but I feel I have to sometimes. $ 15 was a lot to pay yesterday for a meal that’s pretty much fast food bbq. I ordered the 2 plate meal. I ordered chicken breast and brisket. I’m a little sad because I couldn’t really taste the seasoning on either of these the chicken mainly. One of my sides was potato salad which was a little bland and the side salad was good. The bbq sauce here is great though. Very good flavor to it that you will have to use on their meat. I also don’t think the presentation was very nice. Cafeteria trays and the sides in little cups gives it a different dining experience. Lastly, the price was a little steep. $ 15 for the amount of meat I got was not fair. Sorry. :(

MEATS: –Pulled pork is my favorite. Soft, tender, not dry! –Brisket is thick cut and cooked medium to medium well so not my cup of tea. –BBQ chicken pretty tasty. Can’t really mess this one up unless it’s overcooked. –Sausages: two types. One is cheese filled polish and the other is a spicy one. Both good SAUCE: Three types of bbq sauce: original, sweet, and my favorite. SPICY. Mix to your liking! SIDES –Waffle fries come in huge portions for just one order. Made fresh. –Okra is pretty good too if you prefer your greens fried. –Mac n cheese is great, nice and thick. Very satisfying. Wonder if they could throw bacon in. DRINKS etc: –Souvenir cup if you purchase a beverage –Sweet tea is good, mix with unsweetened if you prefer less sugar. –Complimentary soft serve to finish off your meal, they even have cones! Service: Good customer service, but they mainly just provide the food. It’s self serve otherwise. Their silverware really is silver, but plastic lol. Don’t expect the world’s best damn bbq when you come here and you will leave happy. It is great for a chain where you don’t have to travel to Texas. I can’t speak for other locations but this one is great.

I love me some good bbq! I can definitely taste all the hard work that is put into smoking those meats! Yum yum! I love coming here because everyone has such a great attitude. What’s also great is everyday there is a meal special! Everything I have tried(tri tip, pulled pork, smoked sausage, smoked chicken) super juicy and full of flavor! Make sure to try their bbq sauce too! My favorite is the spicy! After you finish your meal there is a cool treat still waiting. Free soft serve! Hooray for ice cream! This is one great bbq joint and I recommend grabbing a bit to eat here!

Tried this place for the first time yesterday with my gals and loved it! We placed an order over the phone and were told it would be ready in 10 minutes, which it was! Place is cute inside and décor is set up to give you that country BBQ spot feel! I ordered the one meat plate that comes with two sides. The portions are a good size and definitely filing. My meat choice was the pulled pork which was nice and tender. Could have used some seasoning but once you get the BBQ sauce on it it’s delicious. The jalapeño beans were so good. They had jalapeño pieces in it and it had a kick but not too overbearing. The order of waffle fries is a lot. They are salted with a seasoning I really enjoyed. Prices are high for a lunch! My plate was $ 10.95 before tax and didn’t have a drink. Mine was just a one meat plate too so for two meats I’m sure it’s up their. You do get free soft serve ice cream. Since ours was to go they gave us cups and lids! Service was friendly!

First time here and I have to say I am a fan. I didn’t eat inside so I didn’t get to experience their full service so I am really just reviewing the food itself and the quick service I got picking up the food. The inside is a decent size for sit down. Seems clean and comfortable setting. The workers were very nice with us picking up our order and had the food ready. They have three different types of barbecue sauces. Spicy, sweet, and orginial. My favorite is the original. Very flavorful and adds to the food in and good way. I ordered the bbq pulled pork sandwich plate which came with two sides. The sandwich itself is small, so if you just ordered that it most likely won’t be filling. I loved the bread. It was a soft and delicious bun! The meat was cooked very tender and was lightly barbecued. I added more sauce because I personally like my meats really saucy. I got the mac n cheese and baked loaded mashed potato. Mac n cheese was really good, so cheesy! The potatoes were also very tastey! Loved the cheese on top with a little green onion for added flavor. They have free soft serve ice cream for everyone inside and they let us take to go cups for the road with some cones. Every Sunday kids eat free. I really enjoyed my meal and look forward to the next.

I had put off trying Dickey’s BBQ as a fast food chain because I’m a BBQ fanatic that was scared off by the BBQ chain deal. = Mickey-donalds, Burger Queen and the like. However when I saw my Unilocal bro Pancho V actually 3 starred it and loved the beanz I had to try. I came for a linner meal(lunch & dinner) around 3 and was surprised at how busy it was. As a newbie to Dickey’s I had to suck in the menu and ask a few questions. One question seemed to linger in my head. How do you do «fast» smoked /bbq food? And the answer came before it slipped my lips. It is mostly pre cooked and rewarmed for the consumer = YOU. I was a little put off by that as I watched them pulling my brisket from a bag, however I thought of the great many leftover bbq tidbits that I’ve eaten the next day being just fine or even better the next day. And hey I was already here and I was hella hungry to boot. So I decided to go whole hog on some of Dickey’s pork and beef treats and see what they be like. DRINKS: Cold beer, many in the fridge and on tap
FOOD I ORDERED: Order at the counter deal. Half a slab of the KC style spare ribs… ½ lb of the beef brisket … ¼ lb of spicy cheddar cheese sausage … Side of jalapeño baked beans … Side of tater salad but got a side of the Baked Potato Casserole … Free ice cream … I ATE: Ribs … These were pretty good and had a nice hickory taste and a decent smoke ring although a couple were way overcooked to jerky consistency. 3.5 *** Stars Brisket …, The brisket was all over the place, firm and dry to moist and fatty. The taste was hit n miss too. 2.75**Stars Spicy cheddar cheese sausage … Not very spicy(needed more chili) Still this would have made a great Sammy. On it’ own it was just ok. 3***Stars Side of jalapeño baked beans … Not sure if these were the same ones Pancho had but they were ok by me after I added some TX Pete’s hot sauce. Baked Potato Casserole … A gut filler with a nice taste. Could have used some bacon bits and sour cream 2.75**Stars Free ice cream… Who don’t like free soft serve? 4****Stars BBQ Sauce … 3 kinds to choose from original, sweet and hot. Preferred the hot but it got a bit of a kick some may not like. All come from warmed dispensers. 3.75***Stars Need to try next time: Pork & Tangler Baker = chopped pork, cheddar, fried onions, barbecue sauce & green onions Green Beans with Bacon = Green Beans with Bacon DUH Barbecue Honey Ham = honey glazed spiral cut ham Ok so Dickie’s was better than I expected. The servers were nice and helpful. The place was pretty dang clean for a BBQ joint. They have shitty country/pop Muzak playing. Did I mention free ice cream? Guess they also do catering. And kids dealio too! The price is reasonable. I agree fast food BBQ from Dickeys ain’t half bad. I’ll be back
