At first I was nervous about getting my first acne treatment here. Jenny eased me into it while removing all of my black heads and white heads. She made sure I was okay and if I wanted to continue the process. I said yes of course! No pain no gain! I walked out feeling like a Disney princess with a clear clean face. Thanks Jenny

I have been coming to Dr Nguyen office for a while now and I will continue to return. Wether I’m seen by him or a p.a. I am happy. Super friendly staff and I never have to wait long ! Which is a huge plus !

Five stars all the way… I could not be more impressed! I’ve had a few appointments now, and been to both the Fountain Valley and the Irvine offices. The service and overall experience at both locations has been amazing!
Dr. Nguyen is really an amazing dermatologist and a special person. He has a genuine kindness and easy going personality that made me feel comfortable sharing my concerns about my skin. He took the time to get to know me and find out exactly what I needed as a patient. He explained to me that he has over 30 years of dermatology experience and there isn’t much he hasn’t seen. His assistants are great too… I’ve had a chance to meet with Trang and Melanie who were fantastic. They really know their stuff and are so nice. A really cool thing is that Dr. Nguyen’s daughter, Andrea is also a PA and she is awesome! The entire staff is knowledgeable and have always made sure I’m taken care of.
I don’t post reviews often but I felt strongly about sharing just how impressed I am!

An excellent customer service from the beginning to my first appointment until my second session to remove my stitches from possible cancer which was cleared. Mary and Lien came in the office room with the brightest smiles and friendly to help guide me with the removal of stitches and post care.
The staff is always amazing from the classical music to calm me down to the quick response to my appointment including the clean environment which is extremely important. The staff is always helpful and friendly that I have enjoyed my experience with the staff and doctors. I would highly recommend this office this is gem of outstanding customer service that is worth visiting including healing benefits too.

Where should I start!?? Omg! Jennie where have you been all my life?! I came to this office with intention to do hair laser removal but decided to try laser to treat my acne/​acne scars (thanks Jennie). Best investment ever! Jennie is very honest and knowledgable. She will be happy to answer to any of your questions or concerns during the consultation and even after the treatments. Jennie makes the whole procedure very comfortable. I love the result after one treatment and i went back for 5 more treatments! I have really bad acne and acne scars and I have tried everything but nothing really work for me. Until I experienced these amazing procedures! You are in good hand when you visit Jennie! May I add, all of the staffs are very friendly and professional. That are always a plus :)

I been coming here a little over 3 months due to warts all over my right hand I most say, the staff is truly amazing and very friendly to all guest, and within those 3 months all of my warts have been removed I would recommend this places to family && friends.

I want to start off by saying that I had pretty clear skin, with a pimple popping up here and there every so often. It wasn’t until about 5 months ago that I had the worst acne breakout ever. It literally happened overnight and it felt like my world was crashing because my wedding was in less than 1 year! Thinking it would just go away I didn’t do anything for about a month, but it only got worst. Then my dad recommended me to come to this dermatologist to see if there was something wrong internally. I was greeted by a very friendly staff at the front desk. I was introduced to Jenny, who is the friendliest and sweetest esthetician! She calmed me down and promised my face will be cleared before the wedding. And for the first time, I felt that everything will be okay. After about 4 – 5 treatments you can notice a dramatic difference on my face. Besides some acne scars that are slowly fading, I finally feel like myself again. THANK YOU CHI JENNY! You’re a life saver!

Don’t bother coming here. I normally go to the other location in Irvine, which has better staff and ambience. All the women working here are Vietnamese and the entire time I got my facial, they were gossiping and kept walking in and out of the room. I was warned upon coming here that there wouldn’t be as much privacy since each person does not get her room. That wasn’t that big of a deal to me, but to have people keep coming in and out and screaming in my face is just annoying, especially when I want to be relaxed for a facial. After the lady worked on my face, she didn’t even clean off all the excess from my face mask so I had a bunch of spots everywhere. I had to go back in and re-​wash my face. I won’t be coming back.

The staff is very knowledgable and helpful. I’ve been here a few times to have some wounds looked at and they’d always have immediate resolutions.

Suddenly at the advanced age of 64, I’m starting to blossom these spots. You know blotches and different sun spots. But they’re suspicious spots and thank God the staff noticed them.
So for about a year now, Andrea has been freezing them off me with amazing results. And when a very suspicious spot wouldn’t go away, so she performed a Mohs procedure. In one scrape, Andrea removed the precancerous area and my recovery was rather quick.
I’ve also had an overall procedure done that was designed to remove many precancerous spots. At first the procedure made me look a like Quasimodo and caused some lethargic effects. After adjusting the treatment and a couple weeks later, my skin is as incredible as ever… and getting many comments on it.
The staff has been kind, friendly and charming as heck. Andrea has made sure I understand how to take care of my skin and my health.
But most important is my skin looks like I’m early 50s… but Shh, don’t tell any of my new friends… they think I am 40−50ish.
It helps a lot to have young genes to be youthful, but having a conscientious dermatologist and crack staff like they do at Dr Nguyen’s makes a huge difference.

This one star is for his staffs (nice and friendly). On the other hand, the doctor (Dr. Tien Nguyen) is … the most unfriendly, unprofessional doctor I ever knew. We don’t know how good he is as a doctor but he has this kind of stuck-​up attitude. Of course each time we decided to go see doctor because we need help with the problem. He took the problem too lightly. He was in and out in couple minutes. He didn’t directly answer the question. He didn’t even bother ask us whether do we have any further questions. Even you have appointment with with doctor but his staff did all the work. He showed up only if you requested to see the doctor. (and the amount of money you paid was counted seeing the doctor hour, not PA hour). Overall, we left the office unhappy and going for second opinion for treatment.

If I could give zero stars, I would! Terrible service from the receptionist to the doctor. The only nice person there would have been the physician’s assistant. I came here with my mom, son, and niece. So, when the kids needed to use the restroom, my mom had to get the key to take them and I saw the doctor tell the nurse to stand by the restroom to watch them use the bathroom. Like seriously?!? That’s really how you’re going to treat your patients? Never coming back here and you shouldn’t come here either. They barely even looked at my skin. The doctor himself went into the office and left within the minute. The doctor barely even glanced at me and after he left, the nurse just took over. I have a PPO as insurance and the nurse recommended to do a facial but told me it would be too expensive for you because my insurance wouldn’t cover it. How would you know what I can and can’t afford. Then she goes into tell me instead of the facial, I recommend these skin care products for you. It was for facial wash, serum, and moisturizer for $ 300. Then I asked how much the facial would cost and she said $ 100. So, you tell me I can’t afford the facial but try to up sell me on facial products. After I left this office because of the doctor’s lack of care for a paying patient, I went to another dermatologist who saw me without an appointment and took care of me like a doctor should! Don’t go here! Avoid them at all cost!

I came to this office a couple of months ago for my acne. I’ve been to a few different derms with no success. I can happily say that have been able to take care of my skin and it has never looked better.
I saw one of the PA’s who was super polite and had great bedside manner. The office was busy, but I found the staff to be nice.
What I thought was really great was how they helped me get my meds. They wrote me three different prescriptions and my local Rite Aid told me that the medicines would cost over $ 1000! Naturally, I freaked out, called the office and they were able to send it to another pharmacy and I got my meds for $ 30. They took care of it the same day!

My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Nguyen and «Doc» Andrea for many years. We love them! As a matter of fact I am currently changing my PCP and I have done so keeping in mind that I have to choose a PCP that is in the same medical group as Dr. Nguyen so I can continue seeing him. I have read the current reviews and I think they are totally unfair and think they are nothing more than sour grapes!
I have had a few cosmetic procedure done here, my husband has been treated for his skin issues and we couldn’t be happier. Andrea is amazing! Dr. Nguyen is the best!
I just have to mention … who expects to be seen by a doctor and thinks they shouldn’t have to pay for an office visit? If you have insurance you pay your co-​pay, if you don’t, you pay the office visit charge. It’s that simple!
We will continue to see Dr. Nguyen & «Doc» Andrea for many years to come.

So I went it yesterday to treat my allergic reaction on my hands and ringworm. To say the least the dr did not know what ringworm looked like she kept telling me it was something else. Clearly it was ringworm due that my cat infected me. Then for my rash I asked for the shot and she did not want to give it to me to clear my painful reaction that i had on my hand then she said she «checked» every room for that shot and not 1 room had, which takes more than 30 sec. To check. Then she said they where out of stock. she lied to me! I will never go back! They just took my Co pay and that’s all they cared about! Oh and 0 stars!!!

Man, this place is so disorganized, i dont know where to start. Wasted our time by setting appointment but didnt bother to read authorization, reason for visit, nothing… wasted trip… finding another doctor, this one is a joke. No bathroom readily available for patients. We have to go back outside and around the building to access it? Is this a gas station? This doctor seems more interested in showing off his art collection than treating patients professionally. He came in to room for 30 seconds, didn’t introduce himself or greet us, left and sent in P.A. (she’s nice, but seemed very rushed). Ask your referring doctor for someone else…

I wish I had never made myself of being there in that office, my family doctor asking me to see a dermatology doctor to check out on a little mold I’ve under my right foot. I’ve to pay upfront $ 85.00 for PPO plan, the explanation was to make sure my health insurance covers it. Without knowing what’s wrong with my mold Dr Tien Nguyen had his nurse to plan out a surgery which will cost me another $ 400.00 out of my pocket… My family Dr just need to know what’s wrong before any decision being made. Should’nt I being referred to a biopcy at least? I called the office to request the referral to get the biopcy… Whoever I was talking to told me there will be extra cost for that as well. My call was made at 11:15 am on Friday and was told by her that she’ll give me a call right back… Havent heard anything from her yet, It makes me wonder if the Dr really cared and listening to his patiences’s need or just the money is his priority??? I rather loose that $ 85.00 than go back to see Dr Tien Nguyen ever again. It’s sad to give $ 85.00 to a wealthy Doctor. I rather give that to homeless people out there especially this time of the year.

I took my mother to see Dr. Nguyen. Apparently my mother had visited his old office 15 years back and she’s pretty loyal to make me drive 50 mins to see him in his new office. We finally arrived and had to fill out paperwork and they asked for $ 85. up front before even being seen.
The nurse called her in and I went in with her, maybe to translate if needed. She explained her problem, troubles, and concern. The nurse didn’t seem to hear her one bit, kept persisting that her problem is Rosacea. I disputed her statement of Rosacea, and I felt like we were going back and forth. The doctor came in, saw my mother for less than 5 mins, joking around like nothing is serious, open the door and walking out and talking at the same time. He gave her some samples of the face wash and samples of the moisturizer cream to apply and that was it. He said, Ill see you in 3 months if it doesn’t get rid of the itchiness and dryness.
Wow, Really, that’s it? I would never take my mother back to this place. Horrible service!
My mother stopped this steroid cream she was using that caused her skin to irritate and now her skin is back to normal.
To the doctor’s assistant: Not every patient that walks in with dry and itchy skin are a result of having Rosacea!

I had this chemical reaction with Clorox so my arms were swollen and itching like crazy. After trying a bunch of cream from Cvs, I decided it was time to visit a doctor. I called a few offices but then decided to come here. With no insurance, they charged you $ 85 for a visit. Ouch!
My appointment was at 4. I came it early, filled out some paperwork and then was called in by a medical assistant. While she was talking to me, another lady came in and introduced herself. She said she is a doctor assistant. She started examining my arms. She was nice and gentle. Then doctor Tien walked in and completed the exam. He was nice and friendly as well. He quickly told the assistant what I need. He prescribed some pills and two types of cream to treat the itch. After the doctor left, another lady walked in and tried to sell me the face cream package that costs more than $ 200. I definitely felt the pressure to buy the product but I quickly declined. Heck! I can’t even afford the exam fee. I found it was a little extreme that she tried to sell those creams to me right there.
Anyway, whatever the doctor prescribed really helped. I stopped itching after using the cream. The visit was quick and effective although the price is a little too much. I will come back if something else comes up.
Just say no to the sale lady. If you need face cream, go to the mall. You can always return it ;)
