We visited on a house hunting trip. Seemed to be a place that a lot of regulars come to as we were recognized as not being from around the area. Staff was very friendly and recommended a couple of things on the menu. My wife tried the sautéed brussels sprouts and said they were the best she’s ever had. I thought they were second best to Spike Africa’s in San Diego. I felt Atlantic Grilled cheated a little because they slice their sprouts up while Spike Africa’s was able to get the flavor in the sprout and keep it whole. My entrée was the crab cake and it was delicious. This was the first crab cake I had in Maryland and it definitely made me a believer in Maryland crab cakes. As advertised.

Here you have a neighborhood style bar/restaurant in a strip center in the middle of a brand new development. We stopped in for a late lunch and sat at the bar. It was kinda noisy but it was an NFL playoff game day. Some of the patrons had spent a fair amount of time there that day but I digress. Staff was very competent & friendly. I had the steak & onions(think small cheese steak sub) with fries. My girlfriend had a house salad & hummus. Everything was delicious and served quickly. Not sure about the bad reviews — maybe we caught them on a good day? If we ever find our way to Urbana again we’ll be sure to stop in.

First visit here. Atmosphere A. Food C. service D. My hot button … trying to get the waitress’s attention, but she’s texting or internet surfing, can’t tell which. Had to get up to get her attention. The sweet potato fries are good, but you get what I consider a very meager portion for $ 4. Suggestion to restaurant … charge $ 5 and double the portion. The«Special Sub» was dry and not special at all(why do they call it that? … no idea) I’ll try them again, everyone deserves a second or third try.

Had the burger, my friend had the Hawaiian flat bread, both were good but not mind blowing. Nice atmosphere, but the service was on the slow side.

I have mixed emotions about our Atlantic Grille experience. We popped in for lunch after visiting a local petting farm and for the most part enjoyed our meals. My caesar salad was pretty yummy and the chicken and shrimp pasta was also pretty good. My son had the child’s pizza which I found completely flavorless but he didn’t complain. Of the other people in our party, the burgers were reported as being decent as well as the crab soup. I think the problem here is the service. It’s just not very friendly at all. The lady we had was just super dry and very short with everyone. They just seemed like they had better places to be which amounted to a weird vibe, I guess. Oh well, I guess this place served its purpose overall. We don’t live super close so I probably won’t go out of my way to eat here again.

Food is consistently good here. The staff and servers are very friendly as well. The Atlantic crab delight is my favorite dish along with the cream of crab soup, and my wife likes all the seafood options. Only real place to get quality seafood in Urbana. Bar is clean and nice with an above average beer selection. This is our usual spot in the area.

After going weekly for trivia night for a year, I showed up one day to find that trivia had been canceled. I was very disappointed to have not been given warning the week before they decided to cancel to say not to bother showing up.

We like this place for a quick stop after karate. It’s reliable and has a good selection. Not exactly fine dining, but works well for the kiddos. Clean and friendly.

I really never feel the need to come here again. We stopped by on the way home from Costco. The Munchkin’s(Kraft) Mac n cheese set us back $ 8. The drink order was taken almost right away, but it was taken three times. As we waited for drinks, three different staffers put off taking our food order; it was about 20 minutes before anyone actually took our food order. And it wasn’t busy, only 6 tables were occupied. Hubs and I both got steak and cheese… otherwise named steak-ums. Total bill $ 45. We won’t be back.

I had to write a review for this restaurant as I feel like places like this need to go away or step up their game. I felt cheated by the whole experience. Deceptively upscale looking restaurant disguising a middle school cafeteria. After ordering, we were offered what were described as «dinner rolls». I nearly shattered my grill on these rock solid torpedoes of death. For our main meal we ordered the seafood platter, fish and chips, and 2 kids pizzas. The seafood platter was minuscule, bland, and way too expensive. That was the ongoing theme for the rest of this meal. Garbage food at premium prices. The fish and chips looked and tasted straight of the box from Giant’s freezer section.(It is practically next door). The kids barely touched the«pizza». Their desserts consisted of a snack pack and a bag of Oreos(I’m assuming they picked these up on the same Giant run). I wouldn’t have minded the $ 60 tab if the food was at least tolerable. The only bright side was the good service. Not enough for me to ever consider returning there.

My co-worker told me about this place, first order to go was wrong and I was irritated at myself for not checking my bag prior to leaving. I convinced myself to go back for the cream of crab soup I initially ordered and to my edification, it was exactly what I imagined, taste bud wise, the base is strong and price is reasonable. The only feedback would be to add more crabmeat. Otherwise this is a delicious treat for myself after a long day of work. I hope I’ll have time in the future to sit in and enjoy a good meal.

It is a casual place with excellent food. My husband and I were passing through on I 270 and decided to get off on exit 26. We both had crab dishes — both were great. Our neighboring tables food also looked awesome. Dinner for two — 50 $ and crab no less … Who knew!

Nice, casual place in Urbana. We came in as a party of four on a Sunday and sat in the dining room. Dining room is spacious and décor is modern. We ordered the crab pretzel which was ok, the pretzel center was a little cold but the rest of the pretzel and cheesy crab topping was very good. My in-laws liked the french onion soup. My father-in-law and I ordered the chicken Chesapeake which taste exactly like I would expect it to taste, and it was rather large so I boxed up half to take home. We also had sweet potato fries on the side which were excellent and tasty. The balsamic dressing(house) was tasty and the salad is chopped up well, so no awkward large lettuce bites :) and the croutons were buttery! My husband had the double crab cakes, coleslaw, and sweet potato fries which he thought was good for the price, but smaller and wetter than what we are use to in Baltimore. My mother-in-law had the Reuben sandwich, she said the meat was a little dry but was not chewy and the french fries are the good double-fried deli fries. We came here because we had a coupon, but the prices were very reasonable and we’ll definitely be back for a family meal again. I was happy to support local, Towson alum business owners!

A desperate measure for sure. Food OK if you get what you order and the order is taken properly, but there is a habit of servers trying to do the«I’m so veteran I don’t need to write your order down»…Inevitably, the order is not placed or the good comes out incorrectly. Scenario: THEONLY customers in the restaurant on a Saturday morning, the waitress takes our orders verbally and lo and behold, the simplest order, a pizza, can’t make it out of the kitchen in a timely fashion. Eat at your own risk, and if you get your food in a timely fashion and your order is not forgotten, consider yourself lucky. I did get a free drink out of it, but I’m hungry as hell.

This place is great for a meal that you know is going to be good every time. They have great prices for lunch, you can get a meal with an app and a main course and be out for under $ 20. I’m totally obsessed with their crab bisque, I get it every time I go! The atmosphere is great, although sometimes the bar can get a little loud. Their waiting staff is really great also, I’ve never had a bad experience.

Brought a friend here last night. Quiet, even for a Thursday, but as she guessed, I’m sure many people were at BWW for football. We ordered a couple drinks, she ordered an Orange Crush, and I got my normal vodka and tonic, 2 limes. Both were really good. Started off with the crab pretzel. I am pretty sure they use some sort of frozen pretzel for this, but it was still really good. Lots of crab and cheese. I asked for a recommendation on a «light dinner» and the recommended the flat bread. I ordered the seafood flat bread and my friend, the chicken, bacon and ranch flat bread. My light dinner was loaded with cream, cheese and seafood. Absolutely delicious, absolutely a heavy option… oops. Service was good, fresh rolls out of the oven, quiet ambiance, got a couple rounds of drink orders promptly. Took away 1 star for closing at 9pm… boo. Will definitely be back to this neighborhood establishment!

The food here was spectacular I had the chicken Chesapeake it was amazing perfectly seasoned and just delicious. For sides I had the. Brussel sprouts which are cooked in a Thai chili sauce and they are great I usually hate brussel sprouts but tried them on the servers recommendation and they were awesome, rice pilaf was great too. The crab pretzel as an appetizer was delicious also had the Cream Of crab soup very creamy with lots of crab. My girlfriend had the florentine pasta that was one of the weekly specials and it was really delicious. Will definitely be back food was borderline orgasmic. I don’t even give Unilocal reviews but was so satisfied with my dining experience I was driven to give a review and let everyone know about this place. Servers name was joe and he was great and I had to personally give my compliments to the chef and the manager. Tried it on a whim after finding it on Unilocal and will be back for sure!

Finally tried Atlantic Grille based on my clientele’s recommendations(I work in the neighborhood.) For lunch I got the Asian chicken salad, my coworker got the Veggie burger and another coworker got the Atlantic salad. My Asian chicken Salad was delicious, the crispy wontons added a much needed crunch factor to the mostly soft salad. I think the salad would’ve done better with romaine lettuce rather than spring greens but that’s my personal preference. The sesame seeds added a delicious asian flavor, some of the lettuce pieces were wilted but it wasn’t terribly bad, the shredded cabbage balanced the soft lettuce out. The grilled chicken lacked seasoning but wasn’t dry. The dressing that came with the salad was a sweet chili sauce, much more of a dipping sauce than a dressing. Overall, decent salad; pricey for its proportion($ 11.99) but it was decent. My coworker didn’t much enjoy his veggie burger but it was his first ever so I assume he didn’t know what to expect. I tried a piece and it lacked seasoning, the components of the veggie burger itself was good(corn, black bean) but needed something more to brighten it up. My other coworker didn’t enjoy her Atlantic Salad much, she said the raspberry vinaigrette atop the candied walnuts and strawberries made the salad way too sweet and it didn’t pair well with the grilled salmon. I would come here again to try the dinner menu but the lunch experience overall was mediocre at best. Could’ve been much better executed.

A co-worker told me about her dining experience at the Atlantic Grille so I decided to go there for dinner one night. DHand I dined here May 21st, 2014 and had a very good meal. I ordered the evening special: Scallops«Provencal»($ 19.99). There were seven medium sized fresh seared scallops, in which they were topped with a rich and tasty bacon-tomato-butter wine sauce. I chose the rice pilaf and Caesar salad as my two sides. Everything was delicious and filling. DH had the king cut prime rib served with au jus(Wednesday night feature for about $ 24); along with onion rings and the Caesar salad. It did look like the prime rib was pre-cooked and re-warmed(not the ideal way to serve prime rib), but DH really enjoyed it; I tasted it and it was tender and flavorful. Wednesday night features ½ price bottles of wine, so we chose a Pinot Grigio. I met Nathan(he manages their FB page), as I was posting on FB my food photos to the restaurant’s page. We talked for a few minutes and he appreciated my photos and comments. Our server was Billy and he was friendly and attentive. My only negative comment is the noise level, but Nathan told me they are working out the problem. There’s a wall that divides the dining room and bar area(top half is glass or plexi-glass). We were eating dinner during a trivia game so the bar was quite loud. They plan to add a door or somehow seal off the area so that the dining room can have a quieter atmosphere. Overall, a very nice dinner with very food and reasonable prices. Looking forward to going back for dinner, even for lunch.
