Atmosphere /décor excellent — food /service so so — a bit overpriced for average food. I had the meatlover’s omelet … looked like a two egg omelet, homefries soft /soggy. Single pancake was above average, my wife had a BLT — fries had a different taste. Coffee — I would rate below average. Waiter seemed to disappear and when he came around for refills, it was still another 10 min wait. One and done.

Great decorating inside. Pretty loud but the food was delish. The server was very nice but could use some retraining. We waited time and time again for drink refills. Eggs cooked to perfection which is not always the case. The home fries were amazing!

We love this place. It’s a definite gem in Downtown Framingham. The décor is wonderful, the food is plentiful, well prepared and well presented. The serving staff is friendly and aims to please. We’ve had everything from breakfast at any Time of day, to sandwiches, to dinner entrees. Always reliable and well prepared. I would definitely recommend this place.

This is the worst place. Twice I ordered pancakes for take out and they didn’t even give me syrup. Who does that. I’ll never go back here again and I’ll be sure to tell everyone I know not to go. They are the worst.

This place has been renovated and it looks 100% better than it has ever looked. The menu offers a wide range of items breakfast, lunch and dinner. The prices are a bit higher than one might expect for a diner in downtown Framingham. When a customer orders a cheeseburger club but the chef forgets the bacon you are serving a cheeseburger with a lot of bread. 3 pieces of bread and 1 burger patty = RIPOFF! Framingham offers a lot of other diners and choices for dinner at a much more reasonable price.

Sit your self(literally) down and look at the menu from breakfast to dinner. Settled in to have some potato pancakes, sausage and hot coffee. The potato pancakes were fresh from the fryer and the sausage was cold. The sausage had a grilled taste and while it was nice, didn’t hold a true heated taste. Bathrooms are downstairs and had no atmosphere at all.(Mind you even a poster on the walls would be interesting!). Coffee was the best thing on the menu. Calls for possibly another try, but at the prices, cheaper to eat at home. Quick service did help us get out quick. My wife had eggs Benedict and could taste the hollandaise was not a freshly made one. More like a mix(just add water). The side of home fries was cold too. Her home fries and my sausages went back and my sausage came back with a huge plate of new home fries. No flavor bad taste in the mouth and come to think of f it I was going to give them two stars but now I’m going to lower it to one star.

I did not like the servers there it was very poor and slow. The people that were serving us were not very helpful or nice they kept ruining our orders. The food was not very good. The burger I got was very over cooked. I would not recommend this place.

My husband, 15 month old and I attempted to come here about a couple of months ago on a Sunday around 11 to discover a 45 minute wait. Due to the lack of waiting area(along with a 15 month old) we decided to go to Frescafe. A few weeks later we tried again on a Saturday morning and were promptly seated. The problem is that they don’t have high chairs. They sat us in the corner and assembled one of those baby seats that attaches to the table. This type of seat is not ok for any child over 6 months old. it’s a very tiny seat and our little guy isn’t big by any means. Apparently this was the only option for baby/toddler seating, so we had to leave. and went to Frescafe again. Frescafe, on the other hand, is extremely child friendly. My note to the owner/manager– invest in a few wooden high chairs, otherwise you’re excluding one of Framingham’s largest demographics– young families!

Sitting at the bar was our first mistake. Flying ants all over the bar top. The bartender was clearly overwhelmed as we waited for everything we needed. Including refills on drinks which took nearly ten minutes. The drinks which, as stated on the menu, that came with the meal, apparently did not. We were charged an extra $ 6 for coffee that should have been included. The food came out fast. Other than the timeliness of the food the rest was not great. Overall a subpar experience.

Visited for the first time tonight. Awesome experience. All the workers are friendly and very welcoming. The atmosphere was awesome. The food was great! None of us ordered breakfast, but we will be returning specifically for breakfast one of these days. I can’t rave about this place enough! Awesome first impression! We will be back.

I found this place because our«go to» places were packed. This place is a gem The setting is a converted train depot. The place has tons of character and plenty of space for good times with friends, family or both. The service was awesome. We were in an extreme rush and they worked to accommodate us. Now on to the food. I got the veggie omelet and it was great. You can either have potatoes or a beautiful green leafy salad. My partner had the flapjacks — full stack. Nice large portions, fluffy, and perfect. I really enjoyed this find. We will be back.

I wanted to like this place, I really did. It’s a diner, it’s close, and it is in a converted beautiful old train station. We got there around 5 on a Saturday night. We were seated promptly, but then waited a long time for a waitress to come by an acknowledge our presence. She told us it was her first day so we’ll cut her some slack. I had chicken salad sandwich and chicken soup, which were both good. My husband had crab cakes which he liked. We ordered pancakes and chicken fingers for the kids. The French fries were overlooked and the pancakes were under cooked. But I can let that slide. It’s just seems like the place is not quite ready for prime time. Things were really slow at 5PM, I can’t imagine what it is like later in the night. Overall, the staff was just inattentive and didn’t seem like they cared if we were there or not. We might give it another shot, but not any time soon.

Lots of potential for full stars. Great menu. Breakfast all day. Our party had breakfast, burger, fish sandwich and a grilled cheese. Portions were good and food was tasty. The inside has been done nicely. The big challenge — the service. We had to ask for our waitress to get a drink order. Everything was reallly slow. When the meal was done she cleared part of the table and then didn’t come back for 20 min. We thought about dessert, but declined because we’d already been there close to 2 hours! We were not in a rush, thankfully, so we did not mind being there, but the service was notably slow and not as attentive as we’d expect.

First time was not a charm. Sunday afternoon late lunch seem like the staff forgot to clean tables around the restaurant. It did not make for a good impression. It was not crowded so either not enough staff or they were in attentive Had an underwhelming omelet and friend had chile and sandwich. Waiter was nice but kept coming back to tell us they didn’t have the bread. It was comical. 2nd trip still underwhelmed for breakfast that price is to high for the value received.

This beautiful, historic former train station was most recently an Brazilian restaurant so I was surprised while out looking for s place to have breakfast, I discovered this. I sat at the bar which is located at the back of the dining room in front of a window looking onto the tracks/platform and a big TV above with no sound. The bartender kept forgetting stuff like my coffee, a spoon, cream, napkin, utensils but he did seem pretty busy. My order came pretty fast and I was not disappointed. I chose the ‘Low Carb Breakfast’: 3 eggs(over-easy), two meat sides(bacon and ham) and a salad with oil and vinegar(although they brought me some kind of creamy vinaigrette which I just used anyway). Everything was plentiful, delicious and cooked perfectly. Salad was fresh mixed greens with cherry tomato halves. I thought this plus the coffee was fair for $ 10. It’s great to just sit there and enjoy the building while enjoying your breakfast. It is a nationally historic building with a lot of authentic architecture(which the interior design acknowledges), including a center-post supported open timber roof structure and bullet-glass windows.

I ordered an omelet and was disappointed to find gooey, slim like uncooked egg white in the middle and the cheese tasted fake. Received the wrong type of toast. Not a biggie but… The hot chocolate however, was better than average.

The hash is absolutely delicious– they definitely slow cook it with onions and carrots. Also, the pancakes were fantastic Just a heads up– we wanted Bloody Mary’s and the waitress noted on holidays they do not serve them until 10AM

I’ve been here twice for brunch now, and I have to say that I am a fan. I had THEBEST eggs benedict last month. Let me tell you, I’ve craved it since then and went to a high-end restaurant for brunch today and theirs did not come close. I thought the customer service could have been better. The staff was slow both times, and when it got really busy, the hostesses disappeared for about ten minutes. Definitely no hustle or sense of urgency. While we were waiting, the hostess offered us coffee, but then realize she ran out of coffee and cups… went to get them, forgot, and I had to ask two more times before we were sat forty minutes later. I’ll be back for the food. I’m interested in trying the Newton location out, since its closer. I hope the service is improved and the food is just as delicious!

My friend and I decided to do a day trip and come check out this diner which had really good reviews. She ordered an omelet(with her choices of veggies) and I had the Hash and Eggs which considered of home made corned beef has slightly grilled with 2 eggs over easy and a rosemary garlic bread and home fries. Everything about this dish was excellent and screaming of flavor. I’d definitely come back again just for this but i will likely explore other offerings. My friend also enjoyed her very generous size omelet as well and cooked exactly the way she liked. She got the pumpernickel which was also good. we both left very happy. I gave this place a 4 star it took awhile to get seated and the restaurant was not at capacity and because service was very slow. It took awhile for our server to come by and to cash out. again, i’d definitely would recommend this diner which offers alcohol for those who partake and they have a lot of options for food.

Not a bad spot! It used to be the old commuter rail station! They reconstructed it and it’s pretty cool; there’s even a bar next to the dining area as well, with TV’s! Anyways, the service is alright, the food is pretty good and the atmosphere is great. I ordered the salmon/egg sandwich on wheat toast with cheese, home fries on the side. It was an interesting combo but I liked it none the less! The bloody mary I got had way too much black pepper in it, but a good amount of vodka ;) I’m not sure if I’d go back, maybe to try lunch and grab a beer or something, but it was an experience to see the place transformed!
