Friendly service and great frozen custard! I got the vanilla with pineapple’s and it hit the spot! The custard melts quick so you have to eat it fast but the mini size is really big and enough for 2 people to share!

Yum, Yum, Double steakburger with cheese — Yum! Love this place — fast, friendly service — and did I mention the yummy steak burgers?!

We came here after a movie just for dessert. I had the turtle sundae, and my wife had a plain shake. We both got Minis and they were plenty enough, especially my sundae. Couldn’t imagine having more than that. They should consider changing their sizes some, or adding a fourth even smaller size for those who really just want a bite. One thing to know if you want frozen custard — it is EXCEEDINGLY bad for you. You know, not just, «It’s dessert, it’s bad for you,» I mean, «Eat nothing but veggies and water tomorrow, this is bad for you!» So just be warned! All in all, I enjoyed it, but really when I thought about it it wasn’t any better than Dairy Queen or something similar. Next time I’ll have a DQ Blizzard — just a good, far fewer calories.

I LOVEFREDDY’S! Another hit that was catered by my job. They really know how to pick ‘em! So first time I tried the food was at work. The Freddy’s team actually brought in a giant fridge and hand scooped ice cream for us. We had all the toppings to choose from and hamburgers. Many were afraid to get two meat patties but you definitely need TWO because they are very thin. After talking about the food for weeks, my hubby finally took me to eat there and it was even better than the first time because I got to taste those delicious little fries! I just never know where to start when I see the menu. I have tried just about everything now and I got my husband hooked as well. We celebrated our one year anniversary at Freddy’s too and that’s saying something!

Can you say pricey? I think I paid $ 12 or so for a combo meal and a teeny, tiny concrete. The food isn’t bad… it’s standard. I hit the drive thru up because I NEEDED some real frozen custard — the thick and overly creamy goodness that makes your biggest problem seem small… yeah that. The custard was so not memorable. I tried the turtle concrete — I know… some of it is my fault because the caramel drowns out a little of the custard flavor, but still. The burger was just standard… it’s better than say, Wendy’s, & might even rival some place like Village Burger Bar — but still it was standard, I’m not dying to go back. My biggest criticism is the price. At the end of the day, it’s fast food, and it’s your standard burger/shake joint… don’t be charging arms and legs.

Went here to use up a living social deal I purchased and I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. We order a bunch of food and sampled it to get a good feel for the place. Double steakburger california style — YUM! The patties were super thin and had a crisp to em(but in a good way). The veggies were fresh and the bun was nicely grilled. Good combo with the cheese and the sauce. I would recommend getting a double though because the patties were super thin so if you got a single it might be hardly any meat. Hot dog — They use the hot dog buns with the flat sides and grill them(sort of like what they use on a lobster roll up north). That’s a plus in my book. Philly cheesesteak — Good flavor with melty cheese. Came with peppers and onions — I’d leave the peppers off next time, but that’s just me. I tried the hawaiin delight sundae and it was SO good. Vanilla custard with coconut, pinapple, strawberries and macadamia nuts. I tasted someone elses chocolate brownie delight concrete and it was good too, but mine was WAY better. I’ll be back Freddy’s!

Custard is very good. Philly cheese steak is surprisingly great. Thin fries are tasty. When we went, if you buy a kids shirt, they get a free kids custard every time they come wearing it.

I really, really like Freddy’s…I need to go here more often. The big draw for me here are the hot menu items, as opposed to the custard. Freddy’s specialty is their steakburger. Understand that this is not like a «normal» hamburger. The patties are thin, and when I say thin, I mean thin– they’re supposed to be. A double is the standard here, but they also serve a triple. The beef is so flavorful, and I love how it is ever so slightly crisped around the edges. Freddy’s serves addictive little shoestring fries, and really yummy onion rings. Other menu items include hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, chili, veggie burger, etc. They have an extensive menu of custard based desserts… I have to say that Freddy’s custard is just not my cup of tea. That being said, my fiancée really enjoys their concretes. It could be that, to this day, I am still mourning the loss of Sheridan’s(RIP). Never the less, I am perfectly content to come here for lunch and skip dessert. A very yummy change of pace indeed. Oh, and they play fun 50’s music! A side note: I see several people described Freddy’s as «expensive». Um? I don’t know what they’re ordering, but I’ve never noticed that to be the case. I’m a big cheapskate… trust me, I would notice.

I almost forget Freddy’s is there– the location is bad– kind of hidden from the main drag of restaurants on the far end near 121. I like the cheeseburgers here a lot. They are steak burgers, so it’s that super thin(kind of crispy edges) type of patty(think Steak & Shake). I always share the edges that hang off with our dog. They have shoestring fries that I can do without, but pretty darn good beer battered-type onion rings which I really enjoy(in moderation). They also have hot dogs which are tasty, and the buns are really good too– toast grilled into a bun. Delish! It’s always hard to choose between a burger or a dog there, but they have a combo with both if you are super hungry. The Custard is also good. I am a fan of the Turtle, but the chocolate one with the brownie is to die for too if you are in the mood for a chocolate fix. I’m not crazy about the prices. It is pretty expensive unfortunately. Like around $ 8-$ 10 per person when all is said and done. That’s a little steep for a fast food place that is slightly forgettable. With In-N-Out going in a few restaurants down, I really worry about this place. While the burgers are not the same style, INO is half as expensive. You’ll never have a wait at Freddy’s– that’s for sure, so hopefully people who don’t want to wait an hour outside or in the drive-thru at INO will discover Freddy’s and keep them in business. It really is pretty good. Also, they allowed my friend and I to set up a table to collect donations for Susan G. Komen as well as donated a percentage of the food sold on that day to the charity. You have to admire a business that helps the community.

I love the frozen custard here; very silky and delicious! Try the Chicago Dog while you are here. It’s a quick snack.

My husband and I stopped by here last night to try their custard. It was pretty good. I got vanilla with hot caramel sauce in a waffle cone. The vanilla custard was pleasant and not overly sweet, and I really enjoyed it in the beginning. However, the caramel sauce was overpoweringly sweet, and the contrast of slightly sweet and sickly sweet was not good for me. I couldn’t eat much of it. My fault for ordering that combination. My husband wisely ordered vanilla with strawberry and his was terrific, so I will definitely order one of the fruits next time. We’ll probably try them again when we’re in the neighborhood.

I wanted to try this for the longest time, and was a little let-down. I thought I was going to have custard, but it just tasted like frozen yogourt. sad. their burgers are pretty boring, and unsatisfying. i think i really liked their fries above all, and that is just sad. i later found out this was a chain, which explained everything.

This place is big on what it calls«steakburgers.» Which I don’t get, because the patties are so thin you have to order a double burger to feel normal. Also, what’s up with their signature burger not coming with lettuce or tomatoes? I can go to McDonald’s for that. But what I had tonight was about the most bland burger I can remember eating in years. Also, not a big fan of the matchstick fries. I like something a little more substantial. And the frozen custard was just so-so. I mean, it wasn’t awful, and it was clean and had fun décor, but you could certainly do better. In fact, the place is a very similar to Culver’s, except that fine establishment does it 10 times better. Lastly, who just opens a restaurant in TX and doesn’t sell Dr. Pepper?

Burgers are excellent. You really need a double since the patties are small, but they are yummy. The fries are good, and I usually hate fries. Way better than that in&out place! Family friendly.
