This is my favorite Indian restaurant in Fresno. I have been numerous times within the past couple years. They have remained consistent, which I love. The customer service is actually spectacular. There are people who smile at you because they have too… But here, everyone is very kind. Their smiles combined with their warm greetings give you the genuine impression that they are delighted to see you at their restaurant. A feeling like this, combined with delicious food of course, is what makes me give a place five stars. Can’t wait to go back :)

This is a truly a gem of place. It is an authentic indian but the only south indian cuisine in the whole valley. Service is great. Jack fruit Briyani is absolutely fabulous and it is best tasting vegetarian biryani I have tasted. The vedas, dosas and idlis are perfect too. I can bet you will not find this anywhere. I am so glad this place exists.

The food was amazing! It was hot when we got it, just the right amount. I wouldn’t take You’re 90 year old grandma she would trip out on the surroundings. Not the cutest of places but it’s not there for looks. I come here often! Good for like a double date or just two people so you can really get the feel for the food.

Another great local restaurant, with a great family atmosphere. We sat down and felt like we were guests in their home, with their«Sit anywhere» welcome. We were given a minute to review the menu and our order was taken. The place was busier than we expected for a Thursday night, but that was a good sign! Despite being busy, our water glasses were never empty and our service was great. Once our food arrived it was time to dig in, and did we! Everything was so flavorful, fresh, and spiced perfectly at just the right temperature. It’s not a fine dining kinda place, it’s a family restaurant with great food and a relaxed atmosphere. We will be returning soon for sure!

Went in for a lunch buffet. Food was cold… mostly runny and tasteless! The mutter paneer was missing paneer… which is the main ingredient! The naans were cold when brought to our table! Wouldn’t go there again!

I had a great first experience here. I was unsure what to order at first, but my waitress was so helpful in describing practically every item on the menu for me. She pointed out which spices were used in the dishes and how the dishes were made healthy. She was very knowledgeable and knew how every menu item tasted and how they were prepared. I started my first dinner at Brahma Bull with Curry Chicken, Matar Paneer, Vegetable Rice, And some Garlic Naan. Oh, and a Butter Chicken Dosa, how could I forget the Dosa. It was my first time trying the crêpe style appetizer that was enough for some to have as a meal. It had every texture and flavor you can think of and came together like a song in my mouth. It was a beautiful thing. I will definitely be back to try most likely every other Dosa on the menu. Everything I ordered had a presence of it’s own and came together for a great full-flavored meal. The restaurant offers a wide array of chutneys that complimented every item well. I am very excited to return for their lunch buffet to try a variety of their South Indian specialties.

Southern Indian restaurants in Fresno is quite rare, there are actually only two of right now and Brahma Bull happens to be one of them and although not amazing, this restaurant is actually decent. Indian cuisine is very broad, rich and diverse, categorizing them as just north and south is actually too limited, however to make things easy I will keep it that way, I know most people would say, they are just the same and they can’t tell the difference, isn’t indian food just curry and bread? Well yes and no. The variety Brahma Bull serves as I mention is southern indian. Southern Indians dishes most commonly include rice and coconut in their dishes, as rice is the staple crop in South India. Coconut is used to make various kinds of chutneys, and curries. A mix of rice and lentils are used to make the most popular food of the South; dosas and idlis. Seafood dishes are also commonly found in the South. In comparison to north, dishes in the south are considered healthier as they do not include rich creams and ghee. Southern dishes can also be vegetarian and non-vegetarian. South Indian dishes are much spicier than northern dishes. There are some northern dishes served here too like tandoori chicken and chicken tikka masala, however if you would like to savor the flavors from the south, here is what you would order: Dosa, Vada, Thali, Idli and Briyani. The dishes served at Brahma bull is good, but as I mentioned its maybe not amazing. I should aforementioned that Im from Malaysia, and the southern indians happens to be the third largest race in my country, and with that comes the introduction of its food to the country. I was fortunate enough to understand the authentic taste and try the variety of cooking styles while in my country, and sure its hard for Brahma bull to be good as those, but I must admit that they are doing a great job of representing southern indian food. I personally had many experiences here and it been great, but I will share my most recent dining experience. I ordered aloo paratha $ 3.95 and spinach dhal; $ 10.95, which was from the vegan menu. Both dishes were delicious. The aloo paratha which is a wheat bread stuffed with spiced potatoes is really delicious and very healthy, while the spinach dhal was very smooth and made with real fresh spinach. My biggest complaint would be the price, some dishes like the vegetable dishes is far too expensive for just vegetables, I wished it was more in the $ 5-$ 7 range so I could order more and have more things. The vegetable dishes is just as pricey as the meat entrees. I do love the décor here and I think its fair to say that this is by far one of the nicest looking Indian restaurants in Fresno. In a nutshell, great little place to have southern Indian flavors in fresno, but do not expect it to be the best you ever had in your life.

If you desire the highest quality, freshest, and most authentic Indian food outside of North India this is the place to go. We have tried many Indian restaurants throughout California through the years and this establishment has been the most consistent and delicious. Service is great, the buffet is hot and fresh, and you can guarantee you will go home full at the very least. Try everything. There is nothing here that is not worth trying. Love it.

Seems like they’ve gotten new ownership(again). The food is amazing again, the restaurant is super clean, the got new high chairs for the kids with buckles that lock, I’m super impressed. We’ve been back 3 times since the big change, it’s become our favorite restaurant again. The service has always been great, the chef comes out and cares about how the food is, if everyone is happy, and what the favorites are at the time. Our favorite time to come is during the buffet, our kids dig in and our son especially likes the tandoori BBQ chicken. If you are going on a regular night and need to order off of the menu, I would suggest the chicken tikka masala, and the samosas! They come with a mint cilantro dipping sauce that’s TDF. You can’t go wrong with anything they offer though. Delicious!

This was the first place I ever tried Indian food, I had a date night with my best friend Jesse and he said this family joint was the spot to lose my ‘Indian food virginity’! I was here quite a bit ago and haven’t been back recently, however I remember the workers were all extremely friendly. I believe we had the children of the family as our waiters and was surprised what a great job they did with providing customer service. It truly shows the dedication to the family and how close they are to one another! The food was awesome though of course, we had snagged some naan(of course) and a potato dish with some green peas. I know we ordered so much more but I was just gobbling down that only and I’ve been obsessed with that dish since!

We still drive an hour and a half for this food, once or twice a month. My husband is North Indian and he says it’s the most authentic and consistently good food around since being home. The valley is swamped with burger and taco choices, it’s a nice change to have some real spice. Indian foods have been Americanized in most places and are dull or taste old. We never feel bad about eating here. Always healthy. Always good. Always freshly made.
