Good food and nice people. What else can I ask for?

I honestly have know idea how this restaurant has so many good reviews. My family and I came here to have a nice meal after Taraweeh, like an early suhoor. We were expecting a small and not so crowded little joint. Oh were we wrong. Coming into the parking lot alone we could already see so many cars lined up in front of the entrance. I went inside to see if there was enough room for our party of six an there was a table in the back which was perfect for us. A small corner for our family with two kids, two teens, and two adults was just perfect. The first sign that this was not a good place was the fact that they did not sell classic american burgers on the main menu and only on the kids menu. The second sign was the extreme over pricing, our total came out to almost 100 dollars, including the tip which you have to be a group of 8+ to have to give it even says on his menus but he forced me to tip even though we had a terrible experience. And lastly the fact that this place was PACKED. There were rowdy young adults EVERYWHERE(mostly guys). After we placed our order not even 5 minutes later a waiter came and moved us to the front of the building in the main seating area. Right. In. Front. Of. The. Main. Entrance. The waiter brought us our 3 milkshakes before anything else which was extremely absurd. The timings of when our individual meals were brought out were so spaced out almost 10 minute intervals. One fried chicken plate came out at the very beginning 20 solid minutes before anyone else’s food and the other came out at the very end 15 – 20 minutes after everyone else at the table had received their meal. The waiter told us that the cheeseburger on the kids meal was only a burger patty and bun with cheese, nothing else. When it arrived it had ketchup and mayo on it which was a surprise to us because we seemed to have been misinformed after specifically asking what was in it. After sending one back into the kitchen(kids are picky which is why we asked what was on it in the first place) the burger returns two minutes later with the bun wiped off very poorly resulting in the child to not eating the food at all. We also ordered a chicken dish which was average, as was the Lahori burger. The fried chicken«special»(so they called it) was not special at all. The most average tasting chicken I have had in my life. The chicken was searing hot to the touch when brought out. The inside was cooked fine but the breading looked a bit overcooked because it was almost a dark brown color. Some parts the breading was very stingy and some parts had so much and when you bite into that part you realize that there is no meat whatsoever. My most emphasized complaint was the fact that they moved us. The restaurant was so crowded there were people waiting literally watching us eat so that they could sit where we were after we finished which made us extremely uncomfortable. We did not know if anyone was actually watching us because it would be awkward to look but we felt as if all eyes were on us. Altogether I would never come here again unless I wanted a dessert or milkshake which were basically the only options worthy of ordering again, but still very overpriced. Thanks for the massive disappointment Mirchi!

This place has very tantalizing snacks, and mouth watering dishes. My favorite is the Punjabi chicken burger it comes with coleslaw, and masala fries, that could be a little bit crispier, but still tasty. There cardamom lassi is awesome!

I wasn’t used to the masala and curry scene but this spot, hallelujah! The brother who owns the spot is almost too friendly. My wife constantly speaks about his humor. We had went late night after Frisky Friday at the club and were surprised to see so many people there at 130. They were open until 330AM for Muslims participating in Ramadan.

Mrchi has amazing Spicy ranch fries, their Chicken Tikka club sandwich is amazing. Alloo Tikki salad is pretty amazing for a medium size meal and chicken shashlik is pretty delish also. Some people also love their fried chicken but you have to order that in advance — they gotta catch the chicken first :) Décor is by far better than a lot of ethnic restaurants. Coke Studio is playing on tv so that’s always a plus. Service can be a little slow but the owner has a great sense of humor so he makes up for that shortcoming.

My boyfriend and I randomly found this joint and we’re sure happy we did! I was really craving the chicken masala but every table was ordering the Lahori burger. What’s a girl suppose to do if it was her first time? The burger patty was very flavorful. Pretty thick but small in diameter. The bun was definitely too big for the patty, I ended up tossing 1⁄3 of the bun. Haha. The advertised the bun as «soft» but was slightly dry… eh. It was still good though. The Spicy Ranch fries were awesome possum! I liked the Madrisa fries my boyfriend got a bit more though. Both amazing, you can’t go wrong with either. Kinda pricey in the fries upgrade…$ 2 for the Madrisa(?) and $ 1.50 for the Spicy Ranch fries. Considering the fact that it’s just sauce they are throwing on there.

I honestly didn’t like it, I saw the reviews and went there. But it’s was average, to be exact a lil below average. The ranch fries are okay okay. Not as mentioned ‘to die for’. Stingy flavor!!! I ordered the noodles, and it tasted very bad. Some smokey awkward flavor made my taste buds cry :(I was expecting it to be like Indian flavoured but it was no where near to that, not at all like chinese even. and the burger chicken fried one was like average 5⁄10. And the lemon soda tasted bad too. Sorry I wanted to rate you better but :’(

This has been a friend and my go to spot. We visit once a week, and the owner or manager Shawqat is great. He has good jokes and it is always great to see him. The food is great. We get the Lahori burger, no coleslaw, and extra fries. There is a reason this restaurant has won HFSAA restaurant of the month several times. The food is consistently great. For the price, you can’t get a better halal burger.

Ordered my first door dash delivery from here tonight! Portions are pretty generous & fairly priced. I didn’t expect the salad to be amazing but it actually consisted of pretty good quality lettuce & was fresh. Chicken tikka masala pizza was alright; couldn’t really acertain the masala flavor though. I really liked the saag paneer pizza! Cheese cubes were the right texture, not too firm or soft, & spinach was tasty. This was actually my first time trying Indian pizza which seemed strange at first but it actually works. If you’re craving Indian food & pizza, why not both?

Wow, I can’t believe this place is still going strong. It’s not because the product is iffy, cuz it most certainly is not. It is the location. I can’t believe people can find it. But they do and it is busier than ever. So good! Totally forgot about this place and did a revisit after 7+years. The place did some redecorating as there are more pics up and maybe a splash of color. It used to be a bit more simple/boring. Menu is still similar but I’ve found some new things to make me not forget about this place anymore. They have fresh fried chicken now($ 9⁄5 piece)! They use halaal chicken because they throw in the Pakistani twist on most items. They season it pretty well(Pakistan spicing detected) and fry it to order(takes 20 minutes at least). So it comes out crisp and piping hot. You just don’t see too many places that do fresh fried chicken anymore. Either it is frozen or fast food. Not here, it is homemade. Sticking to the fried chicken theme, they sport a mean Fried Chicken Breast Sandwich, and rightfully so. Huge chicken breast, marinated in Pakistan flavors and fried super crisp. The breading here is different from their chicken on the bone. Here the breading is more pronounced and crunchy. The regular fried chicken just seems like seasoned flour. Which is totally fine. The sandwich comes with standard lettuce, tomato, onion and a generous douse of chipotle ranch/mayo. My only gripe with this delicious sandwich is the grocery type of sesame bun. First it is kinda pedestrian and boring. Then structurally, it disintegrates as you eat the sandwich because the chicken and the sauce are so juicy. Ciabatta or something similar would elevate this. Also tried their steak here and it is pretty decent. A petite halaal NY strip is grilled nicely, and served with hot, seasoned fries and a salad($ 14ish). Skip the pepper sauce version as it just sits in pool of ho-hum teriyaki sauce. The simple version is straight up Steak Frites without going to a French bistro. And I still always get a mango lassi here($ 4) as it is huge glass of yogurt-y, mango madness perfection. Sorry Mirchi for forgetting about you, it won’t happen again.

I really like the crispy chicken burger! Definitely recommend it. It has a kick of spice to it and every time I come back I’d forget how good it is. I also like to order spicy ranch fries, so definitely should try that, too. The burger is perfect for me so I end up wasting a lot of fries because they give out a huge portion of fries.

After being in Fremont for well over three years and an ardent Foodie on top of that somehow we missed this place for quite some time, finally my inner wish list caught up with the fact that I was too hungry and too close to this location yesterday and here we are to rave or rant about this very unique fusion at an equally hideous location. To start with the place is quite small probably able to seat like 25 people comfortably, the sever helped us out right away and within seconds we had the menu in our hands. Obviously threalization that this is a Pakistani-Indian-American fusion sets in right away. They have some entrees as appetizers for instance veggie fried rice, Manchurian are in this section, then they have fusion burgers like lahori, Punjabi, pepper steak rtc that comes with salad or coleslaw and fries continued with a menu section for entrees with rice, fried chicken and pizza. Food we ordered: Lahori Burger with fries and coleslaw, veggie wrap with salad &5 piece fried chicken(their so called special with a Warning that it takes 20 min — not sure wether to emphasis the importance or make you not order it) Lahori Burger: Sesame bun was mediocre something that u can get in Safeway, American cheese, onions, tomatoes, hot sauce & obviously a miniature beef patty for 8 $ + 2 $ for adding pepper to the fries(they call it seasoned What a joke !). The burger as a whole seemed good till u bite in, since the party is small the first few bites would be everything except meat which kind of tastes funny, anyways for the whole meal the rating is 2.5 stars considering the price was more than what was on offer. Veggie Wrap: Nothing to rave about, everyday Green tortilla wrap with mashed potatoes inside. Not so bad but not so flavorful. Rating 2.5 Stars. FRIED Chicken: This is their special and believe me it was one of the worst I have ever eaten in my life. Completely dry, no flavor, no salt, some weird red color, sticky feels like some thing that has been fried like weeks before & refried on order. I couldn’t believe myself that how a SPECIAL can be so Shitty. After being able to eat just one piece I was really in a state of confusion, got a to go box filled in the remaining pieces & took it to the counter and asked the OWNER does this chicken tastes the way it should or am I wrong somewhere. He was like yeah it tastes fine, then I pull out my phone to show him the piece which I ate was having frozen blood inside and he takes my phone goes into the kitchen to put the blame on the chef and admits it’s wrong. Now the funny part: Instead of taking it off my bill, he pulls his visiting card out and writes«5 piece chicken with salad credit» signs it and says this is more powerful than American Express, so next time you come in let know the guy on the counter and he will redeem you. Seriously, he expects that this resolves the issue. Can’t blame the business we the consumers always rely on past laurels which gives business this audacity to lower their qualities. 1 Star just Coz the owner accepted that it was wrong or else this is indeed a 0 star place.

Service qas pretty good, and the food was all right — nothing to write home about, but satisfying. We split an order of the spicy ranch fries, a medium chicken tikka pizza, and an order of the chicken shashlik. It was filling enough, but we had mixed feelings about it all. 1. Spicy ranch fries — not pricey and good for sharing as an appetizer or small side, but we felt we could make these at home if we wanted. 2. Chicken tikka pizza — probably the best of the 3 dishes, it tasted good with a decent amount of chicken, and was filling. The only bummer for me was that there was cilantro on it because I hate cilantro. 3. Chicken shashlik — if the pizza was the star, this was the bum. It was just sweet and sour chicken with basmati rice. It was slightly too sweet, and cilantro also made an appearance here. Ehh. I probably won’t be back, eapecially since I’m not in the area often, but I wouldn’t be opposed to coming back if someone wanted it.

I was a tourist in San Francisco and really glad to find this great restaurant. The food, service, price and ambiance everything was 10 on 10. I was really surprised to see halal steaks on the menu that you rarely find in US. I ordered that, their chicken sandwich, wings and chai for the family. Everything was made perfect, specially the chai and their serving cups. In short, now I have a strong reason travelling to SFO again… and have lunch/dinner daily at this restaurant while I am there :)

Salaam Alaikum. Well, this place speaks for itself. Quality and service are top notch. Not sure if all the food’s to everybody’s taste yet my picks are the club sandwich and strawberry milkshake. I don’t need to say too many things as I’m sure you’ve been here and can vouch for it’s pure awesomeness. They’re the only ones that I know of that had the month of Ramadhan all nighters up until sahar in the morning. Deserts are excellent as well. The waffle ice cream Sunday is usually fought over when we order it. Jazak Allah Khair Ya Ali

Great job!

Amazing!!! Best chicken burger I’ll think I have ever had. Also they have a spicy ranch fries that will make you cry when you eat them that they are soooooooooo good. I have also previously eaten the cal zone and the beef burger here before. They are also good items that you can order here. But ultimately… The chicken burger is amazing. A must have for every person that eats here. New and old. The strawberry daiquiri I had was amazing. And the mango sprite is a good drink that I have only had here. Desserts wise. I have only had the falooda. I Dont know if I’m spelling that right or not. But it is delicious.

5 stars because I always get treated with respect here especially when it’s the OG crew I always got the same exact thing pretty much, beef pepper steak.(This is a Philly cheese steak sandwich sort of thing). Then I started getting the Sizzling Black pepper steak I think is what it’s called, this is an actual steak. I don’t eat this as often lately because I’ve switched over to their(Lahori burger?), whatever the beef patty burger is called. I’ve had it spicy and not spicy, I realized that I prefer it not spicy. I also really like their Vanilla shake, it’s just a shake that tastes like ice cream(I know right), but yeah I do like it. Most people prefer chocolate from what I can tell. It’s worth a shot! I also like chillin with the average mirchi customer, everyone things they’re hot stuff!

Love this place! Been here at least 4 times before getting to posting a review. My husband is a convert so we were looking at different halal restaurants to try. This one is our definite favorite! The fries are amazing, the burgers are great, and chicken rolls are my fave! But this time we did take out so we can do a dinner and a movie at home. Called at 7 and we live in Hayward so we got there around 7:30, food was already ready to go! We paid $ 38 for the 5 pc fried chicken meal with fries and naan. A milkshake and piña colada. And 1 medium veggie pizza! Everything was so good! Can’t wait till our next trip over there :)

The first time I came here I got a burger and it was pleasant. Nothing outstanding in taste, but it was big and came with sides. Cant complain there! I normally come here for their chicken roll. It is in a heated display case. Basically seasoned chicken baked into a flaky philo dough outer layer. I really like getting this because I work across the plaza from this place and it’s a cheap grab-and-go item. Seems pretty fresh and you can ask for your choice of dipping sauce. I normally go for their house styled ranch, but I know they have other alternatives that are spicy. I’ve also tried their thai tea drink and it’s pretty good as well. This small local business is pretty much everyones go to place at my work. Glad I’m fortunate enough to work so close to it!

I honestly have no idea how this place has such high reviews. Decided to grab dinner here with a friend and we had high expectations and boy were we disappointed. We ordered chicken wings for the appetizers, I ordered the crispy chicken breast sandwich, and my friend ordered the chicken tikka pizza. Chicken wings — probably the only good thing we had to eat here. 8 pieces wing buffalo wing sauce. However, not worth the price. I can get better wings for cheaper at wing stop. Crispy chicken breast sandwich — I like spicy food and the waitress recommended this sandwich over the Punjabi Chicken burger. I ordered this sandwich to be extra spicy and I got this with a side of spicy ranch fries(though I should have gotten the salad) and it comes with coleslaw. In simple terms, I liked the coleslaw more than the sandwich and fries, but I like the coleslaw at KFC better than the one I ate here. What does that tell you. The chicken breast was fried, which I knew, but the overall sandwich had little excitement or flavor and definitely no spice. The spicy ranch fries were a major let down, I liked them least. I didn’t even finish everything and decided not to get it boxed. Chicken Tikka pizza — my friend ordered this one and I had a slice. She said it had little flavor and tasted better when she poured buffalo sauce over it. I tried it with the buffalo sauce and thought that it did make the pizza a bit better but overall not very good. Overall, I wouldn’t come back to this place. My friend and I both left unsatisfied and I had a REALLY upset stomach afterwards. Probably from all the vinegar in the buffalo sauce that was one the wings, fries, sandwich, and pizza. Yeah, not pleasant. I’m never coming back to this joint. The asian waitress was nice and attentive while one of the waiters was a little too nice… sorry Mirchi café but your dishes don’t live up to your name.
