Just took the kids here in the morning. Great service and food was good. Never been here in the afternoon, but always had pleasant servers in the mornings.

Food was average, salad had to much dressing and lettuce was not fresh. Soup was warm but almost too cool

Literally a story of night and day. Day staff is friendly, attentive, and seem fairly efficient in taking orders and getting out food. Night staff is generally standing around and often don’t check for online orders – meaning that you have to wait even if you were told it would be ready.
Otherwise the food is pretty good and I tend to be pretty positive on the place… even if that is mostly because I work nearby and the options are limited…

This place is horrible! Ordered breakfast at 10:20am and was told they stopped serving at 10:15am because they were out of potatoes?! I just wanted their combo of eggs, bacon, and pancakes. They took the order but all I got served were cold eggs, bacon, and stale toast?!! I sent it back for a HOT MEAL and they returned with the same cold bacon and toast, BUT WITH A VEGGIE OMLET!!! WHERE THE HELL ARE MY PANCAKES!!!
After the fourth try, YES FOURTH TRY!, I just got the HOT PANCAKES, no eggs or bacon! Then the «server» returned to my table with the original cold scrambled eggs and bacon?!! She said that’s all they had because their kitchen was preparing for lunch? AT 10:30 IN THE MORNING!!!
AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. THEY’RE JUST A BUNCH OF IDIOTS WORKING HERE!
AND THEY WANT $ 15/​hr.!! For this kind of service they should be paying me instead just to come in!!!

Love it here! The manager is so friendly and nice. The staff seem happy and friendly too and the whole environment is very laid back. The food is great too. Gotta go with chicken pesto as my favorite. Highly recommended! Update: I think his name is Jamar T. Super friendly. My favorite lunch spot !!!

We go here pretty regularly since it’s very closeby and I often crave soup and a sandwich. The food is decent for the price, but their service is always exceptionally slow, even if we are the only two people in the restaurant. Service is also hit and miss with professionalism, and they are frequently out of items on the menu.

The food is fresh and very good and the service was friendly and fast, try them!!! We had the Anaheim scrambler and the California grill, both very good.

Neutral. Good quality is mediocre but staff is friendly. Had meatball panini, cob salad (chicken was an odd texture) kettle chips were average.

First time here! Although I live literally around the corner, hadn’t ever really took the time to check it out. Well glad I did! Came in for lunch, had the chicken pesto half sandwich and a small bowl of Al’s chili bowl! Both were everything and more of what I expected! Very clean neat environment, looks like a good place for breakfast lunch and dinner! After ordering my meal, the server recommended one of their pasta bowls for next time I came! Well I’m sure I’ll be getting hungry later on at night, just might have to come back for that pasta bowl! Lol…

Simply the food is pretty good but the service is consistently bad. No matter who is working no one seems to know what they are doing. Typically young people standing around chatting while your food sits getting cold.

Such a great location but sad that the food quality was not good. Service was inconsistent where the staff was too busy talking among themselves. Been there twice and same experience. So now I drive by there but dont go in to eat!!!

Extremely slow service, but…
So this started as a 2 star, and got raised to four stars. Went in for a quick lunch and got a sandwich/​soup combo at around 2pm. Waited for nearly 25 minutes, which is ridiculous for a café, especially during a non peak time.
However, the food finally came out, and without us saying anything or complaining, they apologized repeatedly for the delay (turns out the order had gotten forgotten somehow), and comped us dessert.
Food itself was fantastic. I had the chicken salad sandwich on multi-​grain bread and the chili. For dessert we got chocolate chip cookies.
Would go back.

I thought there was a personnel change in management but I was wrong. Will not be back.

I’ve only discovered this little gem three days ago, and two out of the three days I have returned because the food draws me back! I will definitely try something new during my next visit, but I’ve already become a purist to their chicken pesto sandwich, accompanied with a cup of their cheddar broccoli soup. It.Is.So.Good! Even better is how spacious the restaurant is, and I love the local Foster City wall prints as the décor. The restaurant is overall very clean, and the staff are pretty friendly. They don’t rush you when you feel that feeling where you need to make your decision as they approach the counter. This place as become one of my new go to’s for comfort food. Next time I will try something new, but it will be hard because the initial combo I’ve ordered is just too damn good!

I had the salad with blue cheese, bacon, and whatever else and it was great! The place was extremely crowded, but to be fair, it’s located next to a bunch of corporate offices (where I came from) so it’s going to be busy at lunch time. The servers were okay but all they had to do was bring my salad over so there’s not much they could’ve messed up.
4 stars out of 5 because they didn’t blow me out of the water.

Food is average to below average… But the staff… Staff here seems to be a bunch of late teens that really don’t care… Like the boss is gone every day…
Hard to explain, but once you go there, you will see what I mean.

I’ve been to the Corner Bakery about ten times since it’s right by my office. My favorite two items are the cinnamon cream cake and the sweet crisp spinach salad. The cake is excellent and the salad is very good.
They have a good variety of things to order and their portions are medium sized. So, if you have a big appetite, then you might want to order a few things.
Overall grade: B–

Quick review based on having this for lunch @ work
Big Al’s Chili — Yummy. As a testament to how good this was, we ran out before everyone could have some. However, there were other soups that folks weren’t as thrilled about. We’ll need to offer more chili next time.
Harvest Salad — Interesting salad with apples, blue cheese and toasted walnuts. I like salads that have some crunchiness. This dish was decent. I had a 2^nd helping, but I’d attribute it to hunger more than how much I adored this salad.
I’m a sucker for deserts. I actually get somewhat annoyed when we order a platter at the office because I have no self-​control when it comes to desserts and need to try a few. This time, I had the following:
Monster Cookie — This was a beast covered in M&Ms and had what looked to be chocolate INSIDE; maybe massive chocolate chips. I had a piece about the size of a quarter and it was good.
Fudge Brownie — I cut myself half of a piece, sat down, and ate it after lunch. Then, I went back to retrieve the other half which I also then ate. I use this method to somehow tell myself I’m ingesting fewer calories. In other words, it’s a good brownie!
Gingerbread Pumpkin Bundt — I thought it was carrot cake when I ate it. Then I learned that it was actually pumpkin. Hopefully, this mis-​judgement doesn’t impact the creditbility of my entire review.
4-​Stars for the desserts and 3-​Stars for the meal. Weighting the meal more heavily to arrive at 3-​Stars overall.
