Yes, it’s a chain. But come on, how can you go wrong with croissant eggs benedict? Yes… eggs benny on a croissant rather than an english muffin. REALLY. And yes, it’s delicious! Thanks to our server for making such a sweet recommendation… and for keeping the coffee coming to thwart our hangovers from the concert at Flying Dog the night before…

First time coming to Mimi. I had heard mix reviews and wanted to see for myself. First impressions the place has a pleasant rustic appearance full of old paintings, wall murals, high back booths, and plenty of open space. My meal which was an omelette was decent nothing out of the ordinary. Price was on par with a lot of the typical breakfast spots that most people frequent. I particularly thought the muffin that came with the meal was special. It was the highlight of the meal. I only wish my waitresses was more attentive in providing me the same level of service experienced one booth down from me. Apparently there is some marketing promo that gives new patrons of the establishment a chance to try out there signature muffins. I however was not afforded this opportunity even after stating that I enjoyed my first visit to my waitress just before paying the check. I assure you I don’t probably fit the profile of their typical patron but despite that give away it just wasn’t enough to warrant the same hospitality. What a shame.

Not a fan. They are getting 2 stars because the food was ok, but they placed failed on many levels. We went for breakfast, and with only 2 of 4 people having coffee, the bill with tips was $ 6t0 — for breakfast — eggs and bacon. Despite having a sign out front breakfast starting at $ 5.99 Its a quaint place, linen and tea parties, They had two waitresses covering 10 – 12 tables, Service was a little slow, but we weren’t in a hurry. It did take a fair amount of time to get our food, and they got 3 out of 4 orders correct. The food was ok, nothing that special or different. We should have gone to IHOP.

Cute place, nice atmosphere. Unfortunately except for one experienced server, this must be one of the most poorly run restaurants in Frederick. In the evenings it is deserted, but for some reason service is still very slow. Heaven help you if you go on a Sunday morning when it is busy. I was with friends and tried to look at it as a positive thing that we had lots of time to sit and talk. Our server was very sweet and efficient, but just stretched too thin. Apparently several people hadn’t showed up for work on that day. Food overall is quite good, they have some neat specials and the portions are large(if not inexpensive). Rumor has it they have been bought out. Once can only hope that they concentrate on staffing and service if they make changes.

We were excited after looking at the menu and pictures, but sadly, they are false advertising. The staff was friendly, but the food was definitely subpar. The French Toast was just OK. The eggs were a bit rubbery, like they’d been sitting under a heat lamp maybe. Too bad, because the restaurant had a nice atmosphere and a great looking menu but just did not deliver.

Avoid this location! I likes the Mimi’s in Sterling, but this location is awful. Servers were too busy gathered in the kitchen arguing over who will go buy cigarettes to keep up with the 3 tables who were there for dinner. Sent my entrée back and was quizzed by the server why I would ever want to do that, it looked so good(um, no.). Manager took $ 2 off the bill. Long story short – avoid.

Yesterday evening I was meeting a friend at Mimi’s for dinner. I arrived a little bit early and was immediately seated. The restaurant only had 2 other occupied tables with numerous servers. After being seated, I patiently waited for someone to come by and get my drink order. Even though I was waiting for another person to arrive I was hoping to get a glass of wine to enjoy while I waited, however 10 minutes passed and not only did my server never arrive, at least 4 – 5 other servers passed me and never stopped to ask if I would like a drink. Once my dinner companion arrived we still had to wait another 5 minutes before a server finally arrived at our table. The young lady who waited on us was incredibly flakey, and took her a long time to get back to the table with an answer to a question I had about the wine tasting. So, 20 – 25 minutes after my initial arrival to the restaurant I FINALLY had the glass of wine I wanted. Sadly, the waitress mixed up the wine tasting and wasn’t able to tell me which wine was in which glass. I drank them anyway but the novelty of the tasting was basically ruined(luckily it only cost me $ 5 so I wasn’t going to make a big deal out of it). When we ordered, my friend and I order the same Harvest salad with grilled chicken. However, when they were dropped off at the table we immediately realized that we were given 2 different salads, one was the Harvest salad and the other had strawberries and blue cheese. Because we were on a time crunch to see a movie I offered to eat the«wrong» salad. Eventually our server came back to ask about the meal and I informed her that one of the salads was wrong, but that I would eat it anyway. She went to the kitchen and grabbed the«correct» salad from the window and brought it to me, with a half-hearted apology… however the salad she did bring to me was lacking the chicken that I ordered. Realizing that this was a losing battle, I scooped off the chicken from the wrong salad and added to the one I initially ordered just so we could wrap up the meal and get out of there. Overall, I think I understand why every time I go into this particular Mimi’s it is a ghost town. There is no excuse for the poor service or ill-trained staff when the restaurant was clearly not busy at all. Despite the convenient location to my home and the lovely outdoor seating that is perfect for brunch, I have no desire to return as this is not the first time we have had sub-par service. I have eaten at several other Mimi’s Cafes in Florida and they are far better than this one.

This was the absolute worst dining experience I’ve ever had! For starters, we walk in and we’re not even greeted. The hostess are gathered around the stand gossiping and when we finally say«two please» they just kind of stare at us. When we get to our seat, it takes a few minutes for the waitress to come to the table, okay not a huge deal. We both order waters, the waitress drops them off without a word and leaves. TWENTYMINUTESLATER, she finally comes back and asks our order! By this point, I don’t even want to order I just want to leave but stupidly enough I order. My fiancé and I both order different salads and after the waitress walked away I decided I wanted a mimosa and a soup to add to my order. My drink is empty too. I kept looking for her to let her know and she was in the back talking to the waitresses! FORTY minutes later she finally comes with our salads. At this point, I’m not even going to waste my time ordering the other stuff. My salad was disgusting. The bacon was dry and difficult to eat and the feta tasted old, I only ate four bites before I gave up. The waitress then never comes by to ask about the food or refill my drinks, instead she just drops off the check and walks away. I’ve never been treated so horribly by a waitress before! My fiancé and I were in disbelief. Basically, the food was disgusting and nothing like described and the service there was horrible. I will never be back and will pass the word about my experience.

Decent food, and nice atmosphere. Will come here when I am in the mood for a soup and sandwich, because everything else is overpriced.

Mimi’s has updated and changed their menus. Nice French touch to the whole menu item. Less choices but nether less all was very good. Bradley was our waiter and he was wonderful! polite, funny and very knowledgeable about most all of the menu items. Cudos to Bradley! Also a shout out to the FCOB singers! They came and for those who wanted a Christmas, they sang some for you. really a wonderful touch!

We came in on a Saturday afternoon and were given the brunch menu. Neither of us was really in the mood for brunch, but meh. The waiter was attentive which was a perk. The food was pretty decent, but now as I write this, I can’t remember anything in particular about the meal that stood out from any other restaurant. We did notice a couple seated after us by about 10 minutes were given the choice of brunch or lunch menu.

My experiences with Mimi’s in Jacksonville FL was always a pleasant experience. With that being said, the Mimi’s in Frederick was a poor reenactment of a great establishment and the only similarity is the layout. I sat down after 2 and assumed to have service in a timely fashion. I odered something basic: Le burger du fromage(cheeseburger) and fries. Obviously I’m no food critique but I know how to assemble a burger. My plate arrived later than normal with a soggy bun, wilted lettuce and a thousand Island greasey mess. Also they are stingy with fries. My wife got the mussel soup that tasted on par with Campbell’s. My son’s Mac and cheese was hardened and cold. The stove top quality reminded me of my high school days where I would forget to remove the pot from the stove. Lastly, the sweet tea tasted like the bottom of the pot.

Food was less than steller, though my sandwich was fine, everyone with me complained about premade-frozen and shipped and microwaved to luke warm prior to serving. Though our waiter was good, the wine we had was so-so. One of our party, said that other locations elsewhere were not great, and this one proved that.

This is the upscale chain of Bob Evans. It’s quite nice inside and is open early for breakfast as well as lunch and dinner. I have had all three meals here and can say that breakfast is not as good as the offering at IHOP nearby, so I would disregard it unless IHOP and Cracker Barrel are too full and you don’t have time to wait. For lunch and dinner, it’s not bad. Food is mostly of the American comfort variety, with some slightly French touches. Soups tend to be good. They often three course meals sometimes which can be a fair value, and while I haven’t seen it in a while, they have sent us some very generous coupons in the past which encourage us to eat there. In the absence of the coupons, it wouldn’t really occur to me to eat here since the food is so unremarkable. They do offer small inexpensive dessert choices, which tend to be quite good(particularly the bread pudding). They also oddly push their muffins with every meal, which doesn’t really tempt me. Service is very mixed, we’ve had some good servers and more frequently some who are not too competent and forget to bring us items or check on us. Overall, this is forgettable chain fare, but I’ll give it a generous three stars because of the nice ambience and it’s perfectly adequate(when they offer a coupon, anyway).

This place used to be a pretty decent chain. Lately, though, the quality has taken a nosedive. Shrinking portions and rising prices, items that bear no resemblance to their menu description, lazy cooking, missing ingredients. I foolishly decided to give them another chance anyways. Tonight was the straw that broke the camel’s back. This place is a joke. I’ve had better food in middle school cafeterias. I made a to go order — 5 way grilled cheese, 2 french onion soups, and a petite bread pudding. When I got home, I was greeted by a grilled cheese half the size it used to be – the bread was soggy and totally untoasted and there was no parmesan crust like the menu description, and hardly any cheese. Just sad looking, complimented by a pitiful amount of fries. How do you screw up a grilled cheese? Our two french onion soups were another real joke — one had no cheese or bread and was just broth in a cup. The other had NOSOUP. Literally, I was served a cup with 2 tiny pieces of bread/croûton and 2 slices of cheese stuffed in it. WHO is running the kitchen in this place? Oh, and the bread pudding was missing the sauce and horribly dry. The whole order was an utter disaster and complete waste of money. I won’t be back.

The crab cake benedict was edible. The home fries on the side, however, were extraordinarily salty. I tried slicing just the potato skin off of one tiny home fry cube, and just that made my mouth tingle with sodium. I had to drink half a large glass of water just to correct my body’s salinity. Over the next few days, I think I’ve come up with how they did it. I think they brined the uncooked potato cubes at least overnight, then sprayed the cubes with a super saturated sodium solution, then somehow added more salt during cooking. I would guess that a mere five or six home fry cubes would constitute a lethal dose of sodium. That’s not cool, Mimi’s.

Mimi’s is a good establishment in a shopping center full of many choices. They offer certain dishes for approx $ 5 if I recall correctly that can be grouped together for a meal. They have a fulfilling jambalaya, that has varying meats and seafood. Some of the other offerings are typical of American cuisine. Although, the take out order I placed one time was incorrect when I opened the food up at home

Before coming here I was told Mimi’s isn’t bad, but it’s not memorable either. And that’s exactly what it was. I came here on a Saturday night and it wasn’t too busy. I got the strawberry sparkling wine which really wasn’t sparkling. Carbonated yes, but no fizz like champagne. Still tasted ok, though… As for the food, now that I think about it… I can’t even remember what I got! That’s how forgettable it was. Oh, it was a burger. Had to think about it for a minute :) They had a 3 course for $ 14 menu. The soup appetizer was actually really the best part of the meal. It was a tomato basil bisque and probably could have eaten that for my entire meal. The burger was eh, a burger. And I got the brownie to go. As for the menu in entirety, it has a lot on it. It’s hard to focus in on one section and it kind of makes it hard to decide what to have. It’s like an upscale diner. If you want it, they got it! But it doesn’t necessarily mean that you’re going to love it.

We’ve been to other Mimi’s and this one fit the mold of the others. Our family of 5 went for breakfast, and all were satisfied. However, at over $ 10 a person, including one toddler, the price is steeper than at some other equally good restaurants. Décor is reminiscent of a French café. Waitress was friendly and efficient. Food was good with some more unusual offereings. It is nice to see fresh fruit as an option. We were treated well. We could sit and talk easily. The coffee was refilled frequently. The food was good. We were happy.
