A little hidden gem! The owner loves my wife and gave her a musical vegan book. Wonderful food! Worth looking for, it’s a little hard to find. SERVICEISAWESOME! Very engaging owner! Nice to have that mom and pop feel.

Vegan Cuisine is so yummy! I ordered the spring rolls and the orange rice with Soy. It was quiet and relaxing! I took a couple non-vegan friends and they were beyond impressed with the food. I love what this restaurant is doing for the animals and environment. I feel great knowing that I brought business to a place that really cares about the world we live in. I also liked the fact that the food I was eating did not suffer or scream. Thank you for the great service and for making the world a better place!

I’m glad I found this hidden gem. Food is absolutely delicious and service was outstanding. It’s def a bit off the grid but I find it to make it more appealing. Ive been to South East Asia and def made me revisit the atmosphere and vibe of S.E. Asia. I highly recommend this spot, whether vegan or not you’ll find it really tasty and affordable. My wife and I will be regulars from now on.

I hate to give 2 stars but the truth is that this place is a little… off. If I had to base it on the food alone, it would be a 4-star review. The food is good! However… I’ve been here twice at lunch. Both times, I was the ONLY customer there. You’d think that would mean I would get my food fast, right? Both times, I was LATE getting back to my office(10 minutes away) and had to take the food to go because the SLOW service took SO long that I didn’t have time to eat my full lunch. Did they have to go kill the faux-chickens on the faux-farm for my faux orange chicken? Or is that how long it took to fire up the grill because no one goes here at lunch? Once, I even ordered online on my drive over there. So I even ordered like 10 minutes in advance of arrival, and it still took like 30 minutes of sitting there to even get my food. The next time, I just ordered there, hoping the other time was a fluke. That time, they didn’t know how to process my credit card and payment took like 10 minutes! If you can’t get your shit together for your one lunchtime customer, how are you even staying in business? Just one of those mysteries of life, maybe?

This restaurant is in kind of a bad area but I know that when you’re starting out a small business, your options can be limited so I’m not bothered by that at all. The orange chicken was so GOOD! The vegetables were fresh and seasoned perfectly, the only thing I didn’t like was the side of rice. It was super bland, hopefully they change their recipe for it. But other than that I had a great experience. I was carrying my 30lb sleeping boy when I went it and one of the owners offered to carry my stuff to the car! Who does that? I’m a new vegan so I really hope this place survives.

I discovered this place using Unilocal and it was so highly reviewed that I had to try it. This vegan restaurant offers many wide variety of dishes from Vietnamese dishes & soups, burgers, vegan fish & chips, sandwiches and salads. I really like the spring rolls, phở~ga(chicken) soup and the rice dishes. It’s located in a stripmall and offers outside dining. One thing I must say is how nice the staff is and great service is here. 5 Stars.

I think this place won’t last long only based by the fact, that the location is not the best. It’s very hidden and the overall ambiance of the restaurant doesn’t really contribute to its business growing. Ignoring all the cons of the location, ambiance and the not so welcoming entrance this place serves pretty nice VEGANDISHES. If no one tells you, you wouldn’t know you’re not eating meat. They pretty much covers the entire basic Vietnamese cuisine with the only difference that it has no meat. The owner was very friendly and pays attention to her customer.

Live in the area for 5+ years now and never knew about this place. Just love their online-order on Unilocal, makes my life a bit easier especially since I just started my vegetarianism journey! Con(s): this place is really hidden. Pro(s): big portions, nice friendly ladies, & they serve buffet every 2 months. Give them your email and they’ll send you notifications

Great place to come once and a while the only thing healthy is the fruit. The food is good for starter vegetarian/vegan I’m used to diff flavors. Came to hear Dr. Malek speak about vegan wellness and enjoy a vegan buffet All part of the group Animal Protection and Rescue League APRL. The owner is fantastic so compassionate. My friend says they have healthier options just not buffet. Their ice cream looked good. I will be back.

Waited over 45 minutes for a takeout order. Got it home and it was terrible. Fried chicken with skin I had to pull off. Mashed potatoes with a hard outer shell. And the gravy they promised? Barbeque sauce. I ended up throwing 90% of it away. I want every vegan restaurant to succeed. This place needs to simplify their menu and only offer things they can make well in ten to fifteen minutes.

I come here at least 3 times a month. I love their menu options and decent prices. From what I have experienced they have great customer service. The owner is always sweet and helpful, even when my son runs over to their fish tank.

We were joining friends in the park for a picnic and since we were only vegans I decided to try this place out. Big mistake. I called at 1:30 to place my order and said that I would be there at 2:15 to pick up the order. After driving 1.5 hours I arrived at 2:10 and the guy said they are still working on the order. Also I had my 2 small children with me who were hungry. After waiting 30 minutes they finally give me my order only to have a woman come in and say she needs to fix the order. I waited a total of 45 minutes for a take out order even after calling ahead. I ordered the cheese burger, fish and chips and nuggets. All of the food was cold and didn’t taste very good. Just a recommendation to the owner. Making someone wait 45 minutes for a call ahead order should make you refund some of the cost or all of it if you want the customer to return again for a better experience. I will be calling to request a refund as the food wasn’t worth the wait or money.

Vegan Cuisine just keeps getting better and better. I’m a pretty regular customer here and they’ve always done my favorites right. Recently, they’ve also impressed me with how well they handle my substitution requests. I love their House Salad but sometimes want a little more protein and they never hesitate to add a side of grilled tofu to it — and grilled tofu done really well. Today, they really impressed me with the beautifully presented plate of bo luc lac w/o rice, overflowing with salad greens, topped with avocado slices and a tomato«flower.» I know I can depend on Vegan Cuisine for a satisfying, light meal anytime.

Want to start by saying it was a little confusing to walk through the front door. No music, no one in site. Then I look over and see two of the girls sleeping in the booths. We finally order our food, and despite how long it took… everything was delicious! I definitely recommend the fried chicken or the teriyaki chicken. We got steam buns too, those were good but a little on the spicy side. Over all the food was bomb!

My review is based on the food here. I come here 2 – 3 times a week. I love the food here. Wow! vegan food is too good!!! I even prefer this place over other vegetarian restaurants in terms of price vs. food quality. You will not go wrong with this place. My favorite orders from the menu are shaky beef, orange chicken, fried chicken(fish) with mashed potatoes!!! those soy meat plates are too good.

Delicious food! I have been a vegan for a few months now and am always on the lookout for new vegan restaurants in the OC. I found this one and was excited to try it. Glad I did! The owner was very personable and helped my mom and I decide what to order. I am usually NOT a fan of soy meats but she told me to try the Orange chicken and I went against my gut feeling and decided to get it. SOGLAD I DID. It was absolutely delicious. I ordered it with their special orange rice which is high in vitamin E and the owner also added some tofu for me as I was suspicious I wouldn’t like the soy chicken. My mom got pad Thai which was pretty sweet but nonetheless delicious. Also tried their«egg» which they make themselves out of mung bean. Personally I didn’t love it but my mom did. recommend everything here. It was awesome.

Best kept secret is an understatement!!! Where is this place? You would never know if it wasn’t for Unilocal! This place needs to be in a vegan hall of fame! The owner makes VEGANEGGS out of soy milk and mung beans and they actually TASTELIKEEGGS! And look like eggs! She molds them in Easter egg molds, how creative! I missed eggs so that was so satisfying. One Unilocaler said the vegan egg has more protein than a real egg. If that’s true, this restaurant owner has really done something special and needs to be recognized for her cholesterol free cruelty free delicious invention! The waitress was so sweet and friendly and walked me though the whole menu. I was in a vegan dream come true. I ordered a salad, with the«chicken» and an «egg» and summer rolls! Wow! I’ll be honest the chicken was no good. Really dry and looked like chicken so it grossed me out. The salad was HUGE and had tons of nuts and avocado on it. Very affordable too. Will definitely go back and try different things! 4 stars because of the«chicken» and the décor. Sorry vegan cuisine I’m not allowed to throw my 5’s around anymore. Or else I would. Xo!

One of OC’s best kept secrets? Most definitely awkwardly, yes. Not so awkward actually if you truly enjoy their audacious interior showcasing the best in super-retro-future-googie design. You can admire their ceiling while ordering from their exhaustive menu done in superb typography skills inviting you to try all things faux-meatery. Duck noodle soup was their star player and so was pretty much anything you can choose at random. Half of the fun here is trying to locate this hidden haunt. Trust your google maps – or not.
