Hole in the wall mom and pop place with decent breakfast. Nothing fancy but it’s packed with white haired people so you know it’s good.

Quick service but average breakfast; not great flavors or large portions so just basic breakfast. For the price and taste, I would just go to IHOP. Won’t return.

Not sure why all the great reviews. Coffee was bitter, wife had to send it back for a soft drink instead. When she told the waitress of the bitterness, she got an eye roll from our senior age female server. My eggs were full of water when cut into, yuck! The Manager, tried to explain to me why they might be full of water. As if there is ever an acceptable time to be presented watery eggs to eat. I had biscuits and gravy, the biscuits were raw and doughy in the middle, had to spit them out in my napkin. Ham was very average in flavor. We learned our lesson.

Good old country food and sweet people. Never have to wait long for a table unless you go around noon on Sunday

Great food, price and quality. The food always tasted great, the staff is always courteous and kind. Love their eggs, bacon and sausage biscuits and gravy for breakfast. We always have a great time here.

Kind of old fashioned looking, not necessarily a bad thing. However they have it where it counts, excellent service delicious food.

No the best place to have some coffee and brunch with your friends, I think if it was in a better location this place would do better, service was a little slow, the area is not comfortable because it looks old and dirty but hey it is the west café.

Very fast service, although it is always packed. Outstanding food for the price — grandma loves it! Grandpa’s favorite — stew and cornbread.

Family favorite! Always quality food, perfect portions, and fast service! Weekends there is a slight wait to be seated, but given that there were 8 of us on a Saturday, we were seated relatively quickly. Service is always fast friendly and amazing.

My wife and I stopped in for breakfast on a Friday at 11:00 am and the service was the quickest that we have ever experienced anywhere. The food was fresh and was prepared just like dear old moms. We will definitely be going there again. The staff were outstanding. We just found our new go to place for breakfast.

If you’re looking for something fancy, keep driving till you hit the Cultural District or Sundance Square! This place is an old fashion American country café, simple good food that ranges from omelets to country fried steak. It’s pretty busy as its a popular spot in this location on the weekends, so I recommend it if you don’t mind a tiny wait or if your a smaller group. I sat at the counter which I love. This place reminds me of my travels with the railroad – good food, kind people and great service! Will come back for sure.

The chicken fry was good, not great just an average meal but I would go back. The service was fast and the place is clean, I liked it. The sign at the door that says guns are welcome is enough to make me go back.

I’m hesitant to give this a 4 because it currently stands at 4.5 so my 4 will bring it down– But it’s a 4. I enjoyed this place. Basic, diner type but with a good feeling coming in and eating. Very attentive service. I’m here on business and this was recommended by hotel front desk. Not what I expected but fine for me. After reviewing the menu, I was thinking to go somewhere else — but I’d already ordered iced tea, so I was determined to order. Very inexpensive. I’m here for dinner and got a hamburger steak, Mac & cheese, cole slaw and corn bread. Plenty. I saved room for dessert and was pleasantly surprised by the coconut crème pie. Total bill: 13. xx plus $ 5 tip– service was very good and bill was so low. I’m happy I came here. Not a 5, but a strong 4.

Wait Time — we came on a Saturday morning at 11 am and it was extremely packed. There were 20+ people in front of us, but we got seated within 3 minutes.(We had a party of 2). Service — The other Unilocalers were accurate in saying that the service was awesome. Everyone was super friendly — I think I was asked 4 times by 4 different people if I was okay or needed anything else. This is what the queen of England must feel like. Food — the food was good, not superb. But still good: I went healthy and had the three egg western omelette — substituted for egg whites. Definitely recommend it to anyone trying to watch their weight. I will definitely come back again to try the pancakes and CFS though on a non healthy feeling day — they were both humongous looking!

Great service and delicious southern food. I ordered the steak & eggs and added a pancake. I asked for the steak to be medium rare and it actually came out red in the middle(good start). The hashbrowns were slightly crispy which is just the way I like it. The pancake was light and fluffy and they are not skimpy on the syrup(got a whole bottle for myself). There was a slight wait when we came in(noon on a weekend) but the tables move fast and we didn’t have to wait long. Will definitely be back!

I come here almost every Sunday. I had to upgrade the stars from 3 to 4 for two reasons: 1) coffee cup stays filled 2) your meal is consistently delicious, hot, quick, and cheap Okay, so that’s actually waaaaay more than 2 reasons.

West Side Café is a little old timey café on the Westside of Fort Worth. WSC is a small little place, there isn’t nothing fancy about it. Good ol home cooking here with chicken fried steak, chicken dumplings, chicken fried steak, and more. One bad thing about West Side Café is that it is ALWAYS busy. No matter what time you come. I’ve never had breakfast here. I have only came for lunch. The pork chops are some of the best I have ate! Service is always quick and friendly. Definitely a casual place for families if you are on that side of town.
