So many better places to get bbq. This place is expensive for the amount and quality of food. There are a multitude of better bbq spots that aren’t chains.

Yum! My husband says this place is dope. We sought Unilocal for some tasty bbq and found this hidden gem less than a mile from our home. Best bbq we’ve had in a long time! Baked potato had fried onions on top — so good!

Enjoyed great BBQ the earlier part of September and wanted to commend the owner for his excellent customer service skills.(I know I’m a little late writing this but it’s because it was such a memorable experience that I wanted to make sure I put it in the review.) My family came in and they were hungry I was not but I didn’t want a huge adult meal. He allowed me to have a smaller portion and it was awesome. The barbecue was good and I appreciate that he was willing to explain the menu, the children’s discounts and for us to come back on Sunday’s. He also smokes meat for those wanting to feed persons at off site gatherings. We would go more often if we lived closer. I highly recommend this Dickeys BBQ!

They need to work on having better customer service. The last two times I’ve been here, someone has been in front of me. Both times I’ve had to wait 5 or more minutes for someone to acknowledge me, speak to me and inform me they will be right with me. Today I waited on purpose to see how long it would take. 10 minutes!!! Is it that hard to acknowledge a customer?!! That’s customer service 101. So, my review is based solely on their customer service, or lack thereof. The food is good, especially the fried onion tanglers.

Went last night and tried BBQTHERE. IF you go there the honey ham was pretty decent but the brisket sides and especially BBQ sauce was the the worst thing. Customer service was decent. But the food lacked. The Brisket was not moist enough. Honey ham had good flavor and it was very juicy. BBQ sauce just never hit the taste buds like head in country BBQ sauce.

Ok BBQ. Chain restaurant. Nothing special about the meat. Sides are ok. If you are in to BBQ go somewhere else. If you aren’t picky or from up north you probably won’t be able to tell the difference.

I’ve had take-out and eaten in a Dickey’s recently. Both times the service, wait time, and food quality wasn’t what I expected. The service has been very disorganized, food comes out a different times and some very basics haven’t been available. There are too many other choices with better food and service for my family to choose from.

If this place wasn’t so expensive, I would eat here twice a week, but will pay $ 4.00 for a side of potato salad or $ 8.00 for just a sandwich! Don’t get me wrong they food is delicious but BBQ is BBQ and I won’t over pay for it

We typically eat at the Dickey’s locations in the Collin County area but ate at the Fort Worth /Oakmont Blvd location when visiting a relative. We love the Dickey’s Barbecue chain but this location is not as good as the others due to small portions. At most of the Dickey’s locations in Dallas and Collin County, you get a decent portion of meat(served by staff) and you serve your own sides buffet style. So if you want a generous scoop of green beans or potato salad, you just served it up yourself. But at the Oakmont Blvd location, the staff serves both your meat as well as your sides. And the side portions they serve are tiny! At other Dickey’s locations, I never leave hungry, but at this one I did. In fairness, the food and service were good here. I consider most Dickey’s locations a great choice and a good value. But I would only recommend the Fort Worth /Oakmont Blvd Dickey’s for those who don’t mind paying full price for relatively small portions.
