Let’s start with the fact that I’m picky. I’ve lived on one coast and dined often on the other. I’ve been to many places where the freshest fish was available at the drop of a hat. This is Texas and I know that this cannot really be the case. When I walked in I was seated immediately and the staff was cheery and helpful. I got all Nigiri: tuna, salmon, squid. Pretty basic but I was also told they had nothing special and were out of a few things that I would have been interested in more. I get it, it’s Monday. Fine. First up: Tuna. I literally had to use my molars to bite through it, it was that tough. Not thrilled. Next up: squid. It was squid. I think some special sauce or garnish would have made it exciting but it didn’t seem that there was any inventiveness in anything really. Last: salmon. It was good. Salmon is tough to do wrong. I guess my point is that maybe it was an off night but the lack of special fish or inventiveness left me put off. It was super basic. I will say that the rolls looked interesting. I will update when I try some of those.

This is our go-to sushi place. My favorite is the Something Wrong roll… if that’s wrong, I don’t wanna be right. In addition to top notch sushi and Japanese dishes, the restaurant has the very best atmosphere in Fort Worth for date night. They always play great jazz, but not too loud, and it’s always quiet enough to have a conversation without shouting.

The food is usually good but the beer is always very warm. We got up and left after we ordered our beer because we didn’t want to stay and eat without having a cold beer. It’s too bad they can’t get cold beer for everyone to enjoy. They go to a lot of trouble to make good food but totally drop the ball on the beer temperature.

Came with a girlfriend the other night and I was not disappointed! We got there at around 6. There were only a few other customers. The server greeted us quickly and apologized in advance that she was the only server on that night. That was fine because we weren’t in a hurry. We ordered the Philadelphia Roll which was just ok but the Oh My God roll, the Las Vegas Roll were out of this world! I can’t remember the name of the other specialty roll we had but it was really good as well. I really enjoyed the white peach sake. It’s a little on the pricey side. Two specialty rolls and the sake was $ 48 but if you stick to simple rolls, it’s cheaper. We received really great service even though our server was the only one working. I can’t wait to go back!

Food was amazing. We had the jalapeño poppers, stuffed mushrooms and stuffed alvacado. All three appetizers were very good. We also have the lone star roll, kiss of fire roll, and two I can’t remember. All were very good. Wait staff was amazing!!! Good suggestions and very sweet. Will be back!

Since moving to this area, been checking out all the Japanese restaurants. At this time, this is hands down the best sushi restaurant in the area and ranks up there with all the sushi places in California and New York that I’ve visited through the years. I had the spicy ramen, the five piece salmon sashimi, tuna nigiri and the softshell crab tempura. The ramen was fantastic, made fresh here and full of flavor. The noodles were springy, which I love and look for in a good bowl of ramen. The soft shell crab tempura was unbelievably good with a nice crunch to it. It came with some vegetable tempura as well. The sashimi was fresh and unlike most places, they were large pieces which made it a great deal price wise(Same with the tuna nigiri.). I’ll have to come back and try some of the rolls, but I’m a sashimi girl at heart. Aaron had the Touch of Fire roll and said it was really good. I’ll post a picture because it is quite a magnificent sight seeing the flames. :) Overall, the food with the fantastic service, quiet and serene atmosphere… It is an easy 5⁄5 and I’ll definitely go back.

Great restaurant! We have been dining here for years. The owner is there almost every time we go. He and his wife are so sweet and one time I saw him ice skating with his son at the Parks Mall. The sushi is excellent!!! The service is also excellent!!! You will enjoy it!:)

Best sushi in town! If you think sushi axiom is good sushi you haven’t tried the best sushi. Great service and atmosphere is very quaint. This is where my boyfriend and I come for date night and enjoy some sushi and their miso soup is the absolute best I always ask for a second serving. My bf likes to order something different every time and they’ve never failed! Always delicious and very flavourful. My only suggestion would be to maybe offer martinis on the menu. Must try!

Time for a review update! We came here around 9:30 at night on a Friday. There wasn’t anyone else here, but service wasn’t good for just being us. We were pretty much ignored. Of course, the husband ordered his beloved Shrimp Tempura roll. He also ordered a Republic Tea. They brought out my water, soup, salad, and our appetizer before they even told him that they were out of the flavor he wanted. His roll sat on the counter for 15 minutes with our waiter nowhere to be seen and sushi chefs doing nothing. I told him to go get it, he wouldn’t so I did. So now not only is he upset they failed to tell him no Republic tea, he had to wait to for 15 minutes for his wife to bring him his sushi, and then his beloved roll was falling apart on him. lol They only perk is that they are close to home and a nice quiet evening when they don’t piss off the husband.

I’ve been looking for a good sushi place in my area and Wasabi totally exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere was very nice, the selection was awesome, there was a roll on the menu for even the most discriminating tastes, our waiter Kirby was very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing!!! I would recommend this place to everyone before Sushi Tao, axiom, and piranha! I will definitely be back!!!

Great sushi. Been coming here for years and have never had a bad meal. Except the past year the service has gone downhill a little bit. They seem to go through waiters quickly but the food really makes up for it. The inside is excellent. Very nice atmosphere. They’ve always taken good care of us. Try the lobster spring roll for an appetizer. Very good. The vegas and crunch white fish rolls are good. OMG and rainbow rolls are great as well.

This place is great! It’s one of my favorites! I love the Oh My God Roll! Everything is always fresh. I recommend the scallops. They also have really good combination plates, and the service is quick and friendly. The atmosphere is quiet and laid back.

I want my sushi badge so decided to go and get it. First stop Wasabi Sushi: first thing is that it’s in a busy street on Hulen area in a shopping center. So wasn’t expecting a great décor. But boy was I wrong, the place looked fancy felt I was underdressed. Just for the record it is a casual place, FYI. Lol The hostess asked us if we wanted a table or sit by the sushi bar. We sat by the sushi bar, to see the sushi chefs do their thing. The waitress was great, introduced herself, told us about the specials and got our drink orders. Their menu selection is huge so asked our waitress what she recommend. So we ordered, she placed the order came back brought our drinks and extra plates, «sharing plates» which is awesome to tried each other’s orders. When she brought our orders and went to refill our drinks. We notice a strip of paper, another smaller menu. So ask our waitress what it was. She said,” it was their specialty sushi”. We had tried acouple of sushi bites by that time. We decided to try the speciality sushi so ordered the Toro sushi, tuna belly. It was good. She came back asked if we wanted dessert, we said,” we were good” and brought our check. Over all it’s great place, clean, fancy looking with a casual feel, staff was great, great menu selection, will definitely come back. Saw the flaming kiss sushi I want to try next time.

Service is going downhill. I have been eating here for about 3 years, tonight we had to wave our server down and beg for our food after nearly 30 minutes. Food was great which is why we love coming here but we will ask for a different server for sure. Had to ask for refills on drinks, kept filling tea glass with water. This is our 3rd time with this waitress and she hasn’t gotten better.

THEBESTSUSHI in Fort Worth Worth without a doubt!!! We have tried many but gravitate back to Wasbi Sushi each time. The ambiance is perfect for a date night but when we met up with friends we realized it was a great dine and chat place as well. The service is calm and quick. The soup and salad is a great way to start off the meal. The prices are even better than others! The owners are always around seating and overseeing. It is very well run… You can feel the good vibes from the chefs and servers. We always order soy paper so you can REALLY taste he freshness of the fish. The spicy salmon roll is a simple but perfect inexpensive roll. We love the Oh My God roll. Cherry Blossom, and Kiss the Fire are great rolls. Actually, all are great because all the fish is very fresh. I just wish they were open on Sundays. :(

This is my favorite sushi place for a few reasons. Reason The First: The staff has always treated my wife and I like VIPs. The hostess and the waiters are genuinely friendly and will engage in delightful small talk with you but won’t be a bother. Reason The Second: The sushi is fresh! It tastes really good. I don’t know what they put in their rice but I could just have a big bowl of the rice by itself. Reason The Third: Price is a big factor. The prices are very reasonable. It may not be the cheapest but it is far away from being expensive. Come check this place out and you’ll agree with me.
