I used to love Land’s End product, still do, but ever since Sears bought them out and started in a downwards spiral that now has them closing several stores, they have taken Land’s End with them. Outside of the appliance department it is next to impossible to find some help, particularly in apparel. Moreover, when you can find someone, it seems they can’t answer my questions without asking someone else. On one trip, I went to look around electronics(and get information on setting up a Sears wedding registry) and when I found someone they were relaxing watching TV in the Electronics department… that would have gotten me fired from a previous job I had(though he did answer my questions)! Another time when I went by to have my car battery replaced, they did an alignment check on my car without my permission and then they tell me my alternator is not operating properly… funny how the dealer never mentioned that, yeah right. It is no wonder that Sears is suffering right now, their customer service is appalling. I dropped them as a possibility for a wedding registry after all the horror stories I heard about their registry system. In the end Sears has fallen from grace and if they do not rethink the way they do things, they will be joining Best Buy in a future bankruptcy, albeit for different reasons.
