I’m new to town and based on Unilocal reviews picked LaVida for a massage. After 3 moves in 2015 I finally found the time! Clean, friendly environment and smelled good too! Eric gave me one of the best massages I’ve ever had. He’s personable, knowledgable about human muscles and nerve workings and has the strongest hands! I’ve already booked my return. Do not hesitate to use this facility!

I’m really glad I came across La Vida Massage! I have really enjoyed the benefits or member program. It’s incredibly affordable — who pays $ 65 for an hour-​long massage?! Plus, if you get additional services during the same month, you get member discounts.
Massage: If you like deep tissue, make sure you ask that your masseuse does offer this. I have been really happy with Christopher — the perfect pressure and very skilled.
Facial: So. Friggen. Relaxing. Just make sure you ask if they do extractions, if you’re looking for this.

Massage was great signed up for the benefits package. My masseuse worked the knots right out of my back. Will definitely be going again next month!

Amazing staff, services, and ambiance! My wife and I experienced a warm welcome Aloha as we entered and sat in their warm inviting lobby. We were scheduled for a couples massage, facial, and foot scrub. Then we proceeded to a tranquil and relaxing waiting room with dim lighting and soothing music. Our massage technicians (Emily and Bri) soon arrived with smiling faces and somber voices. We were escorted into a room covered in rose pedals! Guys, you can score points with your lady if you did this for Valentine’s day. The massage was so comforting, I fell asleep. My wife said she worked hard to stay awake. The soft music and the soothing aromas provided relaxation second to none. Emily and Bri were seamless in their transition between different services and switching between us. Before we knew it, our comforting bliss was over. When we exited the room, we felt like we were floating on air. Once again, we were greeted at the front lobby with smiling faces and recommendations to complete our night to include drinking lots of water and taking a warm bath. We highly recommend all to visit La Vida and experience the best!

As a birthday present from my husband and despite it being 30 min away, I decided to give them a try since I read the great reviews. I am beyond happy I did! From the initial phone call, I knew this was a special place. They are so accommodating and meticulous in ensuring your needs will be met, with both their flexible hours and with the ideal massage therapist/​aesthetician that I felt confident I would be given the best treatment possible. I received a wonderful massage from Amy and an equally relaxing facial from Briana and I am hooked! So much so that I signed up for their member benefits program… yes they are that good! For such a good rate and for the quality of service you are getting, it is really a no brainer. I’ve never felt more relaxed in years. Thanks to the other Unilocal reviewers for sharing their great experiences, I can now whole heartedly do the same! From start to finish, they were very friendly, inviting, attentive, accommodating and professional. I can’t say enough good things about this place and now I have something to look forward to every month that is affordable! I know my quality of life is about to be improved :)

La Vida seems to have taken the Massage Envy model, upped the professionalism of its staff, and done away with all of the policy limitations and long-​term commitments of membership. I went for the first time today (Sun), after booking my appt via their phone app late Fri. I was pleased at their availability/​flexible times. The one limitation re: the app was there was no way for me to indicate I’m pregnant (prenatal massage often requires the therapist have particular certifications). To their credit, the location did contact me via phone promptly after I’d made the appt using the app. However, I was with noisy, small people and couldn’t take the call. Thankfully, they left my appt as is and didn’t cancel it or require I «call to confirm» in order to hold the appt. I mean, if you go to the trouble of getting online to make the appt, you want the appt. No need for endless confirmation follow-​ups, in my opinion. I arrived right before my appt time, and found the location to be pleasant, welcoming, and the staff friendly. When I noted I was pregnant, they did some quick maneuvering to make the proper arrangements, and I stuck with a head, shoulder, and upper back massage today (I’ve been getting headaches related to pregnancy/​posture, and the upper back/​neck was all I really made the appt for). I liked the new facility, the dark wood décor, the clean bathrooms (mind you, I was one of the 1^st appts of the day), and the massage therapist and other staff. I appreciated the fact that she asked specific, pressure-​related questions, checked in a few times, but then let me zone out after the initial period. I also liked the way she focused specifically on the areas I’d pointed out, really trying to get the grit out of my upper back. Overall, the massage was fantastic, as was my experience. I’d say the one negative note was that twice in the 60 minutes, the calming, spa-​like music turned to a more muzak/​elevator-​music type song with a jazz guitar that seemed louder and more distracting than the other, more soothing songs they’d played. A huge plus? There was no pushy sales pitch at the end of my service. I’ll admit I became a member of Massage Envy in Central Park for a year, and found it to be a huge waste of money. I’m a mom to little people, a grad student, and an intern, and I had little time in that year-​long membership to spare for add’l sitters or to call far-​ahead for Massage Envy appts. I ended up using maybe three of the 12 monthly sessions, giving one to my husband, and having to squeeze in about 7 or 8 massages into a 4 week period at the end of my membership year. It was a big waste and I definitely opted out of renewing. From what I learned when I asked today, La Vida has no long-​term commitment, no penalty fees for stopping your membership at any time, and you can transfer massages or treatments to your partner any time (not once every 6 months like you know who). Made me re-​think the idea of membership and consider La Vida. If these headaches persist, I’m signing up. But thanks to my therapist today, I’m headache-​free for now. Finally, thanks to the La Vida staff for keeping it professional. I hear about other people’s traumatic experiences all day at my internship, and you can start to carry that stuff around with you after while. At Massage Envy, I’d end up with staff telling me all sorts of details about their lives during treatments. Mind you, everyone needs a chance to vent, and if they’ve stood all day rubbing folks’ backs and having to be quiet, I can imagine they’d want to say something at some point. But I’m trying to escape/​release the add’l baggage of my week/​month, not take on more. So, I appreciate La Vida’s staff and their tendency to keep mum during treatments.

After a long six hour flight, I needed something for the pain I was feeling in my back and neck. This was close to the area, I was suppose to conduct business. I called, and with little notice I was able to get in later that day. I must say, I will be considering the benefits of being a member. I loved this place as soon as I walked in the door. Clean and the staff friendly and helpful. I will be back. I was so relaxed the next day at the meetings and gave a solid performance at our presentation. Thanks Emily and the rest of the staff you guys certainly rock.

Though this establishment is new to the Fredericksburg community, LaVida Massage hits all the right buttons when it comes to providing a very relaxing spa massage and facial. Both the therapists and estheticians are very professional and knowledgeable in their craft. I am one for being picky about where I go and whom I’m letting massage me, but I certainly believe I found a great place to return to for a nice tranquil therapeutic massage.
