This place is a great spot for breakfast. Very small. High quality food. Great service. This is a must stop. Not much else to say. Except this is a place that you want or keep coming back and try something new. Little serious today. I’m with the boss. :)

Our new go-to breakfast place!(They’re open for lunch, too.). The food is excellent, prepared well and just the way you ask for it. And the prices cannot be beat. This morning we had two very hearty meals: country-fried steak for my husband, a bacon and cheese omelet for me. Both came with two sides. The list includes hash brown and country potatoes, toast, English muffins(white or wheat), a biscuit, fruit, broccoli, and a few other things. Coffee — help yourself to a mug from the thrift store assortment — is 50¢. Our bill, with tax, was $ 15. We left a generous tip. It’s a small place and depending on the crowd, you may have to share a table or eat at the counter. But everyone is friendly and the wait staff are pleasant and efficient. It’s a pleasure to give a great review to this small business and hope it continues to be successful.

Simple, honest breakfast and lunch joint. Good .50 coffee, great catfish, chicken-fried steak, ham, terrific sides. Everything tastes homemade. Dirt cheap. What’s not to love?

We like to support local business, and will go out of our way to seek out places like this. I was a bit skeptical about finding a place to eat at 11:30 on a Sunday morning, figuring we’d have to wait behind the church crowds. Even with only 6 tables, the turnover was pretty quick here. We both had fish & chips, and while the portions were average size, the price was perfect, and neither of us left any food on our plate. The fish was hot and crispy, the steak fries were hot & fresh, the coleslaw was interesting — beet juice or red cabbage, I’m not sure, but it was cold and tangy. The beverages are self-serve. There is one«community» table — it’s a 6-top, and if there are only two people seated at the big table, they should expect to have other diners join them. I thought that’s a pretty neat concept. The restrooms are only accessible from outside, and they were clean, adequate, and functioning. We give it a thumbs up and will keep this marked in our GPS as a go-to place if we’re in town again at meal time.

This place deserves each and everyone of these five stars and even more! Everyone here is kind, down-to-earth and no nonsense. You get your order and they get you delicious food fast. I will go here 1 million times over because the prices are cheaper than any other place I’ve been to and the quality is superior to other places I’ve been to. Great people! Great place!

French Toast is great Cuban has roast pork and ham and is nicely done. It would be nice if they had homemade fries and/or black beans as a side. Staff was friendly with the regulars and fun. They need to work on th AC or come when it’s cooler. Overall, a nice local place.

great local diner yes it is small, yes there is a chance you may have to share a table with others yes it is not«fine» or haute cuisine — what is though is good honest food for low prices you get your own coffee from the pots their biscuits and gravy is better than we can make at home the staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome one of our favorite places in this area

Love this place, ok so maybe I’m biased as my daughter was a server here while she was going to community college, she has since gone on to further her education at a far away university. The owners treated her so well that my husband and I still frequent this little haven tho not during snowbird season the place is tiny but they have excellent food I especially love the philly on wheat it’s worth the 45 min drive for us

Great little place — we ran across it when we made a trip from the Orlando area to the North Lake Flea Market(blah, more on that in another post). This place saved the day — great food, great prices.

I had the opportunity to visit the Fruitland Park Café for the first time last night. I was taken there with friends who claimed it was great. It was to be an all you can eat Fried Catfish night with sides. We were all underwhelmed. My friends were really disappointed as they had been there before for a Monday all you can shovel in Cuban Pork Night and knowing how good that was they fully expected the Catfish Night to equal it. Didn’t happen. The sides were bland and just warm. The first Catfish filet was kinda decent but seconds were not even Catfish. We think they were scrap pieces of Cod that were uneatable. One star because the service was good. At any rate, we left disappointed.

This place exceeds my expectations of a local café, especially where it is located. Fruitland Park is a very lucky community to have such a place to enjoy tasty and inexpensive breakfast and lunch with a metropolitan flair. The menu offers a variety of favorites including bread fresh baked daily at a bakery in Inverness. Sit at the bar and enjoy the staff’s company, they are all very nice and provide great service. I am very happy to have this place nearby.

My hubby and I went here again this morning and got breakfast for $ 8. Some notes: –It was super packed at 9am on a Sunday(duh). I overheard they had to turn some folks away. –The bread they use is fantastic and from a local bakery in Inverness. –The staff and most of the patrons were VERY friendly.
