I was looking for a place to buy a fresh cream puff and I saw the reviews for this place and thought I might as well try it. Sadly, the cream puff was not very good. It was obviously not freshly baked. It was just taken from a package and filled with cream. They are a decent size – about the size of a baseball or a bit bigger. The cream tasted good, but the bread was kind of hard and just disappointing. They are expensive too, over $ 2 for 1 puff(you save $ 1.50 if you buy 6). No special flavors, only vanilla cream. Also, I paid around $ 4 for a cappuccino and there was nothing special about it. Don’t buy cappuccino here, go to starbucks or any donut place instead. The venue is modern and clean. This Beard Papa’s is part of a Mochilato. Kind of like those Togos/Baskin-Robins combinations. Overall, would not come back just for the cream puffs. *Tip: Credit/debit card purchases have to be over $ 5

Holy shizz… my friend brought me one cream puff like last month and I’ve been hooked. She said she got it from l.a. but I juts found out that there was one here in fullerton. So heck yeah for me. The cream is cold which makes it taste even better. Go knock yourselves out.

I fell in love with their choux cream!!! It’s not too sweet but just right amount of sugar. If you are looking for choux that has some serious sweetness, this isn’t for you. Plus it’s 3 min waling distance from my house! woo-hoo! Price it’s not cheap but if you get 6 of the choux you will get some discount!

This place has rude workers. I thought I would try this place because I love cream puff. It was my first time here, so I had questions like any newbie would. They were not helpful at all!!! Attitude sucks. Needless to say, this was my first and last time here.

Came here for dessert with my nieces and cousin after eating at California Tofu which is right next door. It’s different because the place is split into 2 businesses; Beard Papa and Café Mochilato. My nieces wanted something from Café Mochilato so we got a couple mochi ice creams and I got their pistachio gelato. Tasted pretty rich in flavor but definitely over-priced, I feel. A small gelato in a cup is $ 3.50, although it is a decent size scoop. Paid $ 10.50 for 2 mochi ice cream and 2 small gelatos. Also, nice friendly staff. They have a private lot in a huge shopping plaza and plenty of seating inside and outside. Looks like they may have had free wifi as well since I saw a few people studying. I, personally, probably wouldn’t come back because it wasn’t all that great. Looks like it would be a good place to study and hang out though if I was a student again.

Right away it was very hard to find this place because it’s not a freestanding Beard Papa’s, it’s inside of another restaurant/café type place. The man who we gave our order to barely spoke any English and we had to constantly re-tell him our order because he kept messing it up as he was going along. We ordered 3 cream puffs, 3 eclairs, and 1 of a different shape of the cream puffs. He kept nodding like he understood us but in the end, it took him about 15 minutes to pull out pre-made cream puff shells, fill them with cream, and put them in a box. Then when we were rung up the boy at the cash register was rude and never said thank you, just took our money and that was it. And when we opened the box of our order it ended up being wrong; he gave us 4 cream puffs, 2 eclairs, and 2 of the other shaped cream puffs. He clearly had no idea what we asked him for and repeated to him multiple times. And the cream puffs themselves were just okay taste wise, definitely not worth the $ 15 we paid for them. The language barrier, slow and overall bad service, inability to get our order right, and mediocre quality of product are all reasons I will never be returning.

UGH! CREAMPUFFs are hella sic. Pretty sic place to kick it with a laptop or something. There are plenty of room and the benches in the corner are pretty comfy as well. There is a cozy patio outside as well. The gelato here is super gnarly. Coffee is pretty good as well but make sure you try the gelato and mochi!

Cream puffs! I don’t know any other place that sells single cream puffs so if you like a little treat check it out. Not too expensive & the basic mini vanilla cream puffs are pretty good. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the only flavored they offered was vanilla. I would have liked to try the green tea flavored cream puff. Also, this beard papas is located inside of Mochilato. It was a bit difficult to find but the overall atmosphere of place was very mellow. I would say this is a great place to grab a bite or even do a little bit of studying! :)

First of all this is not a full freestanding beard papas. It is part of a small mochilato. They only sell cream puffs and eclairs with vanilla cream filling. On occasion they will do a special order of strawberry cream. The vanilla is uninspired, it lacks any flavor. But, the choux pastry is fresh and made on the premises. Not worth a drive for the cream puffs or eclairs alone. They are also slightly more expensive, $ 2.55 for each éclair. They do seem slightly larger than those i have purchased at other beard papas. so this may be a wash value-wise. However, they offer a vary large selection of fresh gelato filled mochi. The mango, plum wine are definite standouts. The mocha, green tea, strawberry, and mint are also good. They are not cheap, each mochi is $ 1.75. They also sell gelato, the same gelato they sell in mochi. Stay away from the iced latte, bland and very blonde. For the mochi alone I would rate four stars. Five stars if they were not over priced.

I’ve tried the Paris and the Original with custard. The first time I had it here(and I had been going to the puente hills one until they closed), it was hot out of the oven and 5 star DELICIOUS. The second time, they were cold and not worth it. The third time, I decided to ask if they were fresh, and I was told they just came out of the oven, so we each bought 1 paris and 1 original, both with custard. They were cold and as bad as the second time so I looked back at the worker and got this surprised look on her face. I don’t know if ‘fresh’ meant it came out 5 minutes ago, or 15, or 30, but it makes a huge difference. If I recall, the one in puente hills would take a few minutes but they would be consistently delicious. My advice: if you see these things coming out of the oven, BUYTHEMANDBUY A LOTWHILEYOUCAN! If not, meh, go home and toast it or something, maybe then it’ll taste good :)

Finally! Cream puffs right in my neighborhood! Located inside of Mochilado, the counter girl was super sweet — as the cream puffs! Hot and perfection, I am happy to report that it’s as good as the other locations! Two thumbs up!
