The hostess not much of one was rude when we came in to wait for a table. Never acknowledged us, look down the whole time said«wait» not please wait but«wait» came over told us to wait again took another customer to cash out then finally came back still looking down and said follow me. Her name is Ariana, working on Jan 16th2016 at 12pm. That is not what a hostess should be doing. She never smiled.

BADBADBAD!!! Just walked out after waiting 20 min with no Acknowledgment!!! It wasnt even busy!!! Waiters just walking by without saying anything. At least a «hello weel be right with you» no. To make it worse the manager was attending paying customers and saw us sitting there. Must have made eye contact 5 times and didn’t say a thing. There was no hostess at the door. And workers standing around chatting. we decided to leave to another dennys lets see how that goes. If the wait was that long. Couldnt imagine the wait for our food. This place does not even deserve one star. Horrible customer service, which began at the door. My friend and I were standing outside waiting to be seated and there were two other customers behind us. The person who was seating people asked both customers behind us and told them to wait while ignoring us. This happened twice so the person behind us finally told them that we have been waiting before them. Anyhow, we finally get seated. Our server was Desire, who took our order after 20 mins. We ordered chicken nachos, chicken and sausage quesadilla, coffee, hot chocolate, French toast and pancake puppies. Only thing that was good was coffee and French toast! When we got our food, we had no utensils and no sauce of any kind. We asked our server for salsa, hot sauce and pico de gallo. We waited almost 7 mins for that as our food was getting cold. I got up and got the utensils and got hot sauce. Five minutes after i had already gotten the utensils and sauce, our server comes back with salsa and said we are out of pico de gallo. Totally understandable. However, please have the courtesy to let us know before we get our food. Below are pictures of our food. We were starving and Denny’s was our only option in the area. I have been to other Denny’s in Fresno and never had any problem. In future, I would never come back to this location.

I was compelled to leave my first review for Denny’s and that too because the service was THAT bad. Never have I felt so unwelcome. Came in at 1127 p.m. and we were served at 12:39 a.m. Ordered the chicken quessadilla which was alright. It was supposed to come with Pico de Gallo and ranch. They never brought the ranch, and afterwards told us they were out of pica de gallo. Our nachos were only served with chicken cheese and loads of sourcream. Which was discusting. The hot chocolate I ordered had chucks of dry powder, which wasn’t mixed very well at all. No utensils were served. Overall, Desire gave us a horrible experience. All it takes is a smile to turn it all around. The table right next to us were served within 20 minutes by the way. Thanks for making us feel so unwelcome.

I came to Denny’s yesterday at 12:30 in the afternoon to meet a friend for lunch, and I do not think I will ever be brave enough to come here again to this location, after the experience. After entering the door, I could not find a host nearby. A host was not present at either the cash register or the podium to welcome me when I walked in. So, figuring they were busy, I sat patiently on the bench waiting for a host to arrive. When one finally did arrive even though she saw me waiting there on the bench. Rather than greeting me, she ignored me and greeted a new group that had just came through the door and escorted them to a table. When she returned, I thought this time she would greet me for sure and acknowledge my turn, but I was dead wrong– because she decided to help another couple who had finished their meal and approached the cash register AFTER I had arrived and AFTER the previous group mentioned above were seated. I was finally acknowledged and greeted after there was no one else there standing there. I was given the booth closest to the private room located next to the kitchen. Not more than two minutes passed after being seated that my friend and I were attacked and constantly swarmed by flies. Yes, your read that correctly, «FLIES.» I even mentioned this to my waitress before my food had arrived that the flies landing on my table, forehead, and beverage were bothering me. But she just dismissed my concern.(See photos) At no point in time did my waitress ever ask to move us to another table nor did she ever offer to swat the flies for us. It was quite the contrary, instead, she told us that the flies near this table usually bother everyone seated here and joked about it. Needles to say the service was less than pleasant here. The only positive thing there is to say about this dining experience is that I did not have any issues with the actual food. The food was good and delivered warm to the table– I just had to devour my steak and eggs before the flies did. Anyone who reads my Unilocal reviews will know that it takes a lot to earn a poor score from me and I am always reluctant to give such a low one. It just seems to me that this waitress was indifferent to whether I would enjoy a pleasant dining experience. This place is in need of a health inspection and a hands-on management staff to cure it from its lack of customer service. Denny’s was pretty much asking for this one-star this one-star review– and by-golly’– they got it.

Don’t attempt this Denny’s if you are having a bad day, having severe period cramps or in a rush to go somewhere, because this location of America’s favorite diner will test your patience to the max, the food here is just as good as any other denny, but the wait is atrocious. I say this, because my patience was tested, its a good thing I was in a good mood and I was here for just dessert. Upon entering I had to wait 10 minutes to be seated because the hostess felt answering the phone for 10 minutes was more important than seating the customer right in-front of her. I felt bad for the other 3 people behind me, having to wait even longer than me since I was first in line. I have to say the service once seated was excellent. My server Nicole was very prompt, genuine and helpful. My sundae $ 2.99 included 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream, hot fudge and pecans was generous in portion. This was the only occasion in which the pecans was generously served on my sundae at Denny’s, I have to give props to my server for doing that. Its a good thing the service was good while dining, because once again while having to pay, I had waited for another 5 minutes at the counter to get some attention to be tendered. Therefore, if you have a lofty amount of time to spare, m this denny’s would work just fine, but for anyone grumpy or in a rush, please avoid this denny’s at all cost.

Worst service I have ever had! Waited 10 min to be acknowledged and seated, waited another 15 min to have our drink and food order taken, waited 25 min for our food to come and it was cold. The waitress Jessica was rude and rolled her eyes and had to be asked 3 times before we got something we asked for. Would not recommend if it was free!

So this place loses a star. I hate giving a bad review to Denny’s because normally I really love this restaurant but the last two times I’ve been here have been complete crap. The last time we never even got seated… my party and I just walked out and went to ihop where we got much better service. This time I am writing the review sitting in the restaurant and I’m honestly getting more irritated the longer I sit here. Our waitress is clearly tired of life at Denny’s…hey honey if your life sucks so bad than work to change it but in the mean time don’t take it out on your customers. My boyfriends mom ordered the strawberry pancake puppies and they came out hard as a rock and black burnt. I asked the waitress… um is that how they are supposed to look? She was like… well yeah that’s how they usually come out. I banged it on the table and it made a loud thunk on the table… she also ordered a side of toast and that never came so she couldn’t even eat her food. Just really frustrating

Eh… Not the best visit. I love Denny’s, I love their food, and I was very optimistic as we were enthusiastically greeted upon entering. They were the busiest I’ve ever seen them too! The restaurant smelled funny to me… Kinda«hospitally»…I don’t know how else to describe it. The table was clean. Service was pretty quick considering how busy it was. My husband ordered clam chowder and the chicken Caesar salad. They brought out the soup first… The smell of intimate me nearly throw up… But he thought it tasted good… So okay. I ordered the fit slam. My tomatoes tasted funny like they were mushy and gonna go bad…, my fruit was frozen, and I had to ask three times for butter for my English muffin. When I would talk to our waitress … Whether when ordering, requesting butter, answering her question on if I wanted dessert, she never made contact. It was awkward… So it wasn’t a horrible visit… But I was definitely let down. :(

Worst Dennys experience ever. Arianna the hostest never came to waiting area extension so she wasted 20 minutes of our time for no reason other than being lazy then she blamed it on us. The manager didn’t seem to care. The manager didn’t even remember we complained when we left. Paula our server was great & food was good. Bathroom was atrocious. No paper towels. We toilet paper, the whole roll. Full garbage cans. Trash all over the floor. I will never patronize this location again.

As a loyal customer to this dennys location for over a decade, I was disappointed in the service from one of the hostesses working Thursday nights. My guest and I waited to be seated, but this employee continued to ignore us after making eye contact and seated other customers that walked in after us even us in addition with all their party members not present as well. After about 30 mins of waiting, we decided to leave. Whether or not the act of the employee was discriminatory, and whether or not she helped the bigger parties in order to get larger tips, I am beyond embarrassed and frustrated with the situation. If you want better service, don’t go to this Denny’s when the woman working Thursday nights at the front desk is there, as she will make you feel unwanted.

Horrible service… got there and the restaurant was slow. Ordered food to-go and ended up waiting 45 minutes. When our food came our desserts were not included. The manager– who handed us our food — said«oh she didn’t tell me before she left»…I’m assuming he was talking about the girl who took our order. He was visibly annoyed, not with her but with me. When he brought our desserts he gave me the worst milkshake I’ve ever had. Don’t know why I keep coming back. Service is always super slow.

To simply put it: The worst Denny’s in the Fresno/Clovis area. And by worst I mean the food is awful. The preparation of your food is a direct reflection of how much of a crap the cooks give about there job. This is more of a frustrated review for me since this is my second time in 2 months coming to this location and the results were seen to be parallel. Customer service/wait time: 3⁄5 My family(party of 3) and entered to a vacant waiting area with no one to greet us. Waitress at the register was counting her drawer but, not even so much as a hello. There ‘no booths available’ so we voluntarily waited for one(which wasn’t a problem). After we ordered the food arrived fairly quickly. Food: −5÷5 Luckily, our food was hot off the grill, or maybe microwave. My flap jacks and my wife’s Super Bird tasted like Lysol was sprayed on the grill in substitution of the cooking spray. The French fries tasted like fish and nothing of bread or batter was thoroughly cooked. Definitely won’t be back.

Came here with some friends(for a total of 6) the other night for some food. Service started alright, got our drinks and orders placed in a timely manner. Then things started to go bad. One of our appetizers, the nachos, seemed to be great, until we got deeper in, and nearly all of the chips were completely soggy and limp. Still tasty, but not what you’d expect. Then, when my friends’ steaks came out, they were completely tough, dry, and white. All three had ordered medium rare. These steaks were overly well done. Hardly edible. When brought to the attention of a manager(the waitress, seeing the uneaten food, asked if we were ready for boxes…), they decided to re-cook them. Any by re-cook, I mean they cooked the new steaks for maybe a couple of minutes and called it good. They were completely raw inside, and were warm at best. I wish I had gotten pictures. I often joke that I like my steak when it still moo’s, but this was absolutely ridiculous. For one of their most expensive items on the menu, you’d think they could get it right! When brought to the attention of the waitress, she apologized, said that the chef was tired, and went to put them on the grill for a while longer(which as my friends had already taken bites out of, isn’t that against health code? I’m not sure.) Third time wasn’t quite the charm, the steaks were now brought closer to «rare» status(still not the medium-rare requested), but edible. Everything else was so-so. My pancake puppies weren’t too pretty and looked like they were fried too long, but were still tasty, so there’s that. And all in all, we only got 10 or 15 percent taken off of our 100+ bill. If I was the one paying, I would have demanded the steaks be comped entirely, but it was a friend’s treat. We will definitely be going to a different location in the future.

Just had breakfast and i couldn’t help it feel like the waitress that helped us wasn’t happy well all the servers except one. With that said; Service was not good we were only asked once how we were doing i needed a few things but our waitress was nowhere to be seen. Can’t really review the meal… As I never got to order it! I work nearby and we order out often… When I called to place my to go order I was immediately placed on hold. I was on hold for 10 whole minutes! Then I was hung up on!!! I immediately called back and was added to hold again… This time I said no! Told them what had just happened and that I would not be ordering from them now… The lady on the other end of the phone just said«oh… Ok.» Nice Denny’s… Great service… Not!

Had absolutely terrible service every time I have gone here. My girlfriend and I have gone to dinner here and given this place the benefit of the doubt many times. I don’t even know where to begin. She orders the Bacon Slam Burger and the bun is always wet and soggy. The servers seem lost half the time. They have checked up on us once and then we never see them again. It wasn’t even busy at the time. We had to flag people down for a refill. Even going as far as walking to the front of the restaurant just to get our check(even that took forever). Tonight we walked in and there were very few people there eating. We get seated and order an appetizer(Smothered Cheese Fries). My girlfriend again ordered the Bacon Slam Burger and I ordered the Macho Nacho Burger. We got our drinks and finished them before we got our food. Our server walked by us twice and didn’t ask if we wanted a refill. The third time she walked by she only asked me if I wanted a refill, completely ignoring my girlfriend’s empty drink. She returned with my drink and still ignored my girlfriend. We waited some more and I again finished my drink. The manager came by and he gave us our appetizer and entrees and the same time. He was about to leave when I stopped him and asked if I can get a refill. He said okay and I had to remind him that my girlfriend needed one too. He came back later with our drinks Our appetizer didn’t come with the ranch dip(again) and my burger didn’t even have chili on it. The manager came to ask if everything was okay and I asked if my burger was supposed to have chili on it. He asked what I had and said he wasn’t sure and that he would be right back. He left before I could even ask about the ranch dip. He returned with a tiny saucer with chili in it. I’m fed up with the service at this restaurant and will never be returning here. I’m surprised I even paid for our«meal».

I’ve always had a soft spot for Denny’s, but why review a random Denny’s in Fresno that I will most likely never visit again? Because of our server Mike! He was pro in ever way, friendly, businesslike, fun, and made my visit to Denny’s with 10 high-schoolers a joy! — Mike got our orders right to the T and even split the orders for different parties. We never had to remind him of anything. — He made sure all of our high school guys who ordered the all-you-can-eat pancakes had a constant flow of pancakes. I don’t think they ever asked for seconds on their own — only in response to his«You guys want more?» — He did this while juggling 4 – 5 other tables and never was rude or complained. We never felt ignored. Mike should be promoted to Denny!
