Ambiance is great, service is prompt and courteous. Four people for dinner — each had a different dish. None of us would order these dishes again. My lasagna tasted sour(like sour milk)! No starters, 4 meals, no deserts and one bottle of wine — $ 160 with tip!!!

Second time to visit and second time to feel the food was just ok. Party of 4 ordered lasagna, sea bass, linguini pescatore, and a chicken dish. Lasagna had a displeasing sourness and the flavors of the rest of the food was on the bland side. Restaurant was uncomfortably warm. Bread basket is good, nice ambience, and good service, but food won’t bring us back.

Ehhh. Very much so. The bartender was great! Service was not at all the issue. The food was very lack luster, bland, and overall not enjoyable. I’d go back for pizza, and drinks.

Benvenuti! Trattoria: It is pronounced(trä-t-ŕē-). A Trattoria is an Italian-Style restaurant that is less formal, where the wine is fantastic, prices are moderate, and the emphasis is on a steady clientele rather than on haute cuisine. The food is modest, but plentiful, mostly following regional and local recipes. al Giardino: It is pronounced(äl-jar-dē-no) Al Giardino means«in the garden» And, that’s exactly what we provide; the best ingredients available, served in a comfortable and cozy garden-like atmosphere, that captures the heart and soul of what you love most about Italy. Their Chef creates seasonal and signature menus including our signature black cod, handcrafted mozzarella and ricotta cheeses, and select homemade pastas. We also feature hand-tossed pizza and freshly baked bread. All dishes combine the freshest and finest ingredients; including the ripest tomatoes, finest olive oils, best Italian flour, and special dishes prepared on request. For me,…This is the best as it gets! This little gem is a must place to dine.

This is a pretty decent eatery here in the Amalfi Stonebriar apartment complex. Italian by name and a good effort is made to make it seem as authentic as possible but it isn’t quite all the way there yet. Maybe they can’t fool me since I grew up in NY and NJ where getting real authentic Italian food was merely a trip to nona’s house. I think I’ve been there a handful of time but merely out of convenience since it’s an easy walk from the apartment. Would I drive out of my way for this establishment, no! The people and staff are nice and try their best so A for effort there. It offers a good ambiance and friendly service with decent Italian food, much better than some of the ‘Italian’ places here in the DFW area.

Disappointed. This pleace has such potential. The setting is beautiful, the vibe is positive and then everything else happens… I dined alone on a Sunday. It was pretty slow, but this might be one of those hidden gems. I asked to sit outside. I was welcomed promptly and received good service. Had a lovely glass of chianti and some bread. For dinner, I ordered the linguini a la pescadora. Sounded amazing. Linguini with calamari, shrimp, mussels and clams in a light tomato sauce. While waiting on my meal, the server covers the small outside table with a cloth napkin, but when he lays it down there is a giant stain on it, rather than replace it, he just turns it over quickly, glances at me but leaves it and then goes to get my meal. Immediately I ask for the manager, they replace the napkin and apologize. When my meal arrives, it is beautiful! Gorgeous! Ans then I taste it. For all of the potential this dish could have, it trully falls short. It has no flavor! None! It needs salt and a bit of acidity. What a bummer! It could have been love… but it’s over now… For my troubles, I get a pretty and unimaginative crème brule that I honestly could have made at home. So, a giant meh on this place, the food, the service, the management, meh.

Our first visit here was excellent. Service was phenomenal, food was delicious, & the atmosphere is tough to beat. The bread and gnioci seemed very much like Isabella’s(which we loved) to the point that it made us think the owners must have purchased some recipes from the folks that owned the previous joint. I had the Osso Bucco(their Saturday special), & it was among the best I’ve ever had.

Truly a great dining experience. The orecchiette was outstanding, the gnocchi was house made, wine was priced fairly. Service was good, and paced to our request. If I am going out for Italian this is my new go to place.

Meh… I guess it was ok for an Italian restaurant in Texas. Service was great but the food was pretty bland. The wine list sucks! The starter bread was salty. If I’m eating heavy carbs it needs to be worth it and this was just … Ok.

My daughter and I went last night for dinner. What a beautiful restaurant. It’s very charming and cozy. You feel like your in Florence in an authentic Trattoria. We had great service and the food was fantastic. We started with Calamari, lightly battered and fried to perfection. A nice size portion as well. The wine list was quite good with several choices by the glass. One of my favorite Malbecs was offered by the glass so that was a nice surprise . The house bread was was a dense focaccia really good and replenished without us even asking. My daughter ordered the rigatoni with Bolognese sauce it was meaty and really full of fresh flavors. I ordered the Gnoochi. Soft pillow dumplings that literally melted in my mouth. The sauce was rich and velvety smooth with just a hint of Gorgonzola. I haven’t had any Gnoochi that good since the last time I ate it in Italy. To be honest I’m still dreaming about it. I can’t wait to go back to this little gem.

My wife and I stop by for dinner durning a Friday evening and we were ready for an adventure. We did not have reservations, so our wait was about 30 minutes in the bar area. The bar staff was very friendly and quick to serve us. Plus we has a little appetizer to nibble on. Once we arrived at the table, the waitress was quite friendly and took our drink orders. When returning, she explained the additional specials. There was not a rush to move us along and we enjoyed our dinner. The portions were large and we had no room for dessert. The experience was well worth another visit in the future.

I love supporting a local eatery. This is very nicely decorated restaurant. It is warm and inviting. I was seated promptly and greeted by a friendly waitress. The have great lunch menu specials. It includes tea, salad and an entrée for $ 10.99. Now, I am always searching for real authentic Bolognese sauce. Unfortunately, this did not meet my expectations. It was a good meat ragu, but it was missing carrots, celery, and that rich wine flavor. I’m not a chef, but that is what my palate could tell was missing. The hubby ordered the lasagna. He thought it was a little greasy, but I thought maybe it was from the melted cheese. I was coming in hopes of Authentic Italiano, but it was really good for it being American Italian.

I keep business cards in my wallet for a reason. It’s always a warm invitation. The dinner atmosphere presents a fine balance of intimacy with ambient liveliness. The waitstaff are truly professional; well poised, knowledgeable, and precise in service. On to the food of course: This is the Renaissance! Age old classics re-inspired with finesse and Italian passion. The General Manager and Chef are from both from Italy; this isn’t your standard New York meatballs. I always get the Chicken Parmigiana! Well portioned, glazed with a crispy golden crust, contrasted by a tender core, and topped with home-made mozzarella. The budino is my favorite desert. It’s the Chef’s interpretation of a clash between a tiramisu and flan. It’s cloud-like texture is unparalleled. They have a great wine selection too. This is European elegance sewn into Texas’s Southern Hospitality. A must for Italian food lovers.

At the urging of some friends, management and others on Unilocal,I gave it another try last week. Pleasantly surprised, as the service issues seemed to be worked out and the service was much better. They made me an off menu dish to help me get around Lent restrictions. Happy to see they got the initial issues worked out and I hope they continue to thrive in that space. Glad we visited again.

Came here around 45 minutes before closing and they still let us order. I did not see linguini with clams on the menu but they still were able to make it for me. Although it was good, being from New York I definitely had higher expectations ’cause my friend said this was the best Italian place. Hubby had pasta and a pizza which he loved. Our server was so friendly and attentive. I just wish I could remember her name. What shocked me the most was that they hand grated cheese for you. Superb! Never had fancy treatment like that in NY. Tiramisu was not too bitter, which was great. Would definitely be back.

I absolutely adore this place for HH. Free pizza and half off appetizers along with HH wine and beer — yeah, that is pretty spectacular but the hubs and I just can’t help ourselves. We HAVE to get dinner. Our routine usually consists of getting our drink and noshing on a slice while we peruse the menu. Then we split an appetizer and an entrée. In true Italian fashion, this place is NOT all about the pasta. Their seafoods and steak are absolutely lovely but if you must carb load, the gnocchi and lasagna are delish. We’ve moved so this place isn’t as convenient for HH any more but the dining area is lovely, service is practically perfect and ladies get a long stemmed red rose at the end of the meal, which is a lovely touch. Parking can stink so come early.
