My favorite coffee place in Frederick! I’be only been living in Frederick for less than a year, but I’m shocked at how many people don’t know about this place. From delicious coffee to some of the best bagels I can find, well… You should all be trying it, and with all the different varieties of coffee and tea available — you’re sure to find something you love.

I’m here almost 3 times a week. I love to grab lunch here as I can get some good eats and the coffee creates some aroma therapy. I highly recommend the tuna. Either on a sandwich or their salad on a salad. If you like tea, but don’t want sweeeeeeeet tea, get the SporTea. It’s an awesome flavor with some sweetness.

A wonderful shop that is so inviting that I find it hard to leave sometimes. The coffee and tea is amazing and I am always greeted with a smile and warm welcome. It’s also always clean inside and smells incredible!

This place is a fantastic local coffee shop in Frederick. The staff were very friendly and personable, and the food and coffee are both more affordable and more delicious than that available at a typical Starbucks. The Italian Roast was very dark and robust, perfect for my taste; the cranberry muffin I had was quite scrumptious; and the sun-dried tomato bagel with egg was perfectly warm and soft. Moreover, the music is played at a comfortable level and comes from a local radio station, again unlike a typical Starbucks. To top everything off, they have a large dining area, ensuring there are always available tables, and they have fast wi-fi. Thanks to all these features, I was able to accomplish a good deal of studying in my time here. I will definitely be returning to Baltimore Coffee & Tea the next time I am in Frederick!

Baltimore Coffee & Tea is right on my way to work and I could not be happier with the service there. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The coffee is divine — they offer fresh brewed selections(regular, flavored, and decaf options) daily as well as whole-bean to take home. I have not tried a great deal of their sandwiches, but I get the harbor ham and swiss regularly and it has been consistently delicious. Great baked goods. Gluten-free options.

Great coffee and teas, plus excellent staff! I don’t drink coffee so I appreciate that they have 3 kinds of chai available– try Tiger Chai if you want something different. Unlike Starbucks, you don’t have to specify no water because they only use milk to make them. The guy enjoys the coffee here, especially the iced flavors, and always wants to detour here when we’re headed south on 270. There is a large selection of whole beans and teas so you can take some home. And if you’re lazy like us, they have some coffee flavors available in K-cups. If any suits happen to read this, please give SeVaughn a big raise! He has taken our order several times and he’s always friendly, funny, and accurate. He made a big impression on my first visit when it was just me and a then 7 month old. Usually you pick up your order at the counter but he saw I was feeding G while waiting for my sandwich and drink so he walked it over to the table and even asked if I needed anything else. I am definitely not one of those moms that expects special treatment for popping out a kid but I sure appreciate a helping hand if someone offers.

Bought a bag of the Ethiopian Adri and Hazelnut flavored coffee. Both bags had no aroma to the beans and the coffee tasted very bland. Made the coffee with both a drip and aeropress and was very disappointed in the quality. I’ve tried the Ethiopian Ardi and the Maui Lahaina Yellow Caturra coffee beans from another coffee roaster in Baltimore that were much better. The bags did not have a roast date as promised on the website and having the beans sit out in the open bags have me question their quality control practices.

3.5 stars rounding up Their menu isn’t too confusing, but it can be. because different bagels are differently priced, and they only list 6 bagels or so that. I have not ordered any other bagel aside the multi-grain one. and I have not ordered the bagel alone. I ordered their breakfast bagel sandwich, and their bagel was soft but had a little resistance, so it was good with the egg and cheese. Please note that, unlike the bagels, their menu isn’t quite clear about the varying costs of cheeses. granted, it’s not like $ 5 vs $ 0.05, but I think(and I honestly don’t recall the price) I paid $ 1.20 for the brie, vs $ 0.40 for their cheddar. And be sure to check the receipt, I was charged $ 1.20 on top of the $ 0.40, doubly charged. The ice coffee they serve is cold brewed, so the taste is definitely different from hot brew over ice(I like cold brews better). However, the cold brew seems a little light, so plus ice or milk = more diluted. Overall, the breakfast sandwich was good, and I might order it again, but I would not make a trip out here just for their breakfast sandwich. Having said that, I have yet tried their other lunch sandwiches, which I hope is good =)

On my first visit I got the Snickers latte. There was something in it that tasted acidic and chemical-like. I think that it is the artificial hazelnut syrup. I recommend that they ditch the syrup. My drink was a waste of $ 5. I will try this place at least one more time. Hopefully, it will be better next time.

The place smells great walking in, has a nice selection of both k-cup coffees and coffee beans you can buy, and a tacked on little café area for soups and sandwiches. However, I couldn’t get it out of my head the entire time I was there that, as someone else said in another review, this place just feels like a repackaged Starbucks. I mean, even down to the color scheme and merchandise available. There were no complaints from either me nor my company about our drinks, but really nothing stood out about this joint that makes it special. If you were to remove all the signs and logos and bring someone in here, I don’t think they could tell that it wasn’t a generic chain. So I guess that’s the big deterrent for coming here. If you live near this place and you feel like getting a regular coffee or sandwich that’s from a place that’s pretty much like a Starbucks, then that’s fine. But if you’re looking for something a bit more local and homey like I thought this was going to be, then be warned that this isn’t it.

The best sandwich in the area. I love their black tea. Everything is always fresh and tastes himemade. Quality for sure.

Stopped by this morning for my first visit. Ordered an iced tea and cheddar bagel with cream cheese. Took the order to go to eat when I got to work. The bagel was burned and even the cream cheese had a smoky taste from the burned bagel. Back porch iced tea tasted like it was not fresh. For $ 6 and some change my breakfast was a joke! Won’t be back to waste my money on food that is not even edible.

This spot is cheerful, convenient, and boasts a great selection of drinks and snacks. The outside strip-mall setting doesn’t exactly draw you in, but the warm and friendly service will make you glad you came. If you’re looking for something with a more cutting-edge approach to coffee, or a trendier aesthetic, this isn’t the place. A friend aptly describes B’more C&T as more of a yoga pants and coffee cake destination – where they remember your name and order. Their pastries and prices beat Starbucks, which is right down the street, and they’re also a better spot to pick up a quick gift. My recent thing is to order café au lait. They let you fill up your own coffee selection, and fill the rest with steamed milk. Those of us who prefer savory breakfast snacks will be happy that they have bagels with a variety of toppings. The proprietor also has good taste in candies and cookies, which sprawl around the cash register area. While their hours seem a bit limited, they’re not so limited by Frederick standards. There are coffee shops in town I’d love to try that don’t open until 9 or later – so B’More C&T is doing pretty good at 0630 on weekdays. They also have a couple tables inside and out. In a perfect world, this place would have couches, pour-over, and a night scene and manage to retain its friendliness. In the real world, it’s a great morning option right down.

We stopped by after searching for coffee shops on Unilocal.A phenomenal variety of coffee beans from many different parts of the world. The coffee we ordered was superb and the service is very nice. I’m particularly sensitive to the service since many places have a slight bias towards minorities wearing ethnic clothes.

I just don’t get the reviews. This is nothing more than a re-packaged Starbucks style operation. I roast my own coffee at home and understand what coffee can be. I walked in and paid over $ 2 for what was essentially warm bathwater that vaguely tasted of coffee. I stopped the car and dumped it. You could literally pull into McD’s or WaWa and get the same or better… and more of it… for much less. If you know roasted coffee… the roasted beans sitting out in the bags should make you question this place. For me, they are nothing more than decorative Overall, maybe the reviews are for the food but this place is «coffee and tea». If you truly want coffee at the same price point… for the same amount… that’s been roasted within the week… that has great flavors(not over roasted)…there is a shop here in town you need to seek out. It even supplies Volt and other coffee shops. Sorry, I just don’t get the attraction here.

This is a low-key place that serves myriad of coffees and teas, in a variety of end products. They also make made-to-order breakfast sandwiches which are quite tasty and the service is excellent. The aromas are welcoming and the atmosphere is calm and relaxing. This was a fun find on a cold winter morning. Will go back, if only to see what other types of coffee, tea and snack trouble exists.

Gotta jump on the Unilocal bandwagon once again. Baltimore Coffee & Tea is fantastic. Their coffee is wonderful and they also sell tea as well. The Jasmine Green Tea is excellent. Amazing service and cozy vibe.

Great breakfast/lunch place. Relaxed atmosphere with quiet music and a very open concept. The place smells great with all the various coffee beans and the food is good too. Got the little Italy sandwich which was one of the best Italian sandwiches I’ve had and also go the tuna melt which was good. The coffee is so good too… one of the better café lattes I’ve had. Also they have a great selection of teas and coffees for purchase.

This place is out of control good. I didn’t know it existed, but it’s just what I’ve been searching for. It smells like coffee! Real coffee! And they have big bags of coffee, where you can buy by the pound… just like a real coffee shop! If you are looking for a more authentic alternative to Starbucks, this is your place. I even suspect its *gasp* family owned, and a *bigger gasp* Maryland based business! Dear god in heaven, this might be coffee mecca. They also happen to have SLAMMIN coffee cake. Their menu is large and everything looks delicious. My husband and I, after our visit this morning, are considering moving to the Ballenger Creek area in order to be closer to this coffee shop. Seriously.

Friendly staff — Really good iced coffee — WITHALMONDMILK! Salad was pretty good. Staff was very very friendly. I am taking a star away for hours and a they are a little out of my way so hard to get to for me. I think the staff and everything else was wonderful and I thoroughly enjoyed! Open earlier and stay later :) Pastries looked good but was having the kinda day to afford those calories!
