food here is pretty good, and the portions are gigantic. my mom likes the grilled pork rice plate here, and i got the bun w/pork and shrimp. it was huge, and i took half of it home. a couple glitches: my bro ordered the seafood crispy noodles, but they got the order wrong and gave him one w/meat instead. the spring rolls here were also not filled w/much — maybe one or two shrimp per roll.

phở! I get the create your own with beef broth, extra noodles, brisket and shrimp. I also smother it with Sriracha! The appetizer spring rolls and fried egg rolls are good too. I usually come here after a long work day or if I feel a cold coming on and it hits the spot! The restaurant is clean and tidy and so are the bathrooms! Best phở around town ya’ll!

I regularly eat here and I’ve never been disappointed. The food is wonderful and the staff friendly. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for something tasty on an evening or a fun, laid back lunch break.

My gf ordered the phở tai and I got the bun ga. No flavor at all. Prices are high. You’re pretty much paying for atmosphere which is not bad. Not sure why such a high rating. Probably family and friends, but I bet they have never and will never eat here. Will never come back and will never recommend. My gf is Vietnamese and she thinks it’s so bland. It feels like I’m eating air… Flavorless air. Worst. Phở. Ever.

Nice concept with the whole mini hot pot on the side and phở. But execution. Not so great. The beef broth here has a weird flavor to it, it’s not like the rich beef flavor you usually get at vietnamese restaurants, it almost tastes like they put too much nutmeg in it. The noodles are also over cooked and mushy. The little hot pot for the raw slices of meat is cute and I actually like that part of it! It’s this small pot of broth over this tiny candle fire. The bowls here are super cute, it’s like this triangular shaped bowl instead of the regular round ones. Definitely a more modern take on phở, but the flavors just aren’t quite there.

Satisfying and savory, this place never fails to fulfill my expectations. I ordered 5E, phó with rare steak and beef balls, and my father ordered 28D, crispy egg noodles with vegetables and beef. Great atmosphere, great food– only complaint was the sizes of the dishes. Their phó only comes in one regular, small size and the crispy egg noodles only come in one HUGE size.

5 stars because my brother left for 30 minutes when the food came. When he returned I asked the waitress to reheat his bowl. Instead, the staff here went above and beyond and remade his order! Can’t ask for better service there.

I like it here — nicer than most Vietnamese places. Phở is standard. The filet mignon phở is great. The meat comes raw and there’s a little hot pot of hot broth on the side to cook the meat as you eat. Super tender. Worth the extra money Have tried their spring rolls, fried rice, rice plates, vermicelli bowls, quail, curry, bbh — all pretty good My problem with this place is that it’s really slow for a Vietnamese restaurant. But good selection and good food! Also I don’t know why but the water tastes extra off here

We are regulars here. I almost always get the #3 phở and my fiancée always gets the veggie phở with tofu, veggies, and veggie broth. She loves hers and I’m always happy with mine. I recently tried the dark meat chicken phở and it was tasty but I like the beef ones better. Tofu spring rolls are good, spicy chicken wings are good. It’s almost always empty in here, so we hope they don’t close down! They’re closed on Wednesdays.

This is a nice modern twist to your regular phở restaurant. The simplicity of the décor is refreshing. I also really like how this restaurant plates their entrees and phở soups. The phở is served in a triangular bowl and the vermicelli comes in a fancy looking square-ish dish. They serve their basil leaves in a glass of water which is very interesting(I’ve never seen any restaurant do that). It seems they pay a lot of attention to presentation. I wish the taste of their food matched the aesthetics of the restaurant but unfortunately it didn’t. The food wasn’t bad, it was just okay. I ordered the grilled chicken vermicelli with egg rolls, fresh veggies, peanuts and fish sauce. I’ve only ordered vermicelli noodles a few times so I don’t have much to base my critique off of but it tasted a bit bland. The grilled chicken on my plate didn’t taste fresh, it had a slight rubbery texture and the eggs rolls looked like they would taste great but weren’t crispy like they should be and lacked a little in the flavor department :( Service was also meh. Not sure if I would come back unless I absolutely crave phở but I recommend others to try it out.

3 stars. Came here because I was craving Phở. I got there with my girlfriend and daughter at 10:30am when they opened. We were the only ones there. We obviously got the #1 which is the Phở Dac Biet, and we also got the cute bear gelato for my daughter. The Phở itself seemed a little bigger than last time I was here and they actually have more meat in them than most other restaurants. Here is the downside. There was a dead ant in my water. That was disgusting. No one even came to check and see how we were doing. When I went to go pay, the lady at the register was actually on the phone arguing with someone over some shipment? Kinda sad that you’d rather have a customer wait. This experience is terrible. I am NOT coming back here ever again.

This is one of my favorite phở spots around, but the prices are a little higher for nothing exceptional comparatively speaking. I always get the veggie phở in chicken broth. I love their veggie choices in their soups: cabbage, carrots, onion, broccoli, and BOKCHOY! So yummy! I’ve tried a few things on their appetizer menu as well. I really enjoyed their papaya salad, fried egg rolls, spring rolls, and bbq pork rolls. The soup is so big, i like to share with a friend and get an appetizer as well! Go check it out!

Surprising good Cha Gio/Eggrolls, and some large portions(depending on what you order), but uncomfortable seating. My family and I came in on a Sunday around noon, and the restaurant was pretty empty until a large group came in towards the end of our meal. We tried: -#37, Com Bo Luc Lac(Cubed Filet Mignon Steak, Onion, Bell Pepper, Served w/Red Rice, $ 13.95, ): Yuck– one of the worst versions of shaking beef that I’ve had. The beef was a little chewy and the dressing for the salad was really salty. Also, the red rice was super dense and almost chewy– skip! -#21, Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio(Grilled Pork, Egg Rolls, Fresh Veggie, Chopped Peanuts, Served w/Fish Sauce, $ 9.45, ): Pretty good! The egg rolls were some of the best I’ve had in a while, and I loved the flavor and crispiness of the wrapper. I also liked the flavor of the grilled pork, which was a good combination of lean and fatty meat. They give you a TON of vermicelli, and fish sauce served with it was mixed perfectly– recommended! –Bún Riêu( ): Pretty good, but it needed a little more salt. However, they give you a gigantic bowl, and didn’t skimp on the ingredients– you get a lot of of the egg mixture and small shrimp. Most of the food we tried was good, but the prices are on the higher side(as many other Unilocalers have already mentioned). I think they tried to go too fancy/upscale here, since the bowls are triangular versus your average round bowl, etc. For example, my dad got phở(which I didn’t try), and they give you a separate small bowl of soup to dunk and cook your raw slices of beef in, and it even comes with a mini Sterno. That’s just a bit too much for a Phở place, and the food isn’t so amazing here that I’m willing to pay more. The worst part about dining here is that their wooden chairs/benches are super hard and uncomfortable. Service was ok– the lady was really nice but you definitely have to flag them down at times. She was also super impatient about us ordering, even though there wasn’t anyone else at the restaurant at the time. Overall, the meal I had was ok and we even took leftovers home. However, for $ 50 for 4 people at a PHO joint, I don’t think I’ll be back. Parking is easy at least since the lot is gigantic, and there are barely any open restaurants in this complex.

I’ve been frequenting a lot of phở restaurants and rating these establishments based on three key components: broth quality, noodle consistency, and meat preparation. 1. First and foremost, you should be aware that phở broth is not supposed to be super dark and cloudy. That is one of my biggest pet peeves. Murky broth indicates poor cooking technique, to clarify, the residue(foam) from the beef bones were not properly removed from the pot. Phở Appetit’s broth had a very strong odor and salty, indicating an overkill on their ingredients/spices. 2. Have you ever taken phở home and eaten it the next day? The noodles are usually super soggy and basically melt in your mouth. Anyways, their noodle consistency was disappointing because that’s exactly how they tasted. It was like day old phở noodles. Sigh… Noodles weren’t clumped at the bottom, but I prefer my noodles more al dente. 3. I have no complaints of the meat. I asked for my rare flank to be served on the side. The rare flanks were very thinly sliced and of good quality, just the way I like it! Their beef brisket was soft and tender, as well. Phở broth is what makes or breaks a bowl of phở, and unfortunately that was already a miss, the noodle consistency didn’t help, either. I know the meat prep was spot on, but c’mon… — I came with my family and I had a taste of my sister’s bun bo hue. As a Vietnamese-American, I find that it is in my duty to inform you that bun bo hue should not taste like that. We thought it tasted like a mixture between bun rieu and thit kho, they definitely used shrimp paste which is commonly used in bun rieu. Also the meat was very sweet and seasoned like thit kho. Bun bo hue is known for it’s spicy flavor, that was also a missing in Phở Appetit’s rendition of bun bo hue.

First time here at this Vietnamese restaurant. The shopping center is empty, except for one other Vietnamese café. Came on a Sunday afternoon, and it was pretty busy. Only 3 workers and it was slow service. 2 waitresses and one waiter. One waitress was working cashier and another was taking orders and assiting customers, while poor young guy had to bring all the food out from the kitchen to the tables. He was trouble remembering what orders are what and what tables they belong too. Felt bad for him… I liked what I ordered Vermicelli with Grilled Pork and Egg Rolls. I thoguht the meat was good quality and the noodle was good. They gave 2 egg rolls, surprisingly and t they were different. Mom ordered the Bo Bun Hue which is Spicy Phở Noodle Soup. She didn’t like it, thought it wasn’t really spicy as other places. Service was slow, people coming in were kept waiting because they swamped and busy. They need more attentative people working here. I don’t know if i’ll be back…

Short Story: A fantastic place for phở in Fremont! It’s new, clean, and good! Long Story: We came here on a weekday night and this place was only slightly packed. We were promptly seated. The waitress came by very shortly and asked us for our order. The order took a while to get here compared to other phở places. They also forgot our water. However, the food itself is superb and the service when they are available are good too. The décor and ambiance reflect a new place. The prices are pretty good too! Verdict I’ll definitely be back!

First time coming here tonight, ordered the #1 which is the phở dac biet. I’m Vietnamese & I eat a lot of phở, this place has decent phở. The broth was salty when it came out to the point where I didn’t even need to add the hoisin sauce. Service wasn’t great, the guy that took our order & served our food seemed rude & didn’t want to help us, example: he walked away when we were trying to get his attention to ask him for more bean sprout. I’m surprised he didn’t charge us extra for that. Overall 2 stars & probably wouldn’t be back.

Gotta bump it up one star chuz I’ve never had phở in a cool triangular bowl before! The soup itself is decent, a little watery but the taste was all there. It does seem a bit healthier because it was so watery. The meat was all good, not hard to get that right, and my favorite the tendons were good too! Soft, chewy, with the right flavor! All the veggies that they give you looked super fresh, good quality. I also got the spring rolls but that was alright… it looks super cool with the lettuce sticking out like that but when you eat it, its kind of a hassle. Anyways, good phở place with lots of seating!
