Owner of this establishment is a complete jackass. We complained about dish and he came out from the kitchen yelling at my whole table. Saying that we are telling him how to do his job. Well asshole if you cooked the food right the first time we wouldn’t have had to complain. Never coming here again.

Jennifer, who previously commented, hit it spot on! Great local restaraunt with an amazing menu selection! The cashew chicken was an excellent choice and was enough for 3 people. I recommend trying this place out. There is a wide menu selection with plenty to choose from. And when you’re done, there’s a great massage place next door.

Sadly this place has really changed. Ordered food the other night and were shocked. Food tasted old, some of it somewhat rancid. Much smaller portions — but much higher prices. Terribly disappointing. Won’t go back.

The egg foo young sucks !! It was like eating a bad tasting pancake. The egg foo young sauce was all cornstarch !! The fried rice with egg, smelled like smelly feet. Only thing good that I had was the water and the soda !!

We love picking up take-out from Jimy Wen’s. It’s hard to find quality Chinese food in the valley. Jimy doesn’t use MSG and the dishes aren’t greasy or laden with heavy, sticky glazes/sauces. The flavors are light, the portions are huge, and the variety is fantastic. Orange chicken is delightful but my absolute favorite are the lettuce wraps! Just delicious. The shrimp chow mein is full of shrimp, something you don’t see often in restaurants that offer seafood. The older female waitress, who I believe is Jimy’s wife, is so so nice. We like supporting local businesses that treat us like family and the fact that the food is great is just an added bonus!

If your looking for americanized Chinese food — orange chicken, cashew chicken, kung pao and etc; this is the right place for you, but if your looking for real authentic Chinese dishes, this maybe the wrong place for that; I would suggest Hunan or New city for that kind of experience. Nevertheless for the Americanized Chinese food it serves and try to be, the taste of their food is pretty decent, and their portion is pretty big for the price. Prices of dishes here is under $ 10. The highlight of this place is the elderly woman who happen to be the server/hostess, her hospitality is just awesome, her sweet, soft spoken and polite personality uplifts this place for sure. Credit cards, debit card is accepted, while parking is very easy to score. They also have wine and beer selection, limited of course. The interior is not too bad, quite nice for a Chinese restaurant, which here means its not tacky. The service was pretty fast, time I waited for my to go food was 10 minutes so it isn’t too bad. Alright so I ordered the Moo Goo Gui Pan, $ 9.45. The portion itself was generous with chicken, vegetables(carrots, water chestnut and broccoli and mushrooms). Its perfect to be shared between 2 person. The taste as I mentioned is very american, where its on the salty side and also doesn’t appeal to my taste buds because the auntehtic flavor of the dish is absence. The sauce appears to be darker here, while the authentic version has a silky white color. A little background — Moo Goo Gai Pan is actually a classic Chinese stir-fry dish. It’s a popular Cantonese version of a simple chicken and mushroom dish stir-fried in a tasty white sauce. In the Cantonese dialect, Moo Goo means mushroom and Gai Pan means chicken slices. Chicken and mushroom are always a great combination.

Jimmy Wens is one of the best Asian fusion Chinese restaurants in the Fresno area. There are a handful of excellent Chinese places in town, and Wens is at the top. Very comparable to some of the best chefs in San Francisco. I’ve noticed that a lot of people in Fresno(not just the older people) order ‘Chow Mein, or Fried Rice or the American versions of these dishes, sad, when there is so much freshly prepared wonderful lovely dishes to explore.

My new favorite all around Chinese restaurant. Food is very good, cooked well and fresh but the service puts it over the top. So incredibly sweet and welcoming. It was a lovely, relaxing, delicious experience.

Omg omg omg. Found my new favorite chinese place. Location looks high end and clean. Not to many ppl either. But the food… so amazing. Try the orange chicken with tradtional pork chow mein… to die for. I will come back and try the entire menu. The wife and i recently moved to north fresno and want to try all the great chinese places. We love a few other places but this one stands out. My #1 is Jimy Wens, then hunan #2 then china bistro #3 then golden dynasty #4 then imperial palace #5 will be trying more places…

I actually ordered food to-go from here one day. I really enjoyed how sweet Karen was and just the décor/ambience of the place. The paintings were absolutely gorgeous. But as far as the food goes… Their orange chicken was really, REALLY greasy, even though the menu says it’s very lightly fried. The chicken chow mein was pretty good but somewhat bland. I think I’ll have to try other things off the menu and actually eat in to make a final decision on the food.

The best Chinese food around. Prices are way fair, service is second to none, and the food is incredible. Everytime we leave, we talk about how great this place really is. Try it out and see for yourself… you won’t regret it.

Didn’t order anything special. walked in and did an order to go last week on a Friday. Ordered beef chowmein… tasted normal. not bad nor did it completely wow me. Ordered chicken fried rice. looked super plain due to no added veggies like the usual colorful peas and carrots, but it was different in that they used white(black) pepper for seasoning so that stood out. chicken was breastfeeding only so it was a little dry in the rice. Also ordered spicy chicken with veggies. wasn’t all that spicy, nearly. had had a sour taste to it from either vinegar or the bamboo shoots in the mix were on the sour side. overall, it was okay. would probably return to try something new. but it is a little costly compared to other places. but the quantity is there for the most part. Total cost turned out to be around $ 26 – 28 after taxes… If I remember correctly. The lady(owner/wife) was nice; didn’t treat me like most Asian places do just because I’m Asian; this is sometimes rare. on a different note, I inquired about catering. they do it. fried rice and chowmein at half a tray starts around $ 28 and the highest cost for a full tray of whatever entrée you want runs up to about $ 89; it varies.

Panda Express, look out! A contender for the worst«chinese» restaurant/experience ever. At least Panda’s marginal experience is intended. Jimy Wen’s falls short in too many categories to be forgivable. The to-go experience illustrated in short: 8 minute wait for acknowledgement. We were about to leave but it was an old OLD lady, and you could only feel bad if you leave after she finally arrived. 40 min wait for food. The old lady kept wondering if my wife and I were paying together. Why? I mean, aren’t we passed that now?! She even asked if I wanted to pay first. The chicken in my wife’s chicken salad was the same crispy chicken purchased from Costco. Which is good from Costco, marginal from a restaurant.

UPDATE9÷27÷13 Ordered the Chicken Hot & Sour soup for $ 6.25-Excellent!!! _________________________________________________ This was a great find This is a smaller restaurant that has both Chinese and Japanese influence in it’s decorations and music. They mainly serve popular Chinese dishes but also have Thai and Japanese choices on their menu. I found the décor and use of their floor plan to be appealing. It is a very clean and the temperature inside was perfect for me. I ordered the House Special Won Ton soup and it was presented piping hot. Now please hear this… This is the best Won Ton soup I have had for the following reasons: Presented hot The Shrimp, Chicken and Pork were large and perfectly cooked. Most of the other places put the shrimp, Chicken and Pork inside the pot of soup in the kitchen and it overcooks, and they just dish it up from there, thus leaving the Shrimp, Chicken and Pork hard. I don’t think it is done this way here. I believe(from the texture and flavor) that the broth is placed into another pot, just for that persons order, and then the large Shrimp, Chicken and Pork is added to that and warmed just to the point of them being cooked enough to serve. This also goes for the Pork inside the Won Ton’s…very delicate, not hard and dense that I have had at other restaurants. The prices are very reasonable and they are even open on Monday’s but closed Sunday’s

Intimate, well appointed dining room in a strip mall shopping center. Menu offers a good selection. Food is very well done. The hot and sour soup is wonderful on a cold winter’s night when one feels a cold coming on. Service is quick and efficient as well as friendly.
