Pizza King

For a mediterranean/​pizza place you’d think they would at least have good mediterranean food since the pizza reviews were not good but this is not the case. Ordered the kabob combo, chicken shawarma sandwich, and falafel. The falafel was the only thing that was good hence the one star. The kabob meat was alright but the rice had zero flavor (think plain white rice), there was no white sauce or garlic cream just green sauce. Salad had no dressing either. The chicken shawarma was left very much to be desired it was a pita with lettuce, tomato, onions and pieces of dried and flavor less chicken. No garlic cream either, just some very dry and tasteless hummus. All in all I will not reorder from them again.

I’m giving one star at this point because of the delay in delivery, first, and the brush off I was given when I called asking where the food was. I was told it would be another 5 – 10 minutes before he even knew which order it was; I ordered it 1 hour and 15 minutes prior to calling to ask. It finally arrived another 15 minutes later.
Update: the food was lukewarm, and that’s including the salad, which contains items I had specified not to have.

This place is a great place to eat. Employees very friendly and welcoming. They got great food and a nice place for a hookah.

I ordered the bianca pizza to be delivered to my hotel. Very tasty. Good blend of cheeses and garlic. Crust was just right. Not too thick or thin. Baked well, slightly crunchy but soft inside.

On a short visit here tried their food and Hookah. Great food and service. Everything is Fresh. I tried chicken wings and steak & cheese. Hookah is amazing a lot of flavors available. Nice and clean place. They also have a good Dj which makes everything more enjoyable. Also it is now under a new management so the previous reviews don’t apply to them. Overall nice experience really enjoyed it.

Worst delivery food since I moved here two years ago. Decided to give a different business a try and was sorely disappointed. Onion rings are from frozen. The bacon cheese fries had NO cheese on them and 2 strips of blackened burned bacon thrown on top. No joke. I asked for 3 ranch cup sides to go with the fries and they were not included. Guess it didnt matter since we will NOT be eating those fries. I won’t even be back to try the halal, which sounded good, but a horrible first impression will keep me away and I won’t recommend to anyone. Stick with Sams for the sides like bacon cheese fries and getting what you ask for. If you’re not going to be good at something, don’t put it on your menu.

Just moved in town from Buffalo and have started a quest to find «good» pizza and wings in Fredericksburg.
Decided to start here despite the weird Mediterranean vibe.
Pizza. Went simple, cheese and pepperoni. The sauce was good, the cheese good, but I found It lacking. It was better than chain pizzeria’s. I would eat again, but my quest is still on.
Wings. The size was ok. I like a bigger wing, and this was close. It was deep fried like a wing should be, but it wasn’t crispy enough. The sauce, we had a choice between mild and hot. We went with hot. The sauce was far from hot, barely a medium, and was fairly bland. That said they were better than a chains.
One complaint. No fountain water. I have given up soda pop years ago and only drink water. They only offered bottle water.
Overall it was ok. I would consider coming back, but I need to experience more of what is in town first.

The wait time for deliver is ridiculously long. They will give you an account estimated delivery time of 40 minutes we waited for 75 minutes. I also ordered a cheesecake with my order and it was completely warm. The food was decent. Not worthy of a 75 minute wait. I don’t plan on ordering from here again.

The food here is decent but delivery will give u an estimate of 30 to 45 minutes then take an hour. I live 2 miles away. It would be one thing if they’d call and tell me they’ll be late but I’ve had to call and check the status more than once. One time I was told the delivery driver was on his way and he showed up 20 minutes later. It does not take 20 minutes to get to my house. I won’t be ordering delivery from them again.
Edit: my order just got here. It’s wrong. Not majorly wrong, but how hard is it to keep track of sandwich toppings in an online order?

The cheeseburger pizza was SO FREAKIN GOOD! We tried another pizza with sausage and feta I think, which was also really good. Will have to find excuses to drive south to stop by this place again.

This place is really cool. My wife and I almost turned around to leave our first time there. It smelled kinda like smoke, which we soon learned was from the adjoining hookah bar, and there was no one there to greet us. The reason it gets 3 stars is that the service is kinda lack-​luster and the smokiness is a little annoying. However, the food was excellent. We’ll be returning from time to time simply because the pizza is soooo good.

Went hear from the recommendation of my best friend. The pizza is great and the service makes you feel like a regular even if its your first time. The hookah bar next door is cool. The owner took us in and had us give it a try after asking about it. Very laid back place. I’m really loving its practically right around the corner from me.

Love the food never had anything bad. The Clam chowder is close to my homemade. The fresh made ranch dressing is so rich and delicious I can’t wait from one visit til the next to get some. Yum.

The name «Pizza King» might mislead you, as they also have a good selection of American and Mediterranean food. Recently opened up last year (2011), I knew about it’s related restaurant with the same name in Prince William County and when I heard about it moving into the Fredericksburg area, I decided to try it out.
It’s best known as a hookah café that features a large HD TV in the casual dining area where you can smoke, bring a party of people to enjoy each others’ company, and all the while enjoy delicious food. For many in the area, it might be reminiscent of Aladin’s as they both serve similar food very close by, but where Aladin’s went the route of a bigger business, Pizza King goes down more a family-​owned and down-​to-​earth feel.
If you’re going to Pizza King strictly for food, the pizza is quite delicious and not too greasy. However, the real quality food is everything else including subs, shawarma sandwiches, and some featured Italian foods. Everything is fresh and satisfies quite nicely. You can never go wrong with the other menu food choices and will surely guarantee you wanting to come back for more. A big specialty the restaurant has is the Moroccan Tea. Since the family that owns it is Moroccan, they specially make a tea that is light in flavor, hot, and quite refreshing. I’ve gone there numerous times and cannot think of a meal from there I’ve been disappointed over.
The service is also more laid-​back than other restaurants. Whereas you might enter another restaurant and go through the motions of «Hi, my name is _​_​_​_​and I’ll be your server today, etc,» you’ll come in to Pizza King feeling at home. It’s quite a nice change from other restaurants where they do enjoy your company. The restaurant also features a website that you can order online from, similar to Domino’s. However on busy nights, service can become slow not only from the large amount of people but from conversations between staff and guests. If you’re there to take your time and enjoy the atmosphere then it shouldn’t be a problem, but if you’re looking for a quick bite it might not be the best place to stop at.
For those who like to smoke hookahs, the hookahs are prepared pretty well depending on who’s doing it. Sometimes the shisha is too close to the foil, causing it to burn faster than it should on the top. However if you have Rashid prepare it for you, you’re pretty much good to go.
Overall, Pizza King is a great restaurant if you’re truly looking for a place where you’ll feel welcome and at home along with delicious food to go with it.
