I haven’t had anything I didn’t like from there. My favorite is chicken pesto pizza and the pastrami sandwich

«Why don’t we try this place?» The boyfriend asserted, handing me his iPad with Ameci’s Unilocal page displayed. (He knows me too well)
«It only has three and a half stars, babe.» I sighed.
«The pictures look really good, though, and they have a $ 9.99 carryout deal. I’ll pick it up!»
I gave in.
And let me tell you, I wasn’t disappointed.
We ordered a large pepperoni with extra cheese (we’re from the Midwest, don’t judge) and an order of garlic bread. This is the first pizza (outside of Rance’s deep dish) that I’ve eaten since moving to California that I thought «yeah, I can get behind this joint» «this is yummy!»
Now I notice other reviewers giving star deductions for service, which I can’t comment on. But if some high school stoner with braces gets between me and my next order from Ameci, I’ll definitely pop off about it on Unilocal.
Because when Susanne D. Is craving cheesy, marinara-​y, pepperoni-​y goodness in my stomach, you’d best step out of my way. #blindfoodrage

Service has been friendly. Food prompt and flavorful. Order is always correct. They have great specials, too. I’ve been here 3x and have had good experiences while having a sit-​down meal with my family, or on the run during my lunch break. What stands out, is that they sponsor some of the neighborhood athletic teams. They have plaques and awards on their wall, and I appreciate a company that gives back to the community. Much respect.

Ordered delivery, Fettuccini Alfredo and Margarita pizza. Food was good, ingredients tasted fresh and the pasta sauce was great. However… I’m giving two stars because the delivery driver was borderline rude. I gave the correct address and special instructions to call me when they arrive so I could come to the front gate. The driver tried to tell me he couldn’t find the building which is funny because the address numbers are large and clearly seen on the front of the building from the street. He then told me I should have given them my apartment number. He actually ARGUED with me about this while holding my food, then AGAIN asked for my apartment number! Why? He admitted to not even reading the special instructions. Will NOT be ordering delivery again from them.

The wife was craving pizza and she said that Ameci had the best BBQ Chicken pizza around. Me personally I don’t like chicken as a topping nor do I care for BBQ sauce to be the sauce of the pizza but I was trying to keep an open mind.
I jump on there website and navigate to the pizza section. I add the BBQ Chicken Pizza to the cart and put my cc number and bam its done. I was thinking dang that was pretty easy. I wait about 15 minutes, then i head over there. I walk in say i ordered a pizza online and my name is Matt and the guy has me sign and it done. This process was so efficient and painless.
Now for the moment of truth is this the best BBQ Chicken pizza I have ever eaten? I open up the box and this strong BBQ aroma hits my nose. It smelt so good, just thinking about it makes my mouth water. The BBQ Chicken pizza is topped with red onion, chicken, basil. I dig into this thing and I was pretty impressed. The BBQ sauce was mild, not to sweet and had a little bit of a tangy flavor. Let just say I ordered a Jumbo which is 19″ and my wife only had 2 slices.
I really liked their food and I will be coming back again to try that Garlic Deluxe.

When we first started coming here their food was excellent. It seems now they’ve changed a bunch of stuff. We ordered mozzarella sticks that looked well nothing like a mozzarella stick. It looked more like a tofu something. The food tasted great just wish you guys didn’t change everything up so much. And please change the mozzarella sticks back. These ones are laaaaaaame

This place sets a low bar when in comes to customer service. The pizza was no prize either, the crust tasted like wonder bread. The sauce and cheese were weak. Save yourself a trip and go somewhere else. I usually like to try new places but if this is an indicator to how the other amecis pizzeria places are than no thanks. I would rather just go to Costco.

When you talk about pizza you can slice many different ways! The day my friend ordered amici pizza I was hooked! Just moved back into town and love that I can get amici pizza again!

Came here for lunch the place is clean, family friendly and do good. The pizza was delicious. I would definitely come back.

My review may be a bit biased because ive been coming here since middle school and theres a bit of nostalgia for me, but its my favorite pizza place. I mean, its not pizza thats going to make you tell your friends about some amazing place you just found, but its good. Good pizza, good price, and its convenient. Fast service, good menu, typically clean shop, and open windowed walls to let in a ton of sunlight.
The only way i would NOT recommend this place, is if youre craving pizza around noon on a thursday. It is the meeting ground for when the middle school across the street gets out and you’ll be stuck in line behind twenty or so 12 year olds who dont know how to actually purchase something in real life. I mean, I used to be one of those kids so i cant blame them, but for your convenience i would hold off at that time.

I love this place! Quick delivery and very yummy! Italian sub toasted was delicious! My husband loved his dish as well. Cant wait to try the pizza :)))

This is good Italian pie with fresh ingredients! Been going here for a while and the crew is really good!

Whenever come here always get the number eight and the number seven it’s great to even have delivered to your house at a cheap price the foods always super hot and extra tasty it’s almost as good as my mom’s homemade Italian dishes Gordy and Michael have always been great whenever I come in or get delivery! They have great customer service skills and so does Jasmine when she takes my order she was really nice! I love this place my heart would literally break if it ever went anywhere else

We got some food to go here on Friday night. We got a cheese calzone and a meatball sandwich. Both were really good. I would order a meat calzone next time, but the calzone was good and not too much dough, which I don’t like too much. The meatball sandwich was really good according to the wife. She said the meatballs had good flavor.
Overall, I think it might be an above average pizza/​pasta/​sandwich place. The prices were reasonable and the staff was very nice. I’d come back again to try other items on the menu.

Seriously good go to! Polite staff, good food, and fast. Need more? No, you don’t because this is local pizza ready at the end of a phone call.

So Monday 3/​29, my Husband was craving pizza. We usually get papa john’s or walk across the street to pizza rev, But we thought we’d try something different.
While driving down MacArthur Blvd., we saw this place that said «PIZZA» so we drove in. We usually get the better experiences going to little hole in the wall places, so it peaked our interest.
Again, we went on a Monday, around 5 pm, so just right after the Lunch specials were over, But the owner/​manager let us do the carryout deal and Dine-​in, since nobody was eating in there.
We got a Large Pepperoni Pizza, 1 Philly Cheese steak sandwich and 2 drinks, for $ 18!
The seating area was a little aged, typical pizza joint to us. It was REALLY CLEAN, one of the bus boy’s even offered to freshly clean our table before we sat down. There was music playing, alternative rock, Insta-​Like! The philly came out first, first of all, appearance, it was a nice looking sandwich! Lots of meat, green peppers and a ton of cheese! Overall Taste, I’d give it a 6 out of 10. It was a tad dry for us, we were hoping it would have some of the philly sauce or juice poured on it. But alas the search for the best philly still goes to Jersey Mike’s.
The pizza, came out in 20min or so, It was oozing with cheese and they put a hefty serving of pepperoni. I’m not big on pepperoni, mainly because most pizza places keep it frozen or use cheap meat. These pepperoni’s were soooo Yummy! It is a first for me to say that! The cheese, it was NOT imitation cheese like I read on a previous post, it is cheddar, you can taste it! The sauce was a little watery for my taste. BUT on this pizza it worked well. I can imagine if they thickened up the sauce, maybe it would lose that ‘italian feel’ the restaurant is going for? The bread was good, we added some peppers to it, we’re used to a bit more garlic. But it was relatively thin, which is good for us. And again, cooked well, and tasted good. We give the pizza 8 out of 10. Because we think the sauce could be thicker, and the pizza dough can use a hint of garlic.
The service was 10 of 10, the guys were nice, and helpful, never having been there they walked us through the pizza taste, and highly recommended the pastas, which we did not try.
Decent date spot, my Husband and I are in our late 20s-​mid 30s, we always look for new date spots every week. We did get stuck on costco pizza for a while, but honestly this was much more authentic and tastier. Definitely will be coming back here again, Just wish they had an outside patio so our doggie can come too!
UPDATE:
We went again for dinner on ³⁄₃₀. Got 2 pizzas to go for a party. Everyone loved the pizzas, They tasted much better so we move our original 8 out of 10 rating to a 9 out of 10 rating. The sauce was heavier, as we asked for extra sauce. That did the trick, the bread can still use the garlic, to us. But if your not a fan of garlic, and you want a decent pie for cheap, this is the place to go!

I just love this place. Great service and delicious food for a great price. They definitely serve restaurant quality type pizzas and pastas. First time I came, I ordered the jumbo slice lunch special. It comes with a drink and a salad I believe and the slice they give you is the size of 3 slices and it only cost 7 $. The second time I went, I ordered the chicken pesto combo. This also came with a drink and salad plus two pieces of bread this time. Again, the portion of the pasta was huge! My pasta was really tasty and the meal only cost 10 $.
I definitely recommend you try this place out.
