I’m very disappointed in the lack of customer service and professionalism I received from Twana. I called and left a vm for an appointment. Twana’s voicemail said — she’s busy so it may take a while for her to call back but that she will return calls and she is available in October. So I waited 4 days with no return call. On the 4^th day I texted her and she immediate responded saying she was sorry but was not accepting new clients. I texted back letting her know I would have appreciated a return call/​text sooner. Her reply (attached) was extremely rude!
She said she has since changed her voicemail and then proceeded to go off on me calling me judgmental because I told her a timely reply to my vm 4 days ago would have been appreciated.
The nerve of Twana! She had time to change her vm but no common courtesy to return a business call and then gets snippy. Smh!
* Response to Twana’s comment. I was never rude to you. People can see that by the text messages I posted (we never spoke over the phone). Your website still says you’re accepting new clients smh. Thought you updated it. I’m so glad I wasn’t styled by a miserable human being like yourself. What you don’t understand is I have a right to be upset, not you. A good business owner who made a mistake would have understood that but not you. Obviously, you think you are above common courtesy smh. So glad you have shown Unilocalers your true colors. Good riddance!

I scheduled my appointment for my birthday at 9:30am. I arrived on time and Twana went right to work. It was just me and I didn’t have to worry about waiting for other people ahead of me. Twana was so incredibly friendly and I felt comfortable with her right off the bat. We had so much to chat about that the time flew by! She was done in 2.5 hours. I’ve been in a salon longer than that NOT getting braids done. She thoroughly explained how to take care of my hair and what products to use.
I am absolutely in love with my hair and have never received so many compliments. Complete strangers have told me how much they love my hair! I can’t wait to get my hair done again. Plus her prices are fantastic! I drove an hour to and from and it was well worth it. I highly recommend!

I found Twana on Unilocal!and was excited after viewing all the pics on her website. My appointment was at 8am on a Sunday. When I met her, she was awesomely nice and down to earth. I really felt comfortable as we talked about everything from our fav TV shows to haircare to what we were cooking for dinner. It made the time go by fast even though it didn’t take long in the first place. I was out the door by 10:45. I was very pleased with the results and her advice on how to take care of it. She showed me all the products she uses and even let me have a nightcap to sleep in because the one I showed her that I had wasn’t what she recommended. Anyone who knows me knows I have an insane love/​hate relationship with my hair! Being of mixed heritage, my hair isn’t kinky enough for some styles yet it doesn’t hold a curl for anything in the world! Coupled with a busy lifestyle of work, traveling and Mommy duties and I sincerely do not have time to worry about how fabulous I look! After going crazy and dying my hair about 6 times in less than 2 months (I was finding myself lol), I literally found Ms. Twana online in a moment of despair. Earlier that same day, I told my girlfriends that I was going to just chop my hair off the next morning. Luckily Twana responded immediately and we scheduled an appointment at my home. Twana was more than patient with me and answered all of my questions in a respectful and professional manner. I felt confident and completely comfortable with her not only in my home but around my family as well.
Less than three hours later, I went from being on the brink of despair to looking fabulous! The maintenance is minimal and I spend less than 5 minutes a day on the upkeep of my hair. She always has up to date recommendations on the best hair care products and also has tips on how to treat my natural hair so it can continue to grow. Every time I take out my hair I am simply amazed by how much my hair has grown and how strong and healthy it is! In the past 7 months since we met, my hair has grown over 5 inches. Seriously!!!
Twana’s service is right on time and it is not by mistake that her client base has grown. Ladies, there is NO ONE in this area offering a service as professional, convenient and amazing as hers. I feel like a brand new woman and it shows.

I had my hair done by Twana about 6 six weeks ago and it still looks great!!! I get compliments at work and in the community all of the time. The cost and quality of her services are well worth it. I have told my friends and coworkers about her and I will definately be back.

I took the bus down from NY to DC to meet Twana for my appointment. I was excited as I was confident in her work based on the photos in the gallery on her site. She was on time, so pleasant and professional. The best part — my hair! It came out so perfect. Its light, easy, fits my face and took under 3 hours. I enjoyed working with Twana and I definitely will be seeing her in a month to do this again. Going natural has been a struggle. This protective style and Twana’s skill has pulled me off the ledge of going back to the creamy crack.
