Quite possibly the worst family dining experience I’ve ever had. I have 2 little kids so I order my dine in pizza before heading to the restaurant. I ordered the pizza at 5:50pm, arrived at 6:20 and it still took another ½ hour to get the pizza. Here’s the kicker… after asking several times what’s up with the pizza it came to our table COLD! The ditzy waitress said, «What do you want me to do, put it back in the oven?» Wait, what??? Let me also add, I was not offered a high chair or any bread for my kids that were starving at that point. I ordered pasta to hold them over which also came… cold. What’s wrong with these people? Can’t they cook? To take the cake our bill was wrong and there was no apology for this hot mess of a pizza place. What a shame, the old Positano’s on Fullerton was a favorite of mine growing up. Don’t bother with this place.

So I wanted to give this place more stars today, but just didn’t have the best dine in experience today with my coworkers. We had a group of 9, and we wanted to celebrate together of working out together with a nice lunch. That didn’t happen. We were given water glasses, but didn’t get water till about 15 minutes after being sat. One of us ordered apple juice, only to have to keep asking for it, for her to tell us they didn’t’ have any. It was noon on a Friday, you would think we were there on a lunch break. We didn’t get asked what we wanted either till about 25 minutes after we sat down. Around 1:10 an hour after we arrived, portions of the food came out and most of us had to take our«salads» to go and back to work, while the rest of us dined in. Our problem was not so much with the restaurant, the cleanliness, the atmosphere at all, it was the service. The waitress, and her name is ANA did not even look us in the eye as we asked for to go boxes, or the fact that it has taken over 30 minutes for a salad. It’s a shame that we all left with a grudge. I mean I just got finished writing a review about how awesome my waitress was at an establishment in Villa Park, just the night before. Also– grub hub and the menu says the the Chicken Wrap doesn’t come with anything, and it does it actually comes with a side of fries, so when you dine in or pick up, don’t order an extra side of fries. This restaurant needs to update their menu’s’ for lunch. Customer service is everything!

The pizza is good. We especially enjoy the pan. Which is the ONLY reason we order from them. The customer service is just awful. The staff is clueless. They put you on hold to ask somebody something every time you have a question or request. Sometimes a guy gets on the phone and he is always so annoyed with anything that’s asked. We have actually cancelled our order because of this. Delivery is always a hassle of some sort. Ie. «delivery driver has left for the night»(at 7:45). I’m guessing only one person there drives a car because we live 7 blocks away. «We can’t take any orders because we close at 9.» Even during Stanley cup playoffs(Who does that?) They never make ordering easy. The staff doesn’t knows what the specials are and it takes forever to order. We like the pizza but hate dealing with them. I truly hope that they get it together.

Positano’s was good at first but now we’re having trouble with delivered Pizza. This is supposed to ba an Italian restaurant, so why when I call to order, do I have to speak to someone with a Spanish accent whom I can’t understand and can’t understand what I’m ordering. Not a good business practice!!!

I haven’t eaten at the restaurant before but my sister orders pizza from them every Friday and it’s always hot, good and fresh. My niece had her birthday party not so close, but they still delivered, got there on time, the pizza was hot and the delivery lady waited for me until I got there. She was really nice about waiting for me since I was running late to the party. Great pizza.

It was my first time coming here and I was recommended by a friend so we went here for a girls night out. It was pretty dead(it was 2 hrs before closing on a Sunday) but I’m happy because I hate it when you have to yell your conversation. It was very homey, the waitresses were nice and attentive. The cheesy garlic bread is so yummy, not over done, not overly garlic and not greasy which was nice. I ordered the frutti di mare and it was absolutely delish! Ginormous portion and worth thr $ 21 because I have lunch for tomorrow now! All the shellfish shells were open which was a huge complaint that I had to a previous Italian establishment in Park Ridge, the sauce was light and not too tomatoey like some others I’ve had in the past. We had a bottle of moscato and a triple chocolate cake for desert. My friend and I decided to do a GNO here once a month. Yum! Thank you guys for the great food and service. We look forward to coming back!

Loved it! Their dining room has a great atmosphere, perfect for date night. They have a separate area for people getting take out. My boyfriend and I got the fried cheese ravioli with marinara sauce for an appetizer. I’ve never had that before but it was pretty tasty. Our waitress also brought us some incredibly soft bread and olive oil. We shared a thin crust pepperoni pizza, which we really enjoyed. It had fresh basil on top. We had to fight over leftovers the next day. I didn’t care too much for my pinot grigio, but that’s not the restaurant’s fault. Oh and we didn’t realize until the bill came that Mondays and Tuesdays are ½ off pizza days. Score! We’d definitely go back.

I was nervous to try this place because of all the negative reviews that I read. I’m glad I tried it for myself! The service was awesome, very attentive, could be because they weren’t really busy, but very good regardless. The food was good, although the chicken soup did not have much flavor. The stuffed shells that I had, and the veal Parmesan were very good. The lobster ravioli that my mom had was good, but she said you didn’t taste the lobster. All in all, very pleased with the food and atmosphere.

On Mondays and Tuesdays they have half price pizza with purchase of a soda. The pizza is good, pasta dishes are fine & I like the Caesar salad(not a hard salad to make). We really like the warm bread with oil and parmesan served when were seated. The place is clean and bathrooms are nice. Never too crowded and kid friendly. Staff is nice. I would recommend this place because it is a nice sit down restaurant and the food is good. There are not many nice restaurants in Franklin park. Enjoy!

I found this through and I liked my lobster ravioli. We also had the seafood and it was very good, nice size portions. The prices are very good as well. The service was a little slow and the waiter forgot a couple of things and had to go back to get them and he wasn’t in any hurry to return to our table. If your looking for a classic Italian restaurant with a New York trained chef you’re not going to find it here, but for the money I thought the food was good. It’s worth a look if your in the neighborhood.

4 stars for the awesome pizza… consistently awesome. This has become our main pizza place ever since our old pizza place of 20 years failed to make a consistently quality pizza. Service here is great the majority of the time. We haven’t tried the beef or sausage or combos but they look great. Now the reason for not giving 5 stars. They don’t know how to make Italian food! We have tried about 5 different times and they are consistent here as well… consistently BAD. Meat is frozen, sauces and gravy canned. I suggest they go to an Italian restaurant to taste real Italian food. Jim & Petes for example. But still a must go for the Pizza.

The service was ok, little slow at first, but then our food came out fast and our waiter checked on us a few times. Lasagna was ok, nothing special. The fetuccini alfredo was pretty good with chicken. I’d come back.

The food was absolutely terrible. Calamari tasted frozen, marinara sauce came out of a jar. Not worth the $ 10. The chicken parm tasted frozen as well, same jar sauce. Lobster ravioli, again, tasted frozen. Sugar laced sauce. The only thing that tasted homemade was their cream of chicken soup, and it was disgusting and bland. I don’t think there is an actual chef back there. I only gave this place a try because I picked up a gift certificate, and I absolutely regret it. This place was a waste of my money. We left and drove to another restaurant in the neighborhood to have dinner instead. In terms of ambiance, they seem to have some sort of alien blinding device installed in their dining room for lighting. SP reference, in case you didn’t catch that. Definitely not date night atmosphere. Apparently the bathroom is nice and clean though. Lastly, we were never given silverware with our food so we had to take some off an empty table nearby. We will not be dining here again.

I’m pretty disappointed! The service was so slow! We were the ONLY table in the place having dinner and there were two servers working(we were a party of 4). Our server was slow to take our order, bring our food not to mention all of our food didn’t even make it out at the same time. To me that’s a big NO-NO! It’s horrible sitting there with your food in front of you steaming hot while there are others sitting there waiting for their food. Our server also forgot to bring a glass of wine that was ordered again let me say we were the ONLY table in there how do you forget to bring a glass of wine to your table?!! The food was alright nothing that will draw me back to dine in there again.

Decent neighborhood place. However, has anyone noticed the price hikes? It seems like they just keep going up and the food just stays pretty average. I want to love this place but darn it, I would rather pay a substantial amount less but get a significant amount more. Ok — so I was working on this 3 star review but never finished. Bad for Positano’s. I had their pizza again this weekend and could barely tell the difference between their ingredients and that of Grand Stand(a local greasy pizza place). I hope they read this. Please stop jacking up your prices and giving people tasteless pizza. I honestly felt like I could have run to Little Caesar’s and been more satisfied with the price I paid. The sauce is uninspired, the crust was BLAND and the toppings were cheap. I will be going elsewhere. I gave you two stars because you have nice staff. And I just could not bear to give a single star. I am nostalgic to your former glory.

Yeaaaahhh… you lost me, Positano’s. Service was s-l-o-w-w-w on our last visit. The food, just okay. I had not been in for a while and this visit was not a good one. Sigh… we just really need to see other people…

I found this little hidden gem randomly when I had a huge craving for some Italian food at work. I came here during my lunch hour with my friend and was pleasantly surprised by how empty the place was(I didn’t want to have to wait long for a seat or anything like that). I was very happy with the variety of selection there was on the menu — many different pastas, pesce and chicken dishes available. I ended up going for the lasagna, and it was absolutely delicious! I’ve been working at my company for 6 years and can’t believe I never knew this place was right down the street. I’ve told my other co-workers about it and we all definitely plan on coming back here. I hope they’re ready for more business coming their way!

All right. It is confirmed that linguine with shrimp and broccoli is our go-to meal here. Pork chops was a mistake. Over-cooked and lack of flavors. Angel hair with Alfredo sauce was cream but a bit salty.

I have been back a few more times and the service is always great. What a shame that not too many people seem to know about this place. The last time I went, I ordered the salmon and have to say that it was disappointing. Definitely stick to the Italian dishes on the menu, which impress. Their thin crust pizza is pretty good — the crust was crispy and I liked the sauce. The bread they serve is always tasty — they must get it fresh from the bakery next door. One thing worth mentioning is the bathroom. I have never seen such a pristine bathroom in any restaurant I have gone to. Not only it is beautifully decorated, it is clean. This speaks volumes to the hygiene of the restaurant altogether. I will be back– this is the perfect place for a Sunday dinner and it’s close to home.
