Really good dim sum and lunch specials. Never super crowded. The chef used to work in a popular restaurant in SF. my parents say it’s as good as any place in the Bay Area

Working in a new area so figured I’d give this local place a try. I had such high hopes! I got the B combo special which was pork chow mein, veggie fried rice, and orange chicken. The fried rice tasted… Off. Like plastic-y? The chow mein noodles were both mushy and very crispy, no flavor. I did enjoy the bbq pork in the chow mein and the veggies. The chicken for the orange chicken had a weird breading. It was like corn meal? The orange sauce was good with pieces of orange in it. I’m unsure why this place was rated so highly. Ya cut me deep, Unilocalers.

This is one of those hidden Chinese Food places that you find by accident which was the case for me. I discovered this place like 5 years ago and have been coming here ever since! Great food and great service I highly recommend them alsp very reasonable prices!

I really wanted to like this place. The owner, I’m assuming was quite friendly. The food isn’t colorful; I ordered veggie chow mein & it looked pale. When the food looks blah it tastes just as blah. No flavor whatsoever.

Top notch authentic dim sum on the weekends. It is consistently fresh, and always delicious. Downsides are that the selection is small, and the restaurant ambiance is that of a fast food Chinese joint.

It was my first time coming here and I thoroughly enjoyed it! They had a cute little chime that welcomed you when you opened the door, and the cashier was pleasant. I was warned before hand to get a half order since their regular portions are HUGE! And for a great price too! And they make it to order so you know it’s fresh! Usually most Chinese places only offer you steamed rice as a free side, but they offered that AND fried rice or noodles! I love the variety of options! Their orange chicken was delicious! Nice and crispy, but not super greasy and doughy! And I love that they put their tangy sauce on the side so you can choose how much you want in each bite! Overall I really enjoyed the food and would come back again. ^___^

The quality of food is average; however, the price is deceitful. The owner is not friend and not honest on prices.

A tacky looking Chinese restaurant that isn’t the best but cheap and average tasting. The Chinese food was not horrible, but they flavor and taste could be improved, I ordered the beef, which was too salty, portions were nice, but I have seen larger portions at other Chinese fast food place. The owner was nice.

Hole in da wall! This place has some awesome food. My hubby enjoys the curry chicken. The owner knows us well now. You get good food at a good price. You also get massive portions and you’ll have leftovers… maybe.

I got the fried shrimp, fried rice, and vegetable pork chow mein. It was just okay. The chow mein had way too many vegetables and was a little slimy. The fried shrimp and fried rice were okay but only okay. If I had to choose I probably won’t be back but that’s not to say it was necessarily a terrible experience, but again just okay.

My thing is mostly take-out, so I’m not the one to comment on décor or ambiance. I have had takeout here several times now and each time I am impressed with the flavor, quantity and price of the food. I will return regularly!

My wife and I wandered into Imperial Express about eight years ago on a Friday night waiting for my son to finish a hip hop class he was taking in a nearby now defunct studio. We didn’t expect much. I’ve been going every Friday ever since. If I miss my routine, Keith, who runs the front counter, asks me where I’ve been. I order the same thing: kung pao chicken over noodle. It’s a big spicy. And I am addicted. I’ll admit it. I’m not ashamed. I have just the one meal a week. I usually get two barbecue pork buns on the side. It’s a lot of food and the prices are quite reasonable. Actually they’re on the low side. I could eat there every day of the week. If I were a single guy, I probably would. So if you head there on a Friday, between 6 and 7 p.m., I might see you. There’s a bunch of us regulars.

I have been to many dim sum serving location, but I have never had dim sum so freshly served. The location might not be impressive, but from what I’ve learned is the food is what matters. I came in not expecting to be blown away but right when the food came to the table I loved it.

This has always been my goto place to get chinese takeout, but lately they have been really hit and miss. There seems to be two methods to making food. When the younger girls are working the register, the food always comes out perfect and delicious. However when the older guy is at the register, who I am assuming must be the owner, the food never comes out the same. I have ordered dishes that I have got many times before and it comes out completely different. The last time I went he was working and I got mongolian beef, which is the dish I get most frequently. Instead of having the tasty sauce that they normally have, it just had some gross super salty sauce on it instead, it tasted nothing like mongolian beef. And every time this happens, he is working the register. I don’t know if this is coincidence or what, but the inconsistency has kind of put me off from going, the last few times I have gone out of my way to go somewhere else, just because I don’t want to risk the chance of getting a bad meal. I feel bad too because everyone there is super nice, but it gets harder and harder to go back. :(

This place is really good! Nothing to look at on the inside, but lets be frank if it tastes good, do we really care about the ambiance? Me either. I had the popcorn Szechuan chicken. It has a perfect spice to it, not to hot and not to mild. I do enjoy very spicy food though. This dish is served with a choice of steamed rice, fried rice, pan fried noodles or a combo of two. Very large serving at a price of about $ 8. Can’t beat that for the amount of food. I was going to break it up for two meals but I just couldn’t stop eating it. Food was prepared extremely quick and came out in less than 5 minutes. It was so fresh and hot, the bag that it was brought out to me in was hard to hold since it was so fresh. I’d recommend this place to any Chinese food lover.
