I had the brisket sandwich and it was great ! I added some of the vinegar BBQ Sauce(which is tangy and amazing!). The Beer was cold and refreshing. The onion rings for app is the bomb !!!

Fantastic food, service, and atmosphere. Love the little mini pitchers the drinks come in. Food is great, great taste, great quantity for your money. Our server, Jennifer, is awesome! She knows what we like to eat and drink and suggests new items if she thinks we might like them. Wish I could give them more than five stars!

The food is so gross, have tried giving this place multiple chances due to being so close to my work and each time was severely disappointed. Prices are way to pricey for the small portions and bad service.

I can excuse slow or bad service… terrible food. Ribs were so dry they were inedible. Brisket was mushy and strange. Tea was good! It was served in a half pitcher and once I ran out, that was it. Pulled pork was ok.

My boyfriend and I went into red hot and blue over by TCU last Sunday night(Mother’s Day.) we had never been and wanted to try something new. When we walked in we were promptly greeted and sat down pretty quickly. What happened next was pretty bizarre… Our waiter(talk, darker skin, black hair in a bun) came to our table and we immediately noticed that something was off. He never introduced himself. And He seemed drunk/high. My boyfriend asked him what the seasonal fruit was and he listed off a bunch of vegetables. He continuously made«suggestions» of what we should try and couldn’t even form a coherent sentence. We also found one of his eyelashes in my boyfriends margarita. I probably won’t be coming back. The food was subpar and the service was beyond strange. Perhaps they should start drug testing their employees

I was so excited to come back to Red Hot and Blue! It had been YEARS! The food was great, and they provided an array of bbq sauces,(try the sweet and the hot combined) the service was by far the best I think I’ve ever had. Constant refills without asking, and napkins without needing to ask. Jakob was our server, and due to his great service, we will be back!

We went there today(Sunday) I was in no shape impressed with the food. Now granted buisness was slow today so we may have been eating the food that was smoked yesterday. I had a 5 meat trio and the Ribs were dry and hard as Jerky. Worse ribs I have ever had and I have had some pretty bad food. The chicken and pulled pork was pretty tasty sausage was very dry and the sliced brisket was very very dry as well. When it came time for dessert I chose the Banana pudding and my children chose the peach cobbler. The Banana pudding was okay, definitely nothing home made but Okay. The Peach cobbler was horrible and my children would not even eat theirs after the first bite, they said that the peaches tastes like pickles, so naturally I had to give it a try and indeed, they tastes like the peaches had been soaking in pickle juice lol. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff was very nice. I will give the place a second chance as I love a good burger and theirs looked delicious. As of now I will only give the place a 2 star rating based on today’s food experience. Edit: I just remembered over hearing at the bar where a guy had sat down for a beer that they are all out of beer and that they only had one brand left. Really a bar runs completely out of beer on tap? That was a first for me to hear about.

Went here looking for BBQ and tried the brisket platter. I’m not a southern native so I have to admit that I don’t know my BBQ, but I thought most of the food was just ok. I assume the cat fish, fries, and hush puppies are pre-made frozen and didn’t really taste like anything. The BBQ was ok, but left something to be desired. The staff is very friendly and we had a good time.

Good service. Ribs were dry and warm not hot. Pulled pork sandwich was dry, but the bun was nice. Casual atmosphere but the food just is not that good.

This place isn’t horribly but definitely not great by any means. The wings were so salty they were almost inedible. The fried pickles are delicious. Salads are barbecue are mediocre at best without much excitement or flavor. The girls at the pickup window are nice

I tried this place out again at the request of the awesome manager. Ribs were WAY more juicy and tender this time. Seemed like a completely different cook made them, the difference was like night and day. Also had cheese fries, potato salad and the frozen sangria. The side dishes were good, the frozen sangria was a bit lackluster but it’s only $ 4 for a tall glass so I don’t have much room to complain. I will say though that the service in the bar was slow/almost non existent, that’s why I’m taking away a star. I’m not sure if they have anyone working it before happy hour. All in all it was a much better food experience.

There is an irony to the slooooow service. Barbecue should be a long, slow cooking process, but the smoke ring on the brisket was almost nonexistent. The ribs had a crust of dry rub from cooking too quickly. The beans tasted like they came from a can. But we had to wait for our drinks(which came after our appetizer) and for the check. Still waiting on the check as I type, in fact. The one redeeming thing was our appetizer — the onion rings are fantastic. Will come back for those, but skipping anything else.

I concur with Kendall S. It was just OK. Had one of those overly long and overdone menus. Everything was fine and it filled us up but didn’t wow us. We got there within 30 minutes of the kitchen closing which puts them at a disadvantage. However, if the doors are open, deliver the goods! The mac & cheese was probably my favorite. I’ve had better ribs, better sausage & better brisket. We had 6 people in our group and our server treated us well and everything was served fast. A couple of people reported their food was cold. I rather doubt this location will be on my list in the future. They do have a strong Unilocal check-in discount, so if you like the place definitely check in and grab your swag!

Caitlyn and Kolbey were the best! Thank you all for a 40th birthday to remember! It was a wonderful dinner, drinks and cobbler. Dre gave my birthday surprise drink that made my night! Not your father’s root beer! The party started as soon as we walked in the door, greeted by Caitlyn! She is a TCU student that has a bubbly personality along with the brains to back it up! Kolbey was fast with refills and hot bbq platters. He is ex marine so you know everything will perfect! Dre visited with every table making sure smiles were all over the room.

Four point five stars! Check In and get a coupon! Really can’t beat that! So we were STARVING and needed a place close to campus. Great find! Host staff was friendly and attentive. Waitress got to the table quickly. Caitlyn was fantastic. A very nice manager came around to check on our progress… we were tearing through some yummy dinner. I ordered the pulled chicken… light on the sauce but plenty available on the table. My daughter had a HUGE peach tea… refills…unlimited but unnecessary. Wings were tasty and not too hot. We had two mini desserts… Pecan Cobbler and Banana Pudding. Both were amazing and delicious and made right there. The ONLY corrections would be the addition of wet naps and a less sticky table. Although the table was probably sticky from the previous use of the plentiful BBQ sauce.

Red Hot & Blue is a restaurant that serves up Memphis style barbecue. You will be entertained with Blues music. The walls are decorated with guitars and concert flyers from the 1940s-1960s. Concerts from the one and only Elvis, Rolling Stones, and more. It’s neat to see. RH&B is a chain. I will be a debbie downer and say that I’ve had BBQ in Memphis and it doesn’t compare to Memphis. We’ve been coming here for years and the service is a hit or miss sometimes. A few months back they had a special that came with a salad. They tried charging me .99 for the salad when it clearly stated that it comes with it. Not special plus a salad for 99 cents. The waitress agreed with me, but the manager argued with me over it, but didn’t charge me the 99 cents. I usually keep my mouth shut and just eat, but that day for some reason it perturbed me. Lately, it has been good and the servers have been friendly. The same goes for the food as well. It’s decent. I love that they serve your drink in pitchers. The ribs you get them dry, sweet, or wet. The dry comes with just seasoning, the sweet have their Sufferin Sweet sauce on them, and their wet ribs have the Mojo Mild on them. They have several sauces from Mojo Mild, Sufferin Sweet, Hootchie Cootchie, and Double Trouble. I do like their half smoked chicken and their smoked turkey sandwich. I usually get the Lone Star Delta double, which comes with ribs and another meat. Their Brunswick stew is okay. Being raised near Brunswick, GA I’ve had better Brunswick stews. For dessert they have a pecan cobbler. It’s delicious. I have a love-hate relationship with this place. My kids love it. Especially my son. He loves guitars and Blues music. RH&B makes my kids happy, so it gets an extra star :). Oh, I forgot my phone at home so I couldn’t check in *gasps*. However, I downloaded the Unilocal app on my husband’s phone and checked in. Glad I did because they are offering 25% off your check when you check in! Even better :)
