I dont like writing negative reviews but in this case it is deserving. I ordered togo with some simple requests no lettuce or tomato on my taco. Guess what was on the taco when i got home? Lettuce and tomatoes. The server was literally taking my order and putting it in the POS as i was giving it to him. Now this could have been overlooked if the food had been awesome but it wasn’t. The queso tastes like cheese wiz and the tortillas used to make the enchiladas were like hard and really chewy

Posadas is a pretty decent value, with decent tasting food, in a casual atmosphere. Pros: — Free chips & salsa — Free ice cream — Decent salads and fajitas — Decent parking — Relatively good location near shopping areas — Moderately priced Cons: — Uncomfortable booths(at least in the bar area, where they sat us). The backs were wooden and the seats felt too firm. It felt like one person could stand up and the other person on that side would pop up. It was odd. — Bathrooms were missing TP and paper towels in almost all of them, even though it was Monday lunch(where it should be slower and time to stock).

My family and I ate at Posado’s in Frisco because our Tyler relatives love their hometown restaurant. The food was average, not my favorite texmex. The service was terrible. Our waiter was extremely rude, passive aggressive and obviously irritated that we decided to dine at their establishment at 9:20 pm when they close at 10 pm. Half of our party(2 people) was in the restroom and she asked us twice if we were ready to order. On the third attempt to take our order, she intently reminded us that she wanted to take our order before the kitchen closed. How can the kitchen close if you are open until 10 pm and it is only 9:25 pm? We also asked for a chip refill and her reply was that she would go see if there are any chips left! My husband had to refill our waters from a water pitcher that he located on the banister near our table. She never once asked to refill our non-alcoholic drinks. Her smart remarks, body language and pushy service made our dining experience very uncomfortable and unpleasant. We will not be returning when Mexican restaurants are available everywhere in Texas. If you decide to dine there please make sure Parker is not your server.

Way too pricey for the quality of food. If you don’t know Mexican food, then it would be ok. The rice and beans were not that good at all, in fact were terrible. The cheese burger had shredded cheese on top but seemed ok, as well as the kids chicken strips were pretty good(according to a 5 year old), my son loved the fries. I ordered the Diablo gorditas and they were disappointing… The shrimp was salty and I am not sure why is called ‘diablo’, all it had was salt and pepper-no hot sauce of any kind, the gordita itself was very thick and but didn’t taste toooo bad but overall they were not good at all. The Chips were the highlight of the night. Price was $ 68 for 2 adults &2 kids, not worth the money. Chipotle would’ve been a better option.

As my wife and I walked in, I should have been deterred by the sight of a «claw machine» in the lobby. Through the glass I thought the toys were wearing expressions of joy. Instead, the glass hid the sounds of their screams that I should, «Go back! Before its too late!» Here’s some advice leveled at the restaurant: 1. If you have a sign that says«Wait to be Seated», then assign someone to be a hostess! Don’t make customers track down a waiter after several minutes of waiting. 2. After seating the customers let them stay seated. Don’t come back and ask them to move to another table because of «fire code» 3. As a waiter, know the menu. Specifically, the difference between shredded beef and ground beef. The only reason I drove 40 minutes to your location is because your staff told me it was shredded. Not cool bro. 4. Process cards with haste. No one wants to linger awkwardly in an already unpleasant situation. That said, I don’t want to condemn this franchise. Some of the staff members smiled warmly and mentioned their personal lives– the kids they have at home and how much they love being parents. But still, this is a business– and it needs to be fine tuned if it has any chance of succeeding. UPDATE: Within 24 hours of posting the previous statement we received a call from a Manager by the name of Steven. He listened to our concerns, absorbed our feedback, and refunded our card. His professional response was greatly appreciated!

As a new parent, my nights out are very few and far between. My husband and a couple of our friends decided to try out Posados last week. Our server was really sweet, but that was the only positive part of the night. The food was lukewarm and halfway through our dinner, my friend spotted a HUGE rat crawling behind the bar shelves. We all saw it and even though the food wasn’t great, there was no way we could finish our food at that point. Thankfully, the manager understood and comped our meals. We still tipped our server very well because it wasn’t his fault, but I couldn’t help but notice how they weren’t alarmed by the fact that a huge rat was crawling around. It must not be the first time this has happened. We definitely won’t be going back to this location for awhile.

Food and service were both medicore. I generally LOVE posados because I have my staple items that I enjoy like the flautitas or the beef fajita quesadillas. The waiter was just slow and not getting water or the food very quickly. We waited for our meals for 30 minutes. Luckily the chips and salsa guy was on top of things and we were able to eat something while we waited, we just ended up full before our food. Not horrible, but not great. They really could use some cleaning up and friendlier staff.

My daughter and I ate there Saturday and were very impressed. We picked up very positive vibes when we entered. First thing we noticed was they seemed to be short-handed, however everyone was working as a team to take care of the customers. Manager was waiting tables, bus persons assisted in getting food out of the kitchen. Food was good and plentiful. Con’t have anything negative to say.

My favorite Mexican restaurant, they have the best fajitas, and the cancun plater is out of this world. The staff is okay, it really depends on who you get, but the management is excellent so if you don’t like something they are quick to fix the problem

For me, this restaurant is like home. Originally from Tyler, TX, where the Posados Café is based, this little slice of home is comfort food. I have to say though that this not a great Mexican food restaurant. A slice of home for me maybe, however the quality, price and value is completely underwhelming. The chips and salsa are fresh and delightful. I can say that I truly love both. The quality of the queso is that from a can. Absolutely nothing to write home about for the queso. The prices of this restaurant are higher than what I am used to and on par with a better restaurant like Anamia’s or Micocina with the a quality just better than Taco Bueno on things like rice, beans, queso and other sauces. The chicken and beef fajita meat is good but over priced. Unfortunately the wait staff do not make it any better. The staff seem put out, slow and uncaring. Last time we came here, we left due to a waiter not coming by the table for over 10 minutes to just take a drink order. The only reason I come back is for the chips and salsa, and the fact that it somehow reminds me of home. Although, the restaurants in Tyler would never stand for poor service. The food quality wouldn’t change either, but they at least make you feel appreciated there.

Super let down by the margaritas on the rocks. Waaayyyy too sour, and all you can taste is the sweet and sour mix they used. The restaurant is cute and clean, service is good, and food came out in about 5 minutes! However, you could tell that they made my enchiladas beforehand and just threw some cheese and sauce on top and reheated it in the oven. How do I know you ask?! Well. My food came out just warm enough, not hot, and the cheese inside of my enchilada was still solid like a block, not cheesy melty. Gross. The best thing was the complimentary sopapillas. Unfortunately this place doesn’t set themselves apart from their competition with their food.

I absolutely love this place! They always have great deals going on and yummy food. I love eating Mexican food and this place is great. We usually order the chicken/beef fajitas or their fried tacos which are great too! Idk why people didn’t like this place it is great! You also get free sopapillas and ice cream! Can’t beat that!

Average… very average. I love Tex-Mex, but this one falls short every time. Wow… it’s just too salty. The extra star is for the good chips-n-salsa.

Very A-OK place. Food was not as good as some average restaurants food I have tried. There Chicken Fajita was very salty and rice not as well cooked. Getting three star for decent service though not exceptional and for bringing food fast(not sure if that is good thing always) Free Ice Cream is good sell here but not my thing for revisit.

Good tortillas and guacamole but otherwise gross. The food was bland, poor quality, and massively overpriced. The the building is poorly maintained with several leaking spots in the roof; water its literally just reaching into the restaurant all over the floor. I had to try very hard not to slip on the floor. The wait staff seemed uninterested in assisting our table. One waiter was even talking on his cell phone in front of our table. and to top it all off — I saw A RAT run across the ceiling after I ate my meal. I won’t be back

It’s not the best Tex/Mex in town, but their prices are so good, and it’s so close by! Thursdays are buy one get one enchilada dinner nights. On top of that, certain beers and margaritas are $ 2 each! I order one of each and make my own beerita. I recommend beef enchiladas with tomatillo sauce. You get to choose two sides, and I like chicken tortilla soup and Mexican rice the most. I do have to add that sometimes, they make one or the other side extremely salty– so maybe request them to be on the lighter sodium side. Drop your business card in by the door, because you may win a free lunch for two like I did this week. Sopapillas and ice cream are complimentary. Order the sopapillas from the waiter, and the ice cream machine is by the entrance. One thing I do not recommend are the beef fajitas here. The meat is too mushy, and it just doesn’t taste fresh. Stick with ground beef and chicken(I haven’t tried their seafood items, but given their beef quality, I wouldn’t get my hopes up). They have specials every weekday, and Mondays are ‘buy an adult entrée and get a kid’s entrée for free’.

*sighs* I tried giving it another go. Everything seemed pretty good at first. The waiter was on point and the drinks were good Then towards the end, we got our food. I ordered the sour cream tamales. They were decent, the rice was pretty dry and seemed a little on the crunchy side. I ordered another drink and it was just gross. It was so sweet and I could feel the syrup going down my throat. Our waiter had a friend come to visit and then he started slacking. When my boyfriend and I payed our tab, some waitress was pretty rude. It was a little after 10 and she tried reminding us that you guys close at 11. Yes we know this. We already paid our bill, can we just finish our meal? I mean we are paying customers. All in all, the visit was just ok. Won’t go back though. Sorry«/

I have never been a big fan of Posado’s Café. I have been a few times and while the food is not horrible, I just have other places I prefer to go. The service here always seems slow and they are not that busy. This get’s on my nerves, because when I am on a time constraint, watching employee’s walk around slowly on a non-busy day is not my favorite past time. Sorry! :) The staff is friendly and helpful… just slow. The food is A-OK. I will eat here if my friends vote to go here and I can’t change their minds. Uncle Julio’s though, I refuse to go there. So I am sure the food here will be to someone’s liking.
