I can’t figure this place out… The food is very good but they’ve been closed during listed business hours 4 out of the last 10 visits and won’t answer the phone. I’m interpreting this as an indifference to the customer.

As a vegetarian, I know that Indian and Mexican restaurants are the 2 that are most likely to have ample amount of options. This one combines both. Dare I say… Jackpot. NO! There was 1, yes One… Uno…Ek…, option for a vegetarian taco. Ok, no problem. Let’s see how it tastes. With all the different spice and flavor options that the Indian and Mexican cuisines have to offer, this should be really interesting, right? WRONG! The 1 vegetarian option, which was a mushroom taco, tasted like they went to a local Indian restaurant, picked up a dish of mushroom curry and threw it on a naan. Whoopadeedooo. The description mentioned a chipotle cream, but there was no hint of in it the flavors. Now, they do have the traditional vegetarian dishes found at other Indian restaurants like curries, biryani, etc… but this is advertised as an Indian-Mexican fusion. How can you fuse 2 of the most vegetarian friendly cuisines and have 1 fused option… and even that wasn’t a fusion dish. It’s like going to a Chinese-Thai restaurant and only having 1 noodle option, which ends up being a 25 cent ramen noodle package in which they added a bit of Peter Pan peanut butter… for you know… that Thai flavor. As a side note, I was surprised to see that they were using Styrofoam glasses for their fountain drinks. I mean the very thick Styrafoam glasses. That just seemed unnecessary.

Passed by accidentally and lucky me was looking for a place to eat something light before a meeting with customers. This is a family restaurant, ans they obviously have Indian flavors in form of tacos. Not only Indian– I had the brisket which was very good and also a mango lassi. Hope to go back soon to try other dishes. service is personal and nice(brother ans sister) plus the restaurant is cute and clean aaand inexpensive! winner!!!

I was pleasantly surprised when we stopped at this great little fusion place. Although I am not really accustomed to eating Indian food, the flavors were surprisingly wonderful when combined. Me and my boyfriend each got a taco plate which came with two tacos(any type) and a side of rice and tikka sauce. We also shared chips and some of the most flavorful salsa I’ve ever had. Very happy we decided to stop by, and Shardul was amazingly helpful and very attentive.

What sounds like a bizarre fusion of cuisines actually ends up being quite creative and delicious. The highlights of the menu are the«tacos,» which are open faced tortillas with Indian meat/curry/veggies. The combination works extremely well. Their traditional fare(like curry chicken) is also very good. You can’t review an Indian place(even a fusion one) without mentioning the all important naan and it does not disappoint. The kashmiri naan, which has fruits and nuts in it is absolutely amazing. Their garlic naan is also very tasty. I also tried the fish taco. It had a great deal of heat to it and did not require any sauce. Great place, I will be back!

We were at the Stonebriar Mall in Frisco and looking for something interesting that would be delicious, fast casual. The name pulled us in, and it proved to be just what the name suggested: Indian/TexMex fusion. If someone had suggested this blend to me, I would have told them they were nuts, but this is delicious! We ordered #s 1,2,3(because we plan to go back and work our way down the menu) and were gifted with #9 as it was that day’s special to get a free taco with a purchase. OK, it takes a lot to get us to Unilocal and tell others something is delicious, but we just felt you’d all want to know how delicious it is – and the owner deserves it. The food came out hot(one of my pet peeves is when it comes out cold) and the flavors were fabulous. The tacos were $ 2.99 and $ 3.99 each, +$ 2 for naan bread(which we did on one). Go. There. Enjoy. It’s. That. Good!

Food was edible! The tacos were only about half-filled and for 3 tacos @ $ 10, I don’t think that that is right. As a consumer, I think that they shorted me(and that was discounted)!!! ALSO, I BITINTO A BONE(I HOPE)! They didn’t even say that they were sorry. 1:30 on a Friday afternoon and I was the ONLY customer in the building. Now I know why and should’ve paid closer attention to the previous comments. Good luck to you.

I don’t know what was worse… the food or the service. Taco plate was barely edible. Chips and salsa came out at the end of the meal. Overall bad experience. Won’t be back.

Spicy indianized tacos for 2.99 Think rusty tacos but with tandoori style fillings. Good sports bar like ambience. We’ll be back.

I enjoyed the food here, but I do have to agree with several of the negative comments in the other review. The food is slightly above average, but I couldn’t get over the very loud music playing and the dive bar atmosphere. Those would work if I’m going out to shoot Jamison, but not for a fun niche taco place. The service is slow, but it is acceptable for the quality of the food. All in all, I would return to Tandoory, but I would have no reason to make a special trip out there.

This place is full of mass confusion. The service is just confused. It’s like they can’t tell if they want to be an order at the bar place or have a server take your order. The waiters run around trying to figure out some kind of system. It takes the kitchen a while to get the food out This place has promise if they management would get structure and order. The place was not that busy but it took a long time for the food. The seasoning was off on my tacos. I had the chicken and a beef taco. I can’t recall their exact names. I had a groupon and thought why did a spend my money. On a brighter note the location is big they have space for big parties.

It’s unique concept, but It wasn’t extra ordinary. I tried Brit and yolo. Yolo had well marinated chicken and chicken itself was flavorful but over all taco was just ok. Brit was just like some Frankie. I was dying to try this place but I won’t be driving 25min for ordinary taco. It is good lunch joint if you are staying in this area but nothing great.

What a unique concept, Indian food tacos… I had a beef fajita and grilled chicken. Both were amazing. Never had anything like it, good spice, great flavor. You have to check this place out

If I had to sum up this place in one word… Meh! My spouse was very keen on trying this place and despite the ho-hum reviews on Unilocal we decided to try it out. The location is great… the interior is well hard to pinpoint what they are trying to pull off. Its part sports bar, part Indian with mexican music… feels a little strange. Well since the place has the name Taco in it… we decided to order some. Ordered the Spitfire, Brit, Emperor and Maverick. None were exceptional… if you want to do this at home just get some Indian curries from your favorite to-go Indian place and put them in a flour tortilla with some onions or lettuce. These are not the kati rolls as the menu claimed… I have eaten those in India. They are thin nan or roti cooked in egg and then stuffed with chutneys, veggies and meats. That tastes amazing… this food was nothing like that. The presentation is horrible(aluminium foil even for dine in orders) and the prices a bit high for the portion size($ 2.99 to $ 3.99). If you want to replace the tortilla with nan that’s an extra $ 2(that would make it taste better but then its too expensive at 5 – 6 bucks a pop. Note to the management — If you really want this to succeed take note of the presentation from Torchy’s Tacos. Secondly if you want the tacos to taste good… start using nan instead of cheapo store bought tortillas for the same price. Third storing a slop bucket isn’t exactly very inviting in the dining room area. Judging by the sparse crowd on that Friday night, I don’t see this place surviving the year unless they make some changes. I know we won’t be going back.

A well deserved 4 stars. I have eaten here a few times now and think the food is wonderful. I don’t understand some of the low stars and mention of bland food. …I think it is delicious and very flavorful! I was really put off by the name at first as I love Indian food but the word taco made me think it might be a Mexican Indian fusion. Really these are chat wraps and lots different ones to choose from… some spicier than others. I am from England so used to good quality Indian food and I was really impressed with all the flavors here The restaurant itself is pretty basic.. Almost sports bar looking really but the wraps(taco) are outstanding. I have even gone by and picked up lots for a party after loving them myself and they were a great hit. Each time I have been the young staff have been great.. Really helpful the first time when I was trying to choose which ones to try. Location is right by stonebriar mall so rather than the really bland food court there I try stop here instead. Yummmm

LETSGETCRAZYFUSIONSTYLE… lol this place is interesting. If you took indian food, tacos, spanish music, and a sports bar and tossed it together and slammed it into a taco you would get tandoory taco. I had the Brit that was a tikka chicken with onions taco. It is one of their more popular tacos. I understand why it was pretty good. It didn’t blow my mind but it was good. I think I would go back to try out one of their many specialty nights.

Definitely not worth the money. $ 9.99 for a «taco plate» consists of two incredibly small tacos and a ramekin of Mexican rice. It took waaaay too long for our food to come out and when it finally arrived it was bland and dry. We had to go have a snack after our meal. I was highly disappointed with the entire experience here. I don’t see this place lasting for long with the kind of food and service they provide.

Not sure why so many mixed reviews but I really enjoyed this place and I dig the concept. Alex(owner) was super friendly and helped us make some good menu taco choices. The Mr. is afraid of Indian food but loves tacos so I was thrilled to get him in and try this place. We stopped in for lunch and used a Groupon to share 6 tacos and 2 fountain drinks. We were able to pick any any tacos so we went with the Chickpea, the surfer(2), YOLO, the Brit, and the spitfire. The meat was all flavorful and cooked well. Each taco was loaded with ingredients, def not skimpy. We ate and enjoyed them all but I loved the chickpea taco best and husband liked the surfer. The Mr. even shared my Brit taco(chicken tikki) and said he liked it! Okay, I might have told him what it was after he said he liked it :-). Their concept brings the spice/heat level down which is probably why he liked it. I would have liked it with more heat, but it was still yummy and flavorful. The restaurant itself is a decent size. Booths, tables, bar stools and patio seating. They offer a full bar and happy hour from 4−7pm, M-F. We’ll definitely return, especially now that hubs isn’t afraid of Indian food ;-)
