I love Happy Hour but only last until 6 pm so I don’t get to come by too often. I didn’t like the pork potstickers but the chicken fingers w/fries and sliders are awesome. I had dinner here a few months ago and it was too pricey for the meal but the Happy Hour specials will encourage me to become a regular at this spot.

Service was attentive from the moment we walked through the door. I had the sea scallops — Applewood bacon-wrapped jumbo sea scallops with vegetable risotto, lobster sauce and tomato-basil salad. The scallops were indeed big and cooked perfectly(not rubbery). The bacon of course added a certain«wham bam» to it. Bacon tends to do that to anything.(Baaaaccccccoooonnnnnn!!!) the risotto was alright, nothing to sing home about. The lobster sauce was complex and flavorful while the salad seemed like an afterthought. What can i say about this joint? They seem to have figured out what works and stick with that. the menu isn’t incredibly creative or inspired but what the specialize in– seafood– they cook well, with flavors familiar and known to go well with the specific seafood in question. The rest of my party ordered the special salad of the day– with lobster, shrimp and some aoli dressing. They all raved about it. From what i had and seeing the table enjoyed everything they ordered, i think Turtle Bay knows what it’s doing.

. The best way to desscribe it is the local neighborhood restaurant/bar in Foster City. The restaurant and bar was filled with families and lots of older couples Foster City. The food was okay, and the drinks as well. The protions were big and the food was kind of bland. One perk about this place is the live Jazz on Fridays.

I had the Dungeness crab special last Thrusday and it was the most succulent, fresh and generous proportion of crab meat I have ever had! For $ 28.00 the serving of sweet crab all taken apart in the shell was to die for. Served with cooked green spinach and hot fried cubed potatoes, it was like heaven on earth. We shared the calamari rings gently fried in a slight batter. For dessert, the lava chocolate cake. The inside was not hot but it was great anyway. This place is pricey but it was all worth it. The service was also impeccable.

I’ve come here twice and both times were good experiences. For lunch, it can get pretty busy, but the wait isn’t too bad. I had the Steak Salad and it was pretty good. Fresh cut romaine lettuce with steak strips that are marinated. I came here another time with some friends for happy hour. They have $ 2 wine, but I am not sure if they still do this, since it was 2 years ago. They also had live jazz. We ordered some calamari and that was yum! I would def come here again soon!

I attended a business diner here last night and I gotta tell ya, I was VERY impressed with this place. The restaurant is located in a strip mall which kinda throws you off at first. But once inside, this place opens up into a beautiful butterfly. A really«swanky» place if I may. It’s an in-between of a really nice sports bar and semi-formal sit-down place. Again, diffidently NOT what you would expect seeing at a strip mall. The menu, with the exception of the entrée items were preselected. The meal started off with a light mixed green salad — mixed field greens, tomato, onion, crumbled feta cheese, red wine vinaigrette and fresh strawberries(umm, it was good). Next up was the entrée. There were three items to choose from: ** Ahi Tuna — sesame crusted seared ahi tuna, wasabi sweet potato croquet, sauteed spinach. ** Chicken Picatta — breast of chicken, white wine-lemon-caper sauce, fresh spaghetti pasta, sauteed vegetables. ** Filet Mignon — 10 oz filet, cabernet reduction, vegetable risotto. I selected the Ahi Tuna, which was«out of sight.» In fact, it was so good, I finished all my sides which I hardly ever do. Last up was the desert. A nice cut of Tiramisu. I’m not a desert nut, but I did try a spoon full. It was tasty, but not enough«liqueur» in it to keep my interest. This place is a FIVE star act with impeccable waitstaff and bartenders to boot. When in Foster City, give them a try. — Bön Appetit…

I came to Turtle Bay Seafood & Grill for a really yummy«treat» lunch with two girlfriends(who are also colleagues). We had to wait about 15 minutes for a table because all of the tables were occupied when we came around 12:30 pm but we enjoyed checking out the menu while we waiting. I chose the chicken lettuce wraps(about $ 11) which were really delicious and had the cutest, littlest pieces of lettuce for wrapping I’ve ever seen. B had the ahi salad($ 18) and a raspberry iced tea($ 5). The ahi on her salad was very good! N chose a fish dish($ 17) with the most buttery spinach I’ve ever tried. The portions were very generous too! The service was a little iffy as our waiter didn’t seem to totally understand us and tried to take our cash as a tip instead of as part of the bill… no big deal though! I really want to bring a work crew back here for happy hour. They have a bunch of drink and food specials from 4 — 6 pm and I have my eye on the sriracha poke!

Didn’t have a private party but I did have a large party last Thursday! Awesome food and great service is what this place is all about! Had our annual team dinner here and it was a blast. Half of us had the Land & Sea dinner and the other half chose the Lamb Shank dinner. Strange how that worked out but I guess monkey see monkey do! Regardless…the food and service were fantastic. If you’re looking for a place to have a nice dinner for either a small or large crowd, look no further. This is the best in Foster City! Bön Apetite!
