Holy guacamole. This place was amazing! We started with the coconut shrimp rolls then I had the Kung Pao tacos. Both were freakin awesome. Tacos were deliciously spicy and oh so good. Great service too! The menu was full of unique options. We will definitely be back to try something else!

We LOVE Mijo’s Fusion! The service is always friendly and pleasant. Comfortable and cozy place to have lunch or dinner. I love the sort of secluded booths on the side wall. The food is AMAZING. We always get the Queso Blanco, which is so amazing. I’ve tried a lot off of their menu, and there’s nothing I’ve tried that I didn’t like. Not just that I tolerated it, but that it was delicious… Ultimate Nachos(brisket!!!), shrimp chalupas, green chile chicken lasagna, short ribs. So good.

Mijo’s was worth the 45 minute drive where I met a friend on her side of town. This is a mixed menu Mexican fusion restaurant where they offer vegan and vegetarian options and a healthy twist to Mexican food. I tried a new menu option, the chicken salad sandwich, which I had been craving for days. This went way beyond my expectations. It was plentiful and contained nuts, dried fruit and spices that gave it an awesome flavor. Because it was new the owner/chef came out to ask what I thought. She genuinely cared about the product she was putting out and wanted my feedback. Of course my first reaction was a literal two thumbs up because I had a pie-hole full of sandwich. If Mijo’s was closer I’d eat this once(or more) a week! One area where they need work is online. Their website menu differs from the in-house menu and IMO doesn’t properly reflect all options. So don’t judge them purely by the online menu.

I went back for a cocktail a few months ago. It was lovely. Fresh and not too sweet. Our bartender was knowledgable and nice and fast. We did not order food, but it looks like they don’t have the counter style ordering and I keep hearing good things about the food these days. I love the Mijos in Arlington. I’ll come give it another try. Thanks for responding, I know it was early on when I reviewed I am sure things are better.

I came and enjoyed dinner here by myself one night and it was such an enjoyable experience. I started off with an appetizer that consistent of mangos, avocados, and was a dip of some sort. It was pretty delicious and regret that I can’t remember the name. Then for dinner I had the angry Kung pao tacos and they were delicious but a little on the salty side. A dish I didn’t particularly enjoy was the fried rice. A dish I did enjoy was the stuffed zucchini. What really sold me: 1) green rice that came on the side of the tacos: WOW. 2) waitress sings happy bday opera style 3) ambience here is GREAT! Live band, good lighting, pretty things to look at 4) friendly staff 5) good drink selection

We LOVE this place! Local owner, grew up in the area. The combinations of foods you find here are not typical, but they are amazing! Two thumbs up, for sure!

I’ve just moved to the Magnolia area and just started exploring. Since studying began, I’ve been under a rock… Finally two weeks after it was all over and I was moved in, my best friend surprised me by showing up unannounced and we ended up walking down the street and ended up here. We needed to rekindle the bro-mance so I was down to eat whatever. I just wanted a taco before we got into whatever we were going to get into. The exterior looked like your typical hole-in-the-wall tex-mex spot with ridiculously good food. I’ve never been trolled so hard by a restaurant! I was planning to pop in, order something and just eat it as we explored the new region… what I got was completely different. I knew the moment I walked through the door that I was wrong about this place. The interior of this place is spectacular. Hardwood finish everywhere, great use of dim lighting, nice sturdy wooden tables with nice finish, private booths in the corners. This place was spotless and the bar looked amazing. Not too much on tap though. The service was great! Our server went far beyond what I usually expect. I noticed that all the servers seemed to do great. Not only did I never have to ask for anything because he was right on top of it, he also didn’t hover and kept his presence well maintained. The food did not disappoint. Be warned. Its a little pricey. Don’t expect to spend less than $ 13 a plate + drink + the 20% tip that server will definitely deserve(and then some). We ordered the Tuna Poke for an appetizer and then had their seafood paella for dinner. This would all go great with a nice white wine. I kick myself for not getting white wine. WHYDIDN’T I ORDERWHITEWINE?!? The tuna poke came as a platter with some wonton chips and some large chunks of sushi grade tuna. The tuna was tossed with a brown sugar soy glaze that had hints of ginger and wasabi powder. Also had chunks of fresh avocado and zucchini in there. Perfect way to start a meal. Seriously, though why didn’t I order white wine? Next up, the seafood paella. Not gonna lie. I had no idea what paella was. When asked by my best friend, I told him I did because I wanted to sound cultured. I honestly thought it was some sort of south american fruit. Dead serious. To my great astonishment, it is not fruit but a combination of all the seafood I’ve come to love that was sent from the heavens in a manner I never thought possible. Imagine craw fish étouffée with unicorns and flaming tigers flying out of it. Its like that but edible. Mussels, clams, bay scallops, shrimp and rice topped with this light cream based sauce. I tasted hints of red pepper and basil. Lots of garlic and probably some butter. Everything was perfectly cooked. Every item’s flavor was present. Nothing overpowering. No flavors masked. Every ingredient had a place. Also we didn’t feel weighed down after finishing up because apparently paella isn’t that heavy of a meal. I’m so tempted to get this same combination again next time I come here. Their menu is nice y’all. I know a few things after eating here: Paella is not a fruit, go in here wanting a taco and you might come out with the best experience you’ve had in a while and for pete’s sake get the white wine!

I was really impressed with Mijo’s. My friends and I stopped in on Saturday for lunch with a Groupon. We ordered the coconut shrimp roll for an appetizer and a variety of salads(I had the Caribbean) and tacos. The food was fresh, healthy and beautifully presented, and the service was excellent. I wish there were more restaurants like this.

Great atmosphere, great service and delicious food! We started off with the tempura battered jalepenos and the pita chips with cheese dip and they were delicious! Green chile chicken lasagna, brisket nachos and tacos la jolla were some of the entrees ordered and they were devoured they were so good! Definitely returning! Very delicious!

The food and service is great here. The owner came out and personally greeted us and made sure we had everything we needed. We celebrated my mom’s birthday here. It was a party of 8 and everyone loved it!

Food was delicious. Service was not great. My husband and I walked in for lunch on a Saturday and there were only about ten people dining. I saw the«please wait to be seated» sign, so I waited. A server walked by and asked how many I said two and he nodded to a booth and said you can sit there. Umm… okay. So we did and waited for at least ten min before we got waters and we got no menus so we waited another 15min then the server walked by and said«oh I forgot your menus.» Finally we got the menu which was a lot different than what was online. We ordered got our food and didn’t see the server again until he brought our check. My husband had the lettuce wraps and he enjoyed them. I had the korean short rib sliders and they were good but the portion was tiny. Overall, I doubt we will return.

My husband and I had visited Mijo’s before using a Groupon and thought it was pretty good. The food was unique and tasty, but we would never pay full price. This restaurant popped up on Groupon again and we decided to give it another go. Much to our dismay. .. it fell short this time around. My husband ordered the Argentina Mixed Grill and I had the Venezuela Paella. The AMG was yummy, but definitely not worth the price tag. .. only 4 shrimp and 4 slices of steak. The tragedy though, was the Venezuela Paella. They were out of the soft shell crab and the dish was SO incredibly salty. I typically am one who adds salt to my dish, but the broth was almost inedible. We won’t be visiting Mijo’s again in the future even if there is another Groupon. I love the concept and location of this place, but they have got to have the food to match.

I started with the Coconut Shrimp Roll and Mango Iced Tea. I was using a Groupon, so I splurged a little more than normal. I followed up the Coconut Shrimp Roll with Korean Short Rib Tacos and Tacos LaJolla with Shrimp. I didn’t remember seeing desserts on the menu. So, I was surprised when I was asked if I wanted dessert. I had the Tres Leches. The first plate was good. But, after having the other two(plus dessert), I would probably try a different appetizer. Like I said, it was good, but each plate was better than the one before it. The Tres Leches was an awesome topper for an excellent meal.

This is certainly a place for an adventurous palate! They do a good job of mixing different cuisines to create something new. I brought some«vanilla» family members and they gave it a big thumbs down however. So know the crowd you are with before venturing inside. I would really like to rank this higher, but a few things keep it at a three such as the staff not being very knowledgeable, being out of some items on the menu, and the place is a bit pricy(yay for Groupon). The overall feel of the place to me was that someone had a great idea, but it is not yet fully actualized. Lots of vegetarian options however(see pictures), and probably a nice place to enjoy a meal outside when the weather is fine. I may give this place another shot soon and will update if my opinion changes.

Mijos Fusion mixes Asian and Latin American foods to form a wonderful sensation on your tastebuds. Any fusion bowls are great. Also, if you are too nervous to try anything with a «fusion» spin on it they have amazing quesadillas, and the queso with fried pita chips are to die for! I really want the recipe. The wooden bar is also very alluring, and the whole environment is just dandy. Our server was very helpful too.
