The food was great and comes in a huge portion. Staff was really friendly. I will definitely be a return customer!

This is the best place to eat hands down! The food is always exceptional and the service is awesome! We have become regulars every weekend, the only down fall is that they close at 3 pm. Would love to be able to eat there in the evening. Go try them, you will not regret it!

I ordered pancakes and hashbrowns. The pancakes were very large — the largest that I have seen in the Fort Worth area. Tip: for an extra dollar per pancake, they will add pecans to the pancakes, which was not advertised on the menu. The pancakes and hashbrowns were both good. The wait staff was also nice and attentive. I would come back here again and recommend eating here.

Go if you want to eat A LOT of good food. This isn’t your wimpy $ 15 hipster breakfast. Great mom and pop diner experience. Friendly staff, place is usually hopping, even on weekdays. Big water cups along with random assorted coffee mugs. Wait staff is very attentive and happy to be there. I’ve never had to ask for a refill. Honestly all I ever get is the Big ol’ Café Breakfast(think that’s what it’s called) because it is that good. 3 eggs, choice of meat(actual substantial portion, esp. ham), hashbrowns, and 2HUGE sweet, fluffy pancakes all for around $ 7. I’m a fireman who loves to eat and usually can’t finish the pancakes. I always ask them to warm up the syrup for me which they happily do. Just go. You’ll leave happy and satisfied.

Walking in to this café you immediately feel as though you are in a diner with a family owned ambiance. The waitresses are very kind and see that your needs are met while you’re there. Coffee is served in coffee mugs you would have at home, compared to the undersized ihop or Dennys mugs. You’re given a creamer flavor of choice. We both ordered a meal for 7.49 each. Three eggs, three pieces of bacon, two pancakes and hash browns(the hash can be substituted for biscuits and gravy or toast). The pancakes were absolutely enormous and tasty. These pancakes were almost intimidating. Very fluffy, tasty and again… huge. The whole experience, the food, the ambiance, the wait staff… a real family feel that you wouldn’t mind frequenting. To top it all off, they’re very appreciative of military who visit the café and offer them free drinks. Great place.

Just GO. You can feel the pride they take in the great service and amazing food, how they don’t have a perfect 5 stars is beyond me. The wait staff is more precise and operates better than a well tuned machine. I will definitely make it a point to eat here any time I am in Ft Worth. Food’s good, price is great, service is outstanding. Amen.

If you read my reviews, you know that breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. I gravitate toward my coffee and country breakfasts on weekends because, as a teacher, I rarely get to eat a real breakfast during the week. River Oaks Café isn’t far from my house, and it’s relatively inexpensive. They offer several options for differing appetites which is hard to find these days. For example, I would definitely eat off of the senior menu at any restaurant in terms of my appetite, but i’m not a senior. So, I like that, at River Oaks, I can get a 1 egg breakfast with toast and hash browns for like $ 5. West Side Café is still my favorite, but River Oaks is a close second. They’re neck and neck in terms of the meal itself, but I like the coffee better at West Side. No matter which place you choose, you’ll have a great, cozy breakfast.

This place was so good… We stopped by after dropping my daughter off at the naval base. The town felt like we were stepping back in time. The service was on point, food was quick to come out, price is on point… The Toast is Amazing!!!

Amazing experience! I have been wanting to try ROC for a while so one day last week on our way back from Dallas, hubby was craving diner breakfast. At first view it seems like a hole in the wall(don’t be afraid, these places are the best) walking in it had this mom and pop, home cooked, comfy feel. The place is adorned with local memorabilia and hubby even got really happy when he seen the football jerseys he wore in high school on display. Husband ordered his usual country fried steak and eggs with hash browns, I chose the big breakfast. It was amazing! Hubby said the steak tasted home made and was very tender. Hash browns are fresh and made in house. The big breakfast was nothing short of that. They brew a great cup of coffee. Their fountain drinks are huge, fresh and free refills! We will definitely be coming back again!

Amazing breakfast! All of the staff is incredibly friendly and hard working. I have been many times(over ten) and have not had a bad experience to speak of. The pancakes are huge, fluffy, and probably better than your grandmas. My boyfriend gets them every time and every time he comments they are better than before. I am a fan of the pulled pork breakfast taco, which are fabulous for brunch. I have not gone at lunch yet, but plan to. If the lunch menu is half as good as the breakfast it will be well worth it!

I have been a long time Unilocal user, but have never written a review. I felt after coming so often to the River Oaks Café and having a great experience every time that I needed to write one! My husband and I found the café after moving to the area several months ago. We have most often had the breakfast and it has never disappointed. Our standby is the kitchen sink omelette, but the other items are great as well. Your coffee stays full and hot the whole time and the service is top-notch. Today is actually the first time we have come in for lunch. My husband ordered the patty melt and I got the BBQ chicken. Everything was as you would expect for a home style cooking restaurant. Things were good, but we still think breakfast is the best! Just a great atmosphere where you feel like you are in a small town!

I was skeptical on my way here but after I got my food, my fears were assuaged. It’s good ol’ comfort food. Decent portions. Hubs liked his pot roast. I had healthy breakfast tacos with their homemade salsa. This meal was perfect for our 4.5 hr drive back to Tulsa. You can tell they have many regulars. The service was great. They give free refills. They topped off my diet coke for the road. This is a gem and if you want to eat where the locals eat, come here!

Loved this place. I recommend the Cuban no matter what time of day it is. Great service and a home style feel environment. Pancakes are so fresh and taste just as amazing.

So, my boyfriend actually really enjoyed this place, and I tried really hard to do the same because I came with such high expectations and I LOVE breakfast food. But honestly, I just felt like the food was really bland and nothing spectacular! My boyfriend ordered the chicken fried steak and I ordered a french toast combo(with sausage & eggs). The french toast just tasted like eggy white bread, sprinkled with some sugar and cinnamon. I know that is what french toast typically is, but it just wasn’t very flavorful?! And the chicken fried steak also tasted like nothing, drenched in gravy that tasted like nothing. I was confused. Maybe my tastebuds just shut off for a day.
