Actually a 3 ½ star place but a Solid 3 ½ so they got the 4 star great staff friendly attitude. I got some Beerocks and some potato salad to go I actually drove clear across town just because I had this craving for a Beerock. The place I used to go in Clovis is now gone. The food was a solid 3 ½ it was god but not Great. Maybe I’m just missing the corn dog and the 5th horse in the 3d race at the Fair to go with my Beerock that’s usually when I eat my annual Beerock. So the next time I’m craving a Beerock and the Fairs not in town I will take my long road trip across town and get me some more. Mm mm good.

I’ve alway loved the Ground Beef berrocks from here. I tried the Mexican berrocks today, and was impressed. They are very good. We will be back soon.

Customer service from cashier was terrible, is it really that hard to be nice and smile. Need to put a sign up stating you have a line order since one is not indicated anywhere before the cashier barks at customers for not being in line.

Good down home family recipe cooking. Never had a bad meal. Service is good most of the time. Desserts are tasty too. You can’t go wrong here. They are very accommodating on special orders also. This is one of Fresno’s gems.

Me and the hubby just shared the Turkey club, potato salad and macaroni salad. The sandwich was absolutely delicious. I’m not sure if they make there own rolls, but it tasted very fresh, the bacon was awesome and everything else on the sandwich was fresh and very tasty. The sides were also very good. Again, very fresh and the portions were more than enough to share. Dinner for two for under $ 20.00 that’s NOT fast food… hard to beat. Love this place and will be back soon.

The food is great. The prices are even better, it gets pretty packed in here. So get here early if you can.

The berrock shop is one of my favorite places to get hamburgers. I know right? No berrocks? Yes that’s exactly what I’m saying. Overall though their food is amazing. I have never had a crap meal, nor have I not had excellent service. They are awesome here and I recommend it to everyone.

Had the ground beef Berrock. It was delicious! Tasted like a hot dish my grandmother makes wrapped into a warm soft bun! The reason I gave this establishment a 4 instead of a 5 was because the«ambiance» is nonexistent and the customer service was average at best. I felt rushed to place my order, even though there was one other couple deciding what they wanted to order. Will probably be back to order the Berrock again though!

This place is addicting! The broccoli salad is by far the best. Cannot find anything remotely comparable. Burgers and fries are great. The ranch dressing… I could eat with cardboard!

Things have changed… probably not, must be me! The Berrock shop was on of my first Unilocal reviews, a somewhat glowing one at that. When you walk inside the aged atmosphere and sooty ceiling tile patina really tells you what the food will taste like… strange but so true. I like a little patina in a place as long as it’s a little café in a seedy part of Paris but at Bullard and West it’s just not happening. It’s been awhile since my last visit, this time around I tried both varieties of breakfast berrock and a couple of Chicken Pot pies. Berrock wise you really wouldn’t know what the internals were, no real breakfast flavor… personally a berrock stuffed with two poached eggs a good amount of gruyère cheese and maybe a slab of a good black forest type ham is what I had in mind. But what I got was more like a filling of diced up dried up omelette. Not tasty. Chicken Pot Pie was I admit must tastier than the Chicken Pie Shops rendition. The filling really is quite good, pastry wise could be lighter and flakier. Reason to go back. well not right now sir.

If you’re looking for a good turnover, this is the place. They’re made in house and have that flaky pastry crust. Apple and cherry are my favorite.

Yumm Yumm Yumm. Haha my first time there and it was awesome. I had the Mexican Berrock it was delicious. My boyfriend had the Italian which was even better than mine. I also had a peach turnover and a side of macaroni salad both great. The staff is fun and polite. They bring you your order which is also a plus. Haha overall a good experience. I’m definitely going to visit again.

Fantastic Fresno favorite. I love the shredded beef berrocks. Great to order by the dozen and freeze. My husband loves the chicken pot pie. He ate one everyday when he had the flu. Just that home cooked, filling goodness he needed. The turnovers are great for breakfast. I just want them egg washed and sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar to take them to the next level. Be prepared for lines at lunch, but they move pretty quick. The fries are better than McDonalds too! A+

Nasty. I ordered Beef Barley soup and it was thick, shiny, congealed into a snot(looking) consistency. Too disgusting to look at much less try and eat it. Shredded stringy beef, no noticeable barley; unless it had cooked down so much it was an indistinguishable part of the goo. Even worse was watching the cashier after she had finished waiting on a line of customers, and without washing her hands, and without putting on gloves, she pulled out rack after rack of beerocks, and one by one handled each and every one of them with her unwashed uncovered hands that had just been handling money/credit cards. Oh, and the racks of beerocks at her face level, she breathed directly on while touching them.

Friendly service! Deli-style ordering, so be sure to grab a menu to look over beforehand. I ordered the best chicken pot pie I’ve ever consumed! It also comes with a side of gravy if you’d like! Lots of chicken in the pie, but just wish there was a little more veggies. Delicious! Oh and the broccoli salad is fantastic and fresh!

Probably the only german deli/restaurant in Fresno and it is worth the visit because it is unique. What I like about this place is the unique food experience and that is Das German food! They are only open for breakfast and lunch so be aware of that. The way you order here is deli style, you order from the counter by looking at the menu above and they will serve you the food once it is done. I tried the minced beef bierrock which was extremely unique and delicious to its region of taste. I say this because I can’t compare it to other cuisine, it is unique to its own german culture food. The bread when it came was nice and hot with the softest texture, imagine biting into a soft pillow, thats how it feels like with your fist bite. The sides I ordered was the Broccoli and the coleslaw, both very nicely done and tasted very unique. I loved the food experience honestly. I paid $ 6 for my meal with water as my drink. The ambiance is not much here, its very tacky looking, but come here for the food and not the ambiance. It is clean enough that is all that matters, few tables not bussed, but can’t blame them they are very busy. service was not too bad, not the friendliest but they were busy so thats forgiven. Come early my best advice and ask what to order if your not sure. My recommendation is the minced beef bierrock and the broccoli and coleslaw, absolutely delish, and a must visit if your in Fresno, because its so unique, I don’t think you can find this in any other cities.
